Great review, thanks for taking the time to create.
Your fans should be ducted in parallel out of your booth, you will get a bigger benefit. If you got a second weed fan just put 2x flanges on the top of the box at the back of the filter and shift air though the whole open area behind the filter. You'd get much better air flow and a less windowed effect in the middle of the filter.

Wow, all those bright colors about burned out my monitor! Really nice review - I didn't think the fluorescent market was that well served. I like the "drop of paint on the cap" - I have been doing that for years because the bottles don't show well in my paint rack. It also shows how the paint will look when dry.

Fantastic video! I would've liked to see them under a blacklight too...might help in deciding how good the "glow" is.
I love seeing the tests! It helps me decide what to buy and what not to buy. Any company that is confident in their product should send you paints to sample so we can see the results...I think it'll help sell their product.
I hope you are able to get some revenue from youtube to help fund the tests...this is truly a channel to help the community. If you end up starting a patreon or something of the sort to help fund the tests, I'd be on board.
In the future I think it'd be cool to see a "clear coat" test. Like the best clear for Tamiya type paint, best for vallejo type acrylic, etc.
    Thanks for all you do!

i went to hobby lobby the other day and i got some fluorescent paints 6/$9.00 in 4oz bottles good deal i thought there brand is tempera paints when i got home there wasn't any thing saying oil or water base paints i looked to see if you did a video with this brand and i couldn't find it so i as you if you did one or are going to?

Any plans to look at the Wicked Colors Fluorescent Colors paints?

    • @barbatosrex9473
      @barbatosrex9473  3 роки тому +1

I was buying some when I did my Wicked Colors test but they actually say they don't last long and that they fade away over a short period of time so I strayed away from them. I might revisit them but I would hate to recommend a product that someone paints their Gundam with only to have it fade away in a year so I am torn

@@barbatosrex9473 Ah yeah, I remember seeing that mentioned and I wound up avoiding them too (but I am trying out some of their opaque line the next couple of times I fire up my airbrush, at least for terrain). Thanks for reminding me of such.

No, your thinking of glow in the dark. These are just fluorescent, they need the black light on them to glow. Check out my Neon Panel Liners video for a demo

What do you do to be able to afford the investment in paints like that? There has to be $250 in paint on the table alone, just for a test.

I have very few bills and the little bit of money made here on the channel I just put it back into products for testing. I purchase my paints in blocks meaning I'll buy 20 bottles at a time. Some I've had sent to me also.

I do really like your channel and you have great content and will continue watching.
However. These are paints that glow under UV light. You never even mention UV light or even that there is UV light emitted from our light sources. Different UV paints can differ widely under UV. Some do glow. Some will not. Some can be amazing and the color we see can change. WTF, why did you not include this important information? Your review of these paints is equivalent of reviewing music only listening to a tiny phone speaker. Thorough review? No.
Keep up the good work. Your channel is important to me. Thank you.

Thinning with Windshield washer fluid is NOTa tip I've seen before, I am only 7-8 months into painting miniatures, but have used dozens of "old school " tricks from other creators.
