i remember my mom would buy me Pokemon cards from this little Chinese store all the time, a few years later after she passed away when i was around 17 turning 18 and she passed when i was 15 i went through them all and i threw away at least 600 fake cards, i wish i would've kept them just cause my mom bought them for me but i honestly just didn't have the space, if i could go back id keep them all just cause i feel bad now knowing she bought them and i tossed them. sure id never play them unless friends want to but still. as for yugioh, i have over 700 cards and 3 decks, its my shit lol. well i was given most of them by my councilor so i assumed they were fake and id get a few real one, well i was fucking wrong lol 98% of them were real and i found some fake traps, like 2 fake monsters and a fake spell and again i tossed them, but ive stopped tossing fakes because i like to have them as reference points and i think its cool to find them here and there when you buy off the internet and get it in bundles with real cards, i just found a fake in my 700+ cards, i found an electric tool dragon....... does that sound weird? maybe its because it doesn't exist lol its supposed to be a power tool dragon. I'm not tossing it tho, its surprised me since I go through all my cards constantly and never noticed one of my synchros was a fake, im definitely keeping it because it made it so many years under my nose and i no longer want to toss my fakes.
Went through a stack of my sons, found one that was off from originals , told him to play it anyways. He only plays with his cousins . They only play against him . None of them trade nore treat their cards kindly .

I got some pretty convincing fake cards today. I got a bunch of old real packs from a store in a neighbourhood outside city. He carried he usual off brand toys but official things as well. I know for a fact the cards were real, I'm not a total noob, besides one of the packs. Which was the only pack left from that series. I noticed right away how this pack was much harder to open and when I looked inside some of the cards were turned the wrong way. They just feel wrong and even tho they have the little 3D square they overall just seem different in many ways but the fact that they had the 3D square where both the eye and "Yu-Gi-Oh!" was reflected made it a bit confusing at first. But it was silver like you showed. It's possible that he wasn't simply very knowledgeable and got a fake box one of the times and it had just been left there together with real packs ordered from another time. They were all 5D's so they must have been there for ages. I''m glad the other packs were real so no point getting worked up about just one. They were cheap as they were. I basically bought every other pack he had anyway and even got a discount because of that. That said, it's always good to be extra careful. The pack looked normal but on second look the colours were a bit darker than the other packs I got. The fake one was Absolute powerforce. The real ones were Crossroad of chaos and Ancient prophecy. Compared to many fakes, this was the best one so far I've seen.
Also on one of the cards it's called Frembell helldog instead of Flamvell firedog. lol It's like they directly translated it from Japanese. Therefore the engrish. So that was the final giveaway.
I know this is old but this is for value if your going to sell these on ebay for thousands and you wanna make sure it's real that's the only reason but still I wouldn't even buy cards for that much or sell them due to people saying it's fake and making false claims so really there isn't a good way

I ended up comparing them to my other cards and the fake ones seem to be a lil off color, sometimes the come out looking a shade lighter or more vibrant. Some of the five aways are some traps and spell and summoners have gold fonts and the fakes actually end up being white/ black fonts. When you get up close the the type, it might look blurry or pixelated. Price was too good to be true but I took the Risk simply because I found them in an antique mall, thought they were authentic.

Just ordered a bunch of cards on wish, apparently being shipped from china. The cards in the pics mostly say 1st edition, but don't have a logo in the bottom right corner, I'm guessing those are probably fake? Great. One of the reviews has a pic, the cards do have the logos, but are missing the trademark.

the main thing is if the effects are the same.Almost all you gi oh players play the game for fun not for tournaments.

If you want to spot fake cards, check the grammar.
