Cyndi Lauper is an amazing I have had the pleasure of seeing her sing live and did not leave disappointed love this lady...keep singing Cyndi....
I love Cyndi's air-head persona! But that should not take away from her genuine, amazing beauty! She is truly a musical genius, disguised somewhat, so we neglect to grant her the immediate recognition as a talent of the absolute first rank! Wow!
It's almost always in retrospect, when people realize how much of a vocal powerhouse Cyndi is. Her kooky persona infused with the pop music culture that made her famous, had a tendency to place the persona in front of the raw talent. After the influx of completely talentless hacks that have dominated the top charts post-2000, we can use the contrast to more fully appreciate the stunning abilities of Lauper. Her voice immediately gives us permission to feel nostalgia for a time when success was constructed by hard work and determination, resting on an objective foundation of talent.
Couldn't agree more. I had a similar revelation a few years ago when my teenage daughter brought Lady Gaga music into the house. It was only after I heard her do the tribute to Julie Andrews that I could understand she was very talented.

Tem gente que diz que Cyndi está ultrapassada por cantar Jazz e Blues, mas aí eu digo que Jazz e Blues é para quem pode, não é qualquer um que sabe cantar e tocar esses estilos. Cyndi não está ultrapassada, apenas não se vendeu como a maioria das cantoras de sua época.

Cyndi Lauper é uma artista que soube envelhecer com dignidade. Ela não entrou na fantasia de permanecer trinta anos no mesmo lugar. Seria cafona, antiquado e fora de contexto assumir esse perfil. É maravilhoso percorrer o caminho proposto por ela em toda sua trajetória. Ela é mais que música pop, apesar de cumprir lindamente esse papel. Coreografias e super produções são distrações para ouvidos pouco treinados. A entrada é autêntica e corajosa. A simplicidade exige coragem e ela tem! BRAVO CYN!

Cuando un artista es bueno , la propia musica ya es un espectaculo, sin necesidad de llevar mil bailarines ,ni pantallas de video ,ni fuegos artificiales,( como otros).
