The Pentastar V6 in this Chrysler produces 300 hp, the same as the turbo I6 in the 335i. A similarly-equipped 3-series would cost about $51,500 (AWD isn't yet available on the new 3, but it cost an additional $1400 on the old 3-series). So for $10,000 less, the 300 gives you 3-series power, the same ZF gearbox used throughout the BMW lineup, a more comfortable ride and the seating/storage space of a 5-series. By that reasoning, I wouldn't blame anyone for buying that "crap" over a 3-series.
Just bought a 2016 300s V6 last month. dark grey color with 20 inch wheels and blacked out front grill. so far it is ok city driving. traded in my Mazdaspeed 3 for it and every aspect is opposite. but for such a big car it drives like somthing much smaller and nimble. it's actually fun and 300 HP is enough with the 8 speed transmission.
Nice review. This car kicks ass. The whole Chrysler lineup has stepped up its game so much in the last couple years. You just can't beat this 300, the new Grand Cherokee, the new Charger, or the Ram Longhorn.
Well, that's expected from a vehicle that's smaller, that Beamer of yours is almost 1000 lbs lighter than the Chrysler. By the way, nice purchase on your 328i. Which package did you purchase (comfort, sport, luxury)?
Ross-I have one the Limited and you are not joking about the nimbleness of the streering and the engine-I had to dodge and accelerate past an accident a few days when a guy skidded into my lane-she MOVED quick and I didn't have to overcorrect to stay in control.
That's a hell of a lot of car for the money. It's as big as a 5-series but costs more than $10,000 less than a 3-series since the Pentastar V6 offers as much power as the 3-series' turbo I6. The lack of a manual transmission is a deal-breaker for me, but the ZF 8-speed is the same used throughout the BMW range, so customers will surely be happy.
They did upgrade this car nicely from the older models. The 8 speed transmission and the v6 are much better. The leather was very top notch. I don't like the dash design very much, but it's a vast improvement for Chrysler.
Great car. Chrysler hit the ball out of the park with this car, if i was to get one I would have to have the leather stitched interior pieces, might as well spend the extra dough and have one of the nicest built cars around.
One of my family members just brought one a 300C and they let me take it for a test drive. The car is big and roomy and I like the features that it came with, but if I brought one I think I would past on the V-8 mix driving yield only 19.5 MPG with city around 15.5 and HWY just under 24 with speed ranging from as low as 30 to as high as 65 MPH. Maybe the MPG will get better with more miles.
I just tried to sit in one of these and if I sit up remotely straight, my head hit the roof! Now it had the sunroof, but even if it had another 4 inches of headroom, it wouldn't have mattered. What gives? I tried an older one, and I had plenty of clearance
Simply an amazing and beautiful car. I have a 2005 with only 60,000 miles so I`m debating on buying me the new model. Not sure if I really want a car payment when my car still looks almost like new. Plus I put on a bunch of extras. Bentley Grill, 20 inch chrome rims, chrome pieces all around, spoiler, and a bumping stereo system. Chrysler has surely got a winner with the 300 especially the 300C with the hemi. If I was rich I would surely buy the SRT8 model along with an SRT8 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
I bought it in sport line with an exterior colour of alpine white and interior colour of red. It may be smaller but a lots of that size from the chrysler is the hood and the long roofline , but the size doesnt translate into the interior that well compared to the 328i
@weedmastersr yes they had. it was only after Chrysler was bought by Fiat that this car was upgraded. else what it was "soldering on" in terms of interior quality is known to the world
Dodge Charger, Toyota Avalon, Nissan Maxima, and Hyundai Genesys. That big Buick might also be in this segment but the base model is just an I4 so it doesnt really compete with the cars mentioned above since all of those have a base engine of V6.
No, it's not. It's 3.6 V6 with 292 hp, and you're accelerating this Chrysler 300 that weighs over 4000 lbs. 7 seconds? -- that's prettty good. Want more power? get the 5.7 V-8 HEMI (360 hp) or if you have the ponies for it ($50k+) there's the SRT-8 version with 465 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque with the 6.4L V-8.
I rented this car while my car was at the shop. I love this car but the only problem I had with it was the acceleration was very different from the cars I've driven before. It speeds up slowly unless u floor it and take the rpm to 5 or higher. And I could never find a comfortable position while driving. It has a lot of controls for the driver seat. The window is too high and small so I couldn't put my elbow on the window lol it is one of the sexiest and for a heavy car, I kinda lost control onc
I love the way chrysler has improved this car and the new look. Im turning 20 on the 18th and looking to get one soon. I think this 300 would make a good family car to start with and to keep for a long time. I dont have any kids but getting this car would be a great way to prepare for one in my opinion.
It's nice until you get inside and realise how poorly everything fits. The little cubby near the shifter does't open until you punch it through the dash, the joins under the HVAC controls to the centre console flex about 2 inches either way, the sunglass holder squeaks if you think about touching it, there's way too much hard dodgy plastic. In general poor fit lines and poor materials don't cut it when even the Koreans have figured it out.
You can get a lemon from any car company. Dont know what year your Jeep is but Chrysler`s quality is right at the top these days. I have a 2005 300 and a 2005 Grand Cherokee and between the 2 I have only had to replace the tie rods on the 300. That was probably not Chrysler`s fault. I have low profile tires and there is pot holes in MI. that you can drive into, lol.
Nice reviev, nice car but not nice that U Ross dodnt mention how much chrysler specialy 300 enteriour get from lancia/fiat all inside nice style is lancia europe designe, same 8speed auto. I think that no many of US know that?
DONT GET THE 2-POSITION SHIFTER, IT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have this same car and the shifter sucks.. Yesterday I pushed the shifter up, thinking it went into to park, then I pushed the button to shut the car off but there was so much road noise I didnt realize the car didnt shut off and that it only went into in "reverse". When i got out, started walking away, the car started moving in reverse and if I didnt have the wheels slightly turned, it would of hit the car parked behind me..
Want better gas mileage?? Just add more gears!! ...or do what Nissan did and use a CVT. An 8-speed transmission is just stupid in my opinion -- complete overkill!! The thing about adding gears is you only have so much room in the housing and you'll eventually run out of space. Not to mention, you're adding more weight and losing power between shifts which can be counterproductive to your cause. I could be wrong. I was wrong once before... ONCE!!! ;^)

