This is an incredible tune written by a very talented composer and synthesist. I love the sounds and the arrangement. Beyond inspiring. If this doesn't't make you want this synth, nothing would.
Of course - but it's not the instrument that's making the music ... it's the artist. I would like to buy it but it will never sound like this in my "studio" :-)
Yeah, that's why i never liked moog, all i could hear checking demos were 90% vintage brass presets, but this demo is really great, even for a virus fan like me 😊
This is both enjoyable to listen to and watch. Great job!!! Also nice touch with Robert Moog's voice. I would love to see something on the history of presets or something about deciding presets (of course no trade secrets).
Nice demo of the capabilities of the synth, it would be nice if there were more details of the recording process. It is nice that you are providing the presets.
Start with a Mother! ...totally accessible & actually maddeningly versatile! You can create whole Tracks with just a Mother, without even Multitracking! If you haven't seen it, dig around on this page for the Video where they teach you how to create a Kick, a Snare & a Bassline with a single Patch! They're only $600. You can get them on sale for $500... or a decent used one for as little as $400.
Hey the guys at Moog, my name is Kobi and I usually don’t do that much but you built an instrument that is literally out of this world, the only companies that made me speechless are you guys and spectrasonics, seriously talking about the subsequent at first I was like, okay it’s probably sub phatty big bro, only duo notes, umm seriously how a mono synth would fit, I already have sub phatty, whatever, but then I was like ima buy it and take the risk, and then , and then I came to something unreal, I plugged it and was like first init preset, opened the arp, and magic guys magic it’s so sophisticated it can’t be really comparable to anything I tried, it’s built like a tank, the sonic of the sounds is just unreal, the arp and the arp, I never had idea arp is so important in music, it’s just shows material, I just press a note and it’s like imaging there are 400 people watching me because the sounds are really there Okay I talked to much but seriously keep doing what you do, it’s amazing, and can’t wait to be able to afford the matriarch, cause the one is out of my league (budget) Love you guys ! The performance here is amazing gives you a taste of the universe of exploration that is available for you when you get one !!
that tune at the end defines epic. I presently have (after having 40 years of acquisition stolen in 2012) the korg minilogue, casio xwp1, Roland d05 a stylophone and some ehh and all my guitars (2 a telephone and as80) and accoutrement. and 50yrars of trying to be a musician. is this a brag? nope it's me being ashamed of myself for not being (yet) to get that performance of his. awesome. most of my analog gear in the 70s and 80s was korg and Yamaha with some sweet sci gear mixed in. for me I wanted the tones I heard in shows like in search of and dr who and space 1999 to be very few. my main boards with gigging and recording were digital from Roland, Yamaha and Esq. even the cx5ms were handy with themselves and the dx7. so much hear and so much fun. then this fellow comes along and blows us away with one beautiful Moog. you know Bob is groovin' on the other side. back to the woodshed for me. great video.
Mine arrives tomorrow to join my Minilogue XD and my SE-02. I sold my Rev2. Lovely synth but it just didn’t inspire me for some reason. I’m going to try to produce some tracks just with the 37!
Moog, this is incredible. Thanks for this. Would you share how it was recorded? Was this a live performance on a sampler or are we hearing a post production edit? If live, what other equipment was used?
Update: SUB 37 (not Subsequent) load went really well. I think they suit the darker synth really well. Many of the patches just need a slight multidrive bump to sound similar. Only 1-2 of the 81 patches need some serious tweaking to be usable.
Question, you can maximum have 256 presets on the moog... ok So do you have to delete or can you add and remove as you please with an editor? or can you listen first then add to the synth if you like?
So what are you using for the beats? im about to buy one tomorrow but ill wait to i hear from you guys! Also would it be good for house music as i alway thought off the moog as a old timers rock and roll synth! pls get back to me asap
I’d like to buy one. However, I’m somehow stupid since my last mono synth was a Prodigy decades ago - without MIDI. Can I play *all voices* of a *poly* synth, e.g. a MODX, from the Subsequent keyboard via MIDI? I’m asking because the Subsequent has aftertouch, and I can’t live without it.
Looking foreward to tweaking those presets! I noticed Moog mentioning that the presets will work in a sub 37 as well but may behave different due to the changes in the sound engine. I own a subsequent 37 CV, does the same thing count for this synth or will they sound like they were designed to sound in the CV version?
@@DanizTV Why? Matriarch is much more flexible. Its sound is closer to Moog modular. It can be connected to Eurorack.....it is kind of Subsequent on steroids. xD Well...both synths are very similar and capable of making a lot of sounds but Matriarch IMO has a few more features.
Has anybody an idea how to delete Presets? I installed this Peter Dyer presets trough the Editor Software and everything went well but now I'd like to remove them from my subsequent (like it was delivered, factory state, so I want to init all the presets I made, except of them which the subsequent get delivered with, so the pre installed) Find no answer in the Manual, only how to reset the global menu, but the presets stay. If anybody has an idea please help! Thanks in advance.
One of the best product demos I've ever seen! Very cool

