    I get that Houston on paper has the most to offer Miami for Jimmy, but for the love of God, I'm tired of the NBA media linking him here. Just cut that shit out man, why does Houston have to do Jimmy a favor because we have assets?
    Trading Whitmore, Reed Sheppard, Jabari Smith, or even any of our first round picks for a 35 year old butler that won't improve our horrendous floor spacing is a move that garbage organizations make. The rockets already have a great locker room culture, and I don't think Butler will add much on top of that, and in fact he runs the risk of honestly fucking it up if he goes the egotistical route like Julius Randle if he feels he's not a focal point of the team gameplan or whatever reason.
    Like this is just annoying at this point... let Houston develop and make a move going into the off-season when JG's contract is tradable if they decide to. We will not be more of a threat to any of the Major teams in the west with Butler, so just don't bother. The only in season move that makes some sense with the Rockets timeline as of right now is a De'Aaron Fox trade, because at least Fox is 27 and is a overall better scorer at this point then JB.
    (Im not mad at you btw SRO, I'm just annoyed in general that there's some narrative that both the front office or fans of Houston want Jimmy here, because most don't)

    • @MentalStillness

      As a Houstonian I agree wholeheartedly and I rock with Jimmy but it would be a bone head move. Age and injuries are making an impact on him. The Clippers could use Jimmy but he'll have to mesh with Harden.

      Hawks have a 25.266 Mil Trade Exception (expires 7/7/25), they should definitely make a move at the Deadline or earlier -
      Clint Capela 22.265 mil +? for Butler -47+mil pretty close to Butlers 48.8mil -
      Also Brooklyn having a maxed $ slot in the summer lowers Butlers value on top of him basically being an Expiring contract.

  • @neuroscream
    @neuroscream 17 днів тому +1

    Another reason why the PHX trade cannot work based on what I understand is the fact that MIA is over the first apron, and as a result , they cannot go over 100% in salary matching , and since Beal earns roughly 5% more , the trade cannot go ahead even if he would "sign off" on it.And even if thats not an issue , another problem for MIA would be that the no trade clause would be traded with Beal to MIA , so they would be stuck with him and its not like PHX has any draft assets worth talking about that could entice MIA. BRK makes little sense imo as they are already better then they probably want to be and you can forget about drafting anyone good if you get like pick 9 or 10 as even "regular season" Jimmy gets you a few wins. As for HOU , it would probably be a one shot as Jimmy's timeline doesnt match that of the rest of the team , so while I do agree that FVV can be traded due to him being an expiring contract (and having horrid shooting splits this season) , the only thing interesting for MiA would indeed be a high draft pick.

      Calling sros a casual is an even crazier take. Who knows if Jimmy can still turn it on later in the season like he has before, we’ve seen quicker declines happen and it’s hard to gauge when Jimmy isn’t giving 100%

    bro the spurs i don’t necessarily know the logistics as far as making money match but jimmy making 48 m’s this season and he will opt into the player option next year if the spurs can pull this off they have a chance to make it to like the second round lol. Worst comes to worst jimmy comes to the team and regresses. That will still be a plus to free up 55 m’s in cap for the 2026 offseason when wemby is due for his extension on his rookie contract

    Can’t count the past few games against Jimmy, he’s checked out. Jimmy is still Jimmy. He’s just done with Pat Riley. That relationship is unrepairable. Jimmy lost his dad and what did Pat Riley do? Tell him to stfu and play basketball. Pat’s ego is second to none. Ran Bron out, LET FLASH GO, and now Jimmy. All this coming from a heat fan.

    I totally agree, I think Houston is the best fit for all parties involved ( jimmy, Miami and Houston) but if I were Houston I don’t think I’d trade fvv quite yet, unless they had to for salary reasons. I think I’d rather do like cam whitemore Steven Adams, Tate and a pick or two. Cam hasn’t been as good as he was last year and yeah it could be just a sophomore slump type of thing but I just don’t think he’s in Imes long term plans, especially after drafting reed.
    Also, I think a jimmy trade to phoenix makes since, at least on phoenixs side. Miami, yeah I wouldn’t want a 31/32 year old Brad Beal making 50 mil for 3 years, since Miami is a big market that could still attract free agents. But for phoenix, I loveee this fit. Phoenix needs defense desperately and ik jimmy isn’t what he once was defensively but he’d really help out on that front.
    W vid Matt as always, looking forward to 2025 bangers

      @@joeyollar2781 Cam Whitmore is way higher upside than Reed Sheppard I’m sorry it needs to be said… valuing Reed over Cam at this point is just absurd to me… Cam has been good since coming back from G league and he’s same age as Reed except way bigger and a freak athlete he could have Jaylen Brown type of upside.. I like Reed but he’s 6’1 and having a terrible rookie year ppl have always been way over estimating his upside that’s why I had him 8th when most ppl had him top 4

    • @joeyollar2781
      @joeyollar2781 17 днів тому

      @ yeahh, I’ve heard that. But reed also doesn’t get much playing time so I think with more time and development he can be really good. But the only reason why I’d say they’d be okay probably giving up cam is because, although he’s been a lot better, Dillon brooks has been really good for Houston and ik he’s not the long term guy but I just don’t think cam will get the playing time he needs in Houston, especially with Jabari tari and amen playing a lot

    Right now Heat don’t have that much leverage as you think! They should have traded him long time ago. I don’t know if he would go for more picks because of his age. If Suns get him idk what it would do. He’s injury prone as much as KD🫣

  • @chrissennfelder7249
    @chrissennfelder7249 17 днів тому +2

    GSW: Not worth it for them. Jimmy doesn't move the needle enough to give up on better trades down the line.
    PHX: Yeah, as you've said, the Beal contract is horrible. No way Miami is gonna take that. Remember that Beal also has a NTC.
    HOU: They have no spacing right now, it would be worse with Jimmy. They need a better secondary ball handler and/or a stretch big, not a fading SF.
    The problem is: What is Jimmy actually worth rn? 1 first and 1-2 players for salary? A bunch of bums for the same reason? And who is willing to give him the extension he wants? Only bad franchises would do that, e.g. the Pelicans, Wizards or Hornets. But they're all rebuilding, Jimmy is not a player you'd want during a rebuild.
    I guess he'll get traded to a random semi-contender who's desperate enough. Funniest timeline: Timberwolves.
