These young shots are the next generation of the countryside! This sort of thing and shoot day should be offered by more shoots to encourage the next generation to keep the countryside alive so many more generations can enjoy it
As a Dad with a ten year old who has been in the field since he was 2, Wild fowling, Beating, Butchering and cooking what we harvest i think this video is absolutely inspired. It promotes how children gain confidence, discipline, interact with adults and stay fit and healthy all in one day. Keep doing what you are doing please.
Another great video from Tim and his team, The future of our sport is the young guns, Teach them well and you have taught them for life. Well done to all involved.
When are people going to start offering these experiences not just to kids from shooting/country families but to people in their twenties and thirties who have never picked up a gun? These kids aren’t allowed to even buy a gun yet, much less afford the high (and increasing) cost of game shooting. By the time they’re in that position, in twenty years’ time, we’ll be very lucky if shooting is still here. We need to recruit people with financial and political agency NOW.
Something I’ve never been able to understand. Why do you like killing things ? It’s not normal. Do you think guns give you the power to kill creatures which were put on this earth and which have as much right to an existence as you have.
The human race are omnivores, we consume both animals and plants and have done for hundreds of thousands of years. To say it is not normal is simply wrong. Almost all cultures around the world have evolved with some elements of hunting. We respect that you don't eat meat, wear leather or are complicit in any animals dying for your food but that is not how the vast majority of the world's population live.

Great. Always thought the big shoots could donate a small 40 bird day each year for youngsters but sadly so many won’t
I’d love to go picking up there but I only have 2 dogs! 😢
What breed spaniel or Labrador

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment before you left the film.

Shame about the annoying music and slow motion stuff. You had the makings of a good film and ruined it.
