@Colin Niko Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and I'm in the hacking process atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
You Sir are the true master, as someone who until now thought of myself as skilled in model kits. Iv'e built a lot of different models from jets to ships, cars, trucks and in my later years Gundams but i never made anything on the level that you have. Not just on this Ferrari but on all your models much respect,I mean this is museum quality art that you create.
The thinned out black paint placed on the silver parts to bring out the three dimensional detail was a great trick. Wish I knew that when I was building models as a kid. Simply amazing work. Kudos to you.
No moje 312T2 se to konečně. Vypadá to, že budu sledovat toto video myšlenek dost. Děláte skvělou práci a vaše videa byla obrovská pomoc. Díky a držet krok s velkou práci!
Don't know where to start how awesome this is. The work put in the model is just bananas, and the result speaks for itself. The details, the weathering, everything. Even the clip itself is wel thought out. Also, Surfing Llama
Lovely job, really nice, I'd probably have left the lettering off the tyres but the rest looks amazing. A nice tip if you're masking and suffering from colour bleed is to spray a coat of whatever colour is under the masking tape first. So if you've masked off white and are spraying red then do a coat of white first to seal the edge of the tape, then if any bleeds under it'll be white on white. After that, spray on red.
NIIIIIICE Work!...but I think Mr. Lauda likes his camber at Neg 0.6Deg instead of the 0.5 you set it at... Compliments on a good video production...good lighting, detail, edits, music. Cheers!
@@rankamateurscalemodelling2585 more than that actually, Lauda was famous for acting like an engineer, "the Computer" some called him. The joke was about the fact that Lauda could have reacted like that. (Oh and RIP to this legend)
Hello, David! I, as a huge fan of F1, am very happy with the video with the assembly of car. Don't count for impudence could you collect another model from this topic. It's very cool for you and therefore I appeal to you.
Another magnificent build. I am awestruck by the detail you have added to the engine. I built the Tamiya 1/12 312T 40 years ago. I thought I did a decent job. Ha! After watching this, I’m not so sure :-)
Hey Martin, congratulations on your excellent channel. Your modelling skills are absolutely superb and your videos are really well pacedl. I would love to see you tackle a rally car build with photo etch. I'm just getting back into the hobby and whilst there's tons of tutorial stuff out there if you're into planes tanks and hot rods, there's very little for race or rally cars.
superb video, superb build, supreme talent. I have watched many of your videos and have adopted even more of your techniques into my own builds. you are responsible for making me a vastly more accurate and talented scale modeller. I thank you sincerely for sharing your gift with the world!!!
This guy is approaching modeling like a martial art! The details and precision lead to a great result, only through focus and attention. By the way, how about making the inside of the bodywork in carbonfibre finish next time?
Great job as usual. Would have liked to have seen more of the polishing and paint finishing process. Thats the thing that puts me off any auto build. Any blemishes show up from yards away. You did polish the crap out of that paintwork, didnt you ? :)
Nice job! Proves you don't need $2-300 worth of resin and white metal to make a nice model of this subject. I believe the airfoils on Lauda's car were highly polished aluminum though.
Not in any way a criticism, but I was wondering why you use scissors to cut out the decals? Wouldn’t a sharp craft knife be better? In my experience, it is very difficult to get a straight cut from scissors and a knife gives far better control. Is this just a personal preference? Beautiful modelling anyway!
hey David,i hope you are well, and this coronavirus deas not affecting you,in poland is like a far cry nearly, post apo ,its just a madness, shops are almost empty,i hope you are good, because i miss your videos :D
That's fantastic build! I love the way you did the fuel line, I have learned a lot from this video. You should tried to build some WW2 war ships from Hasegawa they can be details incredible.
Quick question. I notice that you dont seem to use primer much. Is this true or just how im reading the video? Do you not see the use for primer for smaller models? Just curious. Amazing to see these vids! Keep them coming!
+smeosky Yes, you have right. For my opinion, primer is just another pointless layer. I am using primer only after puttying and grinding. This skill I have from aircraft models.
I enjoyed you video of the 312T build. However I had a question(s) for you on how the car was finished. In the video you show the decals being applied, then the next scene jumps all the way to the finished model. I wanted to know, did you use any decal solvaset or anything like that? Did you clear coat the decals; if so what did you used? Finally I noticed the car body had a high gloss sheen...did you spray some sort of clear finish, or did you put wax on it and polish it? Thanks for any info you can provide as I will try to build a 312T (1/12 scale).
The paint job on that engine is a work of art in itself!
+Ryan super - I agree. I could just sit there and stare at that engine. Beautiful.
The guy that builds them out of paper is a true craftsman this dude is none of that

It is a die cast model. Not a plastic kit
@@GeneralLee1961.3 it's a plastic kit, not a diecast model.
You should see the Tamiya 1:12 scale model.

Probably the best f1 model i have ever seen, the best part you didn't go crazy with the clear coat.
Great work!
The car of a real legend! One of the best pilots of all time!!!

Great video and build. Especially being I am a big fan of Niki Lauda and everything he went through.
I've finally got a 312T headed my way! This is my favorite of yours. This video will be a huge help to me! Beautiful work!
Вы просто невероятная ! Мастер! Заоблачно то, как вы все это собираете

How can you even tell a decimal point of a degree for an angle? You can't. What's the point in coming out with something like that?