I found one in that exact color with the 5.7, 19k with 44k miles, it’s 7 years old so I’m wondering if it’s still worth buying
Nice review. This car kicks ass. The whole Chrysler lineup has stepped up its game so much in the last couple years. You just can't beat this 300, the new Grand Cherokee, the new Charger, or the Ram Longhorn.
This car looks absolutely gigantic next to Ross in the end.
The V6 is only 1 second less faster than the hemi 5.7 how do you like them but it is
Well, that's expected from a vehicle that's smaller, that Beamer of yours is almost 1000 lbs lighter than the Chrysler. By the way, nice purchase on your 328i. Which package did you purchase (comfort, sport, luxury)?
I'm very impressed with the changes Chrysler has made! With the V8 this car is truly a badass sleeper!
Chrysler is upping their game. It's good to see an American car that's a quality product !!!
Ross-I have one the Limited and you are not joking about the nimbleness of the streering and the engine-I had to dodge and accelerate past an accident a few days when a guy skidded into my lane-she MOVED quick and I didn't have to overcorrect to stay in control.
Going to pick mine up this weekend if all goes well.
When was this filmed .... has roadfly been holding out on us? Nice review ross!
Ross may be a petite person, but he is by far the best reviewer on roadfly
Good car but I real concern is how will the build quality last 1 2 3 or 4 years before the car starts to fall apart
Ross, when was this shot? (While typing this, it's late June).
is it sooooooooooooooooooo hard to watch in 720p?

what type of cars are in the 300 segment again??
ROSS ROSS ROSS - he is the best when it comes to car reviews : )
They did upgrade this car nicely from the older models. The 8 speed transmission and the v6 are much better. The leather was very top notch. I don't like the dash design very much, but it's a vast improvement for Chrysler.
2:40 is Ross's Head small or the Headrests are the size of the Pillow?
Great car. Chrysler hit the ball out of the park with this car, if i was to get one I would have to have the leather stitched interior pieces, might as well spend the extra dough and have one of the nicest built cars around.
How tall is Ross? 5'6"?
Thank you very much for this review! I love the outakes! 🤣
Great review Ross!

