Jesus, the 300 HP Chrysler 300S trapped 97 mph through the 1/4 mile like this 300C did. I know this was the heavier AWD version of the 300C, but I'm still shocked that it ran the same trap speed as the RWD V6 version. Goes to show you how impressive the V6 is combined with an 8 speed automatic.
@@TheSavage3.6 I know this is a 5 speed. The V8 didn't get the ZF 8 speed until 2015. I was saying that the 300 HP Chrysler 300 V6 with the 8 speed trapped the same as this 300C V8. The 8 speed 300C 5.7 is quite a bit faster.

@basslover352 In '13 or '14, the HEMI 300s and Chargers will get the 8-speed automatic. So will Grand Cherokees and Durangos as well with the Pentastar. The only vehicles with the HEMI engines are the Durango, Grand Cherokee, and Ram Trucks.

@Frostyhunter21 The new 2012 model year car will be better especially with the V6 models with the 8-speed auto that greatly improves fuel economy. Enthusiasts will like the SRT-8.
@arashn89 That is not true! Lets say you look at the Ford Taurus SHO which is twin turbo. It is only rated at 365 hp. Its not like the engine isn't capable of higher hp because it is in the Ram 1500 which is at 390hp. The only thing turbo chargers have on naturally aspirated engines is fuel efficiency. Now in 2012 the 300 will have the new 8-speed boasting a 19 city / 31 highway which is best in class. Make sure you compare it to other vehicles its size and in the E segment. Not a camry or civic

I agree, they should've done better job on the interior. While it was step above from the previous gen, Chrysler still used a ton of that cheap plastic that you see in all of their models. I drove a rental for about a week, it was low miles car and interior made all kinds of noises....ride was stiff and it felt cheap...300 is not a bad car, but it has so much room for improvement and Chrysler need to make stand out form rest of their cars.
@GOBbluthagain Its cousin Dodge Charger has 370 hp from its HEMI. Now, if you want super HP, get the SRT-8; 465 hp and lb/ft of torque, and that's for both Charger and 300, and the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
@YiJustin558 true but this car is not fuel efficient either, it uses the mpg of a v8 but gives out the power of a single turbo v6 , why dont slap on a turbo and decrease displacement.. with today turbos their is no more turbo lag of the last decade, fuel economy could easily increase by 15-30 % like the Europeans ( Merc, BMW, Audi etc etc)
