  • A quick and efficient method to flush out boat engines.
The Easy Flow System is a quick connect water inlet valve that allows you to flush your entire boat circulation system from one convenient location on your boat. It provides a sealed water inlet to a passageway leading to the water pump.
With the engine not running, water passes from the valve through a tee then to the water pump where it stops and then vents back from the tee down and out the out-drive vents. The out-drive vents prevent over pressurization at the water pump. With the engine running the water is pumped through the rest of the circulation system.
The direct flow of pressurized water enables the water pump to pump the maximum amount of water through the circulation system. There is an oversupply of water to the water pump with the water turned on fully that blocks the passage way from the out-drive preventing air from sucking in through the out-drive vents. The oversupply of water is due to the difference between the lesser demand for water required by the water pump and the oversupply of water provided by a standard city water supply. This over supply of water to the water pump is evident by more water than usual coming out of the exhaust vents while your flushing.
After flushing the quick connect cap quickly and securely seals the valve inlet completely sealing the system so that it can function as usual.

Is the T connection made of plastic or metal?

Does this work on alpha1 drives ?

How does this work effectively when the seawater pump does 40lpm at idle and a garden hose is like 20lpm , isn't it still going to be sucking seawater in from outdrive pick up ?

Per a spec sheet for a C series 400 engine, raw water flow is 63 gpm (assuming that number is at rated rpm. So, doing the math calculating a flow of 14.5 gpm 18.7 gpm at an idle of 750 rpm.
A city water connection via 5/8th’s to 3/4th’s 50 foot hose at 40 PSI will deliver 17 to 22 gallons a minute and more if the hose is 25 foot. There are flow rate charts for those concerned about this. For boats with greater pump flow rates then city water provides there is the option of a shut off valve, although accessing the engine defeats the convenience, and some boaters with greater flow rates are satisfied with flushing with brackish water when accessing the engine is difficult.