Wow. Those snare and rim click sounds. Blows me away it's from an analog synth.
Out of all the videos I've watched. I think this one just sold me on a purchase
This synth does EDM really well. Very modern sounding.
Keep coming back to this amazing performance
Wow. Now this is putting the sub37 where it belongs. It’s a modern moog.. sounding modern… opposite to vintage. Amazing
Yeah, that's why i never liked moog, all i could hear checking demos were 90% vintage brass presets, but this demo is really great, even for a virus fan like me 😊
Like watching a mini masterclass, amazing. Would be an awesome masterclass, to see in full how all of this is put together.
Blimey! That really showed off this synth! Excellent work, not just the bleeps and bloops that are so commonplace now in synth reviews.
Thanks!
Wayyy better presets than the originals ones on the sub37 thank you for releasing this!!
Has some serious The Glitch Mob vibes to it, I like it!
Big glitch mob fan

Love my Subsequent 37 but can't reproduce anything like this. Peter, that's an incredible composition.
Nice demo of the capabilities of the synth, it would be nice if there were more details of the recording process. It is nice that you are providing the presets.
This synth it's a REAL BEAST! 👍👍👍💪💪💪😉
My sub37 arrives tomorrow cant wait to be overwhelmed in the best way possible!
By far best "promo" of Subsequent 37 I've seen.
Yes! That made my brain sparkle
Love watching Peter Dyer's vids - always looks like a ton of fun and sounds great.
Thanks!
I will own Moog gear one day
Ben Pickavance One day...!

I've been saying that for years now. So far iOS apps are the closest I've gotten.
Definitely start with the semi modulars. The sound is bigger and thicker than the apps.

This video just convinced me. Amazing sound, composition and especially sound design.
A master at work
Love it! 👍 Excellent demo!
I watch this often to remind myself what this gorgeous machine can do, when I forget to use it in a production
This is a sick demo

that's telecaster I HATE spell correct
wow my finger typing sucks. my post is nearly unreadable. sorry people
Awesome. I loved Peter Dyer’s strymon demo too!
I no longer have to look for any other synth. This is incrediboe because 8ts like endless learning on here!!
Moog has figured out that if you're going to make a commercial for music gear, it should sound awesome.
damn this guy kills it!
Nice to see Channing Tatum groove on some smooth synths
I love Peter, you all should check the Strymon demo of him playing Synths through the BigSky.
This is outrageous.
amazing work! I love that intro sample. Anybody has a source / context of that?
Thanks for listening! I nabbed it off an interview of Bob's somewhere on youtube I can't recall, and then effected it.
I love the noise osc
Really cool demo. The percussion sounds were also the synthesizer as well??
What an amazing demo. Absolutely loved it!!!!
yes please make a behind the scenes / making of :)

Why on earth ,hasn´t this guy made presets for Moog ONE ??????? This is much, much, much better than the "stockpresets" on ONE!
Killer demo !
This is amazing, next purchase for sure!
Very much inspiring ..thank you "MOOG" ...
Moog, this is incredible. Thanks for this. Would you share how it was recorded? Was this a live performance on a sampler or are we hearing a post production edit? If live, what other equipment was used?
They used a DAW
Cool Vid! always love playing the sub 37!
Oh, I cannot wait to get these onto my SUB 37!
Great performer and great synth. Top!
beautiful. can't wait to try out his presets :D
Beautiful!
😺 This synth is so deliciously epically AWESOME.
Loved this.
I was never a fan of moog, but this demo actually caught my attention 😮
Would love to know how long this took to create. Very nice piece of work. Possibly a behind the scenes of the work flow.
For sure edited...mixed and mastered...
That would be awesome
@@amazeus1980 ...much compression, you can hear the side chain.
@@amazeus1980 like normally tracks will be =)
1.5 weeks. A fun challenge to wrangle a song entirely out of a mono synth!
Fantastic composition!

This guy is on fire.
So is there like somewhere I can buy this track or something?
I’m very shoked!!!
Nice 👌
Awsume sounds ..bravo

Omg, pure eargasm
Would like to hear a raw mix! ;)
Best purchase I've done buying this beast
AWESOME!!!!

Fuckin murdered it
matt damon can really play!
I accept
Nice one! What reverb was used?
So what are you using for the beats? im about to buy one tomorrow but ill wait to i hear from you guys! Also would it be good for house music as i alway thought off the moog as a old timers rock and roll synth! pls get back to me asap
From the description: " All sounds in this piece have been created using a Subsequent 37"
Dear Moog, please make VST's so us poor folks can play too.
This is what music sounds like in 2050
*could sound like since the 1970s
How do you know?
Haha wat Teun, wat doe jij hier? XD
I’d like to buy one. However, I’m somehow stupid since my last mono synth was a Prodigy decades ago - without MIDI.

Can someone identify the source for Bob Moog’s opening speech? I’d really like to hear the rest of it.
Wow.

Hey Timber - The presets will sound & behave as designed on the Subsequent 37 CV. Enjoy!
I could do with some more of this.
This very well may be a dumb question but I'm going to ask anyways. Would these presets be compatible with my Sub 37 Tribute Edition synth?
Hey Zack - The presets will work with the Sub 37, but because of the changes to the sound engine they will not sound or behave exactly as designed.
Moog Music Inc Hey that's better than no and certainly worth a shot. Cheers guys!
Agreed, I'm eager to hear what they sound like on my Sub 37.
What a combination, absolutely awesome !
Seriously the best demo ever done! Great song. Makes me want to buy that synth but I think I will go for Matriarch anyway. :)
why? :D

Welp. If this doesn’t make you want it, don’t know what could.
this sounds comes with the moog sub 37
