  • This video reviews 20 liquid highlighters and glowy primers that may be appropriate for mature sensitive skin.
The products are shown being mixed with moisturizer and applied to my skin, without the use of liquid foundation.
I have found this approach to give my skin a subtle shimmer that I feel is quite youthful and attractive.
The video starts out with a detailed review of the Westman Atelier Liquid SuperLoaded Sheer Illuminator Highlighter, which unfortunately contains synthetic fragrance and turned out to be irritating to my sensitive skin.
I am happy that many of these other choices worked out better for me!

Great review and comparisons with all those highlights. What a shame about the fragrance- not good for sensitive skin.

Anything that Oprah is involved in, I don’t think I want any part of and the price point is ridiculous.
I really like the Merit line and have been using this. I like the serum. I don’t use a highlighter.
I am not going to use a lot of products anymore and I am finding out that less is best.
The cosmetic companies are focusing on younger customers and forgetting about the consumer who is 60 and older. I will be 65 in August.
When you get a reaction from a product, what do you do? Go with bare skin and give your face a rest?
This was very helpful and important for people.
Thank you for sharing your experience about these products.

It would be interesting to know what the total spending is by age group, and also how likely people in different age groups are to buy higher-end products. I do think that the 50+ market is being highly overlooked, so far anyway. ❤

@@lisapetrison-beautyreviews If for no other reason that older folks may be in a better position financially to purchase the more expensive products.

Oh, I missed the part where you asked what I do when my face reacts negatively, Dawn. I think that the reactions tend to be caused by the microbiome of my face getting messed up by stuff, since things that would seem to be helpful with regard to the microbiome seem to be most helpful in terms of bringing my face back into balance. I use hypochlorous acid (Tower 28 SOS spray or Briotech) and/or ozonated oils (PurO3), along with skincare with fermented ingredients (Fitglow Calm line seems especially good). Those things don't allow me to regularly use cosmetics with problematic ingredients in them, but they do help me to recover from problems a lot faster!

Hi Lisa, how do you know the Victoria Beckham primer only lasts 6 months? I can’t find that info anywhere.

In looking at the label on the bottom of the bottle, there is a container with the word "6M" in it. For the Augustinus Bader Rich Cream, it says "12M." ❤