At the end, did the cameraman tell Ross to "suck it up" when he was complaining about his throat lol.

Just got mine today.....WOW I LOVE IT
It's a matter of an hour if you've got a half decent connection. 1080p should be the standard for big channels today.
thanks for the chrysler commerical ross
He says it starts at 37,000 and on the screen says 27,000, I am not sure which one is the correct one however it's beautiful car though!!
@weedmastersr yes they had. it was only after Chrysler was bought by Fiat that this car was upgraded. else what it was "soldering on" in terms of interior quality is known to the world
He says its a huge car, and at 4:40 i'm like wow.. that is a huge car. lol.
how big is that thing....
I'd get it all black or white, either way this car looks gorgeous!
Dude where are you that you have that coat on smh cuz I need to be there it's 97 deg in nyc.
Great looking ride!
Nice review.

Bought a 300C diesel very impressed
nice summer jacket Ross
love the shifter
Can he see over the dash ?
Seriously astounded by just how effectively Fiat has been able to turn around Chrysler.
Love the shifter...looks like it was pulled from an A8
He says their test car stickers for under 37 but on the screen it says 39 but the base price is right under 27
His lacked the Safety-tec package which adds adaptive cruise control, xenon headlights and more.

I want the Luxury Series soooo bad
I love going on youtube at 230 in the morning I don't know what it is
whats with the elevator music in the background?
There aren't any Italian cars in this class (except Lancia Thema which is actually a Chrysler 300).
I rented this car while my car was at the shop. I love this car but the only problem I had with it was the acceleration was very different from the cars I've driven before. They need to bring back the Magnum!
it's June 23rd... why is Ross wearing a winter jacket and acting like he's freezing?
@GBraidi78 I think the 27 is correct , 37 seems a little steep for a base 300 lol
He should wear the clothes he wore in his LEAF review :D No, just joking, superb test review :)
BEAST!!!!!!!!!!

love this car

I like the new 300.
Yes.
Come on guys, give Chrysler some credit.
Review the Acura ILX!!!
I love Ross, but he's too short for big car reviews! Lol Great Review Ross Keep It Up!
Yes, all new Mopar cars have real materials ... wood alum leather ... etc.
It looks like an old video. Trees have no leaves. Why so late with this one?
Love the car!!!

I used to hate Ross n think he was boring. But he's kinda a badass
as if 1080p would ever load! Hell, even 240p gives my computer a hard time
i know right!
this car is BOSS
This car looks like rugged ass luxurious tank.
"at the bottom of the options list, I didn't even notice it untill I started driving the car is AWD"...............wtf!!!!!! are you serious o_O'???
to be honest the old styling looked way better than this one
"heated and cooled cup holders" ........ that's nothin, my 52' Edsel has a chinese carryout splash protector lol ;-O
my dad has your shirt.... i thought you should know that.
Awesome interior. But those tail lights make the car look cheap, IMO.
You're comparing this to a BMW?
Your videos are so low on volume. Bad for mobile phones
Mom just bought one
coming soon to ever black mans driveway!
im sold
I still chose toyota, honda, mercedes, bmw, audi..etc..over chrysler, ford or gm
Sweet!
@ThisGrilledCheese Yes it's just u and what r u doing watching car reviews, go watch cheese reviews
There is no such thing as a '52 Edsel. Edsels were only around from '58-'60.
@domestickid Good to know, I love the car! Thanks! :)
I guess you never drove a new CTS or CTS-V.
Want better gas mileage?? Just add more gears!! ...or do what Nissan did and use a CVT.

Is true, look at 1:19 how high the dash look is the dude ha ha ha lol
the car looks even bigger next to that guy.
