1975 World Champion and 1985 European Champion. Total angling legend!! I was surprised to see he casts in the normal style these days. Watch a video from way back and you'll see what I mean.

I had a fantastic four days fishing at Holgan Farm last September. The most beautiful, tranquil fishery and Ian was incredibly helpful. Cant wait to go again. Cannot rate it high enough.

just a thought ,if you ever get a chance to go to one of ians road shows GO,he is as good with his show as he is with his fishing ,i have to say watcing this man fishing with the slider is poetry in motion effortless, his acurracy pinpoint, this is true of other methods ,but the slider was ians baby he perfected it,and provided us all with a brilliant method ,all the hard work and thought already done ,how selfless is that then again a great man

Waxworms are the larvae of the waxmoth, specially treated with a completely natural process to inhibit pupation and aid storage. Highly nutritious with soft skins Waxworms are suitable for feeding to any lizard or insectivorous aviary bird or wild bird.
Normal maggots are the larvae of the blue bottle fly, Pinkies are larvae of the green bottle fly and are somewhat smaller than a bluebottle maggot, and are naturally pink in colour, they are died red by the maggot supplier for anglers.

@faylonglis pinkies are the product of the green bottle ,little escape artists they can climb out of anything,as ian says in the video particulary when the weather /water tempreture drops and the fish want a small bait ,get your hands on his videos ,trust me u wont regret it,if you want too breed your own pinkies or other maggots let me know

i got a question, looking at carp line reviews and forums lately i keep seeing 9reading) the same thing, red line is great as red is the first colour to become invisible in water. How the hell do fish see red maggots then :) lol

This isn't even real fishing. He uses pellets and worms so he can call fish in on a fish farm. Wow, that sounds like a fun challenge to me.....
