@@dreamsofsnow6521 Aspen residents like their privacy, so they probably won't allow anything being filmed except maybe glamour shots to entice tourists. I read a lot about Aspen from Hunter S. Thompson, the gonzo journalist that Mike mentioned in the vid. According to Hunter, a bit over half of the residents are wealthy conservatives that enjoy defiling nature in the name of farms, fishing and skiing, and that hate hippies; a large chunk are lukewarm democrats, also wealthy, but the quiet type that like nature, don't like anything raucous, but have tempered reverence for people like Thompson (so, drugged-out, wigged-out hippies); and a smaller percentage of residents are the aforementioned drugged-out, wigged-out hippies that are left-leaning nature lovers who do wild things like gift each other raw animal meat and blow off fireworks without permission. (then there's the less wealthy margin, which mostly exist there to serve all the rich residents). Maybe things are different today, but from the 1970's through to the 2000's that was how Aspen was according to Thompson. A strange haven where corporatists and acid-trippers were neighbors. Lots of Hollywood people like to live there (or used to at least), not just Jack Nicholson but also quite a few others, like the screen writer Dale Launer (until he sold his Aspen mansion a few years ago). It's curious that Nancy or her daughter (or whoever) wrote that she was a friend of Thompson, given that Thompson never mentioned her in any of his writings, and he had a habit of name-dropping every body that he shared drinks with, did drugs with or generally commiserated with. I also find it hard to imagine that Thompson would be friends with somebody like that lol.

I met Nancy Pfister once several years ago when i lived near Aspen and my experience was that she deserved her terrible reputation. So often in murder cases the victim was a sweet high school girl or woman just walking home from work and it really makes you mad, but in this case, is was a spoiled rich-bltch who finally pushed the wrong people and ate some Karma in the form of a hammer. No tears shed for her as this was avoidable by simply acting like a decent person.

I remember seeing an American Greed episode on this and from the sound of it, Pfister herself had a horrible reputation around town despite her charisma and philanthropy.
It really baffles me how the people that know an individual who is known to be of poor character and/or horrible reputation can memorialize them as a saint when they’ve passed when knowing that was not who they were when they were alive.
Still sad that Nancy was killed but given the factors and circumstances that lead up to that point, her death could have been avoided.
Kind of like George Floyd. Tragic and unlawful death, but a drug addict and career criminal has been made into a saint and memorialized.

Dang she sounds horrible!!
That still doesn't make murder okay .... You know that, right?
@@alrightyru I don't think the OP was saying that the murder was justified; rather, that the victim isn't deserving of sympathy by virtue of being such an awful human being to begin with. It sounds like she kind of brought it on herself.

It’s not ok to murder someone but when you act like Nancy did, you can’t be shocked when you eventually piss off the wrong person. She didn’t deserve to die but she also doesn’t deserve a re-writing of history to make out that she didn’t create the conditions for what happened.
If you dislike someone you just leave them alone and ignore them you never have the right to kill them.
The people who are supposed to take care of my house and pay me 4000$ per month aren't doing their job, and now I have to leave my extended vacation early. Damn Nancy, you're making it difficult to feel as terrible as I should for you.

Boy, Kathy's act. "I just remem...remember... the haaaaair. On the head."
😅😅😅
🤭 such pathetic acting
“She had highlights”…
“He looks like he’s got one foot is the grave” I spit coffee everywhere 😂🤣 omg! Your humor is so perfect to lighten up these sad stories.
Mike told me he loved me! I mean, I knew it... have you seen the way he winks at me at the end of every video?!
🤣
😂😜
Nuh uh, he was talking to the guy behind you... You know, the one who makes his vids possible.
🤦😅
“They had to google, what murder meant” Ayooooo 😂🤣😂💀 That took me out.
Really? I love Mike but just be easy to make you laugh if that took you out.
@@topspot4834 tf are you talking about? I enjoy the docu series and found that funny, so what?🤨
@@freespirit6790 it was funny, was it 4 emojis and take you out kinda funny? If it was, good on you, ain't that deep a comment bruh
@@topspot4834 that’s the problem with folks these days. Y’all can’t see someone enjoying something and be happy they’re happy. But aye, be easy 👍🏾
@@freespirit6790 fair point!
"How many strands of hair would you say that you saw?" He can't be serious asking a question like that
Me: “about 13....” 🤣
Lol, I thought the same thing. Though later it occurred to me that he was probably trying to get her to dig herself in deeper by repeating that she saw hair because evidently from the way the body was wrapped up it would’ve been impossible for her to see any hair.
I couldn't help myself. I'd be "532. 37 of them were facing southwest."
@@evonneacevedo6578 , exactly.
Dumb question, but all he wanted was her to say that she saw anything at all, so he could use his little trap card of “but you couldn’t have seen ANY hair Cathy!”
I love this channel because it gets right to the point without becoming boring. And of course, Mike is quite the story teller.
This came right on time..... Let’s give it a goooooo....
If Mike ever stops saying, “Let’s give it a gooo”” I will set myself on fire.
I'm with ya!! Lol
Lol I'm with ya !
I want a T-shirt that says that!
😅 well that went from 0-100 real fast.

Mike might be dyslexic, I wouldn’t joke about it....😡
@@GardenGuy1942 hope you're joking 😬
So many true crime channels struggle with tone... you are hilarious and well-informed x
"He looks like he's got one foot in the grave" 😂😂😂
Bruh.
And the other foot on a banana peel!
I’ve watched a few different documentaries on this case, but I still watched this video because it’s Mike. And I even learned new facts about the case because Mike does such a better job than anyone else in the true crime world at compiling all the facts, using pictures and videos that are important to the case and for back story on the victim and/or killer, and he does it all while giving us some things to laugh or smile at. And I think that’s part of the reason we all love him. Keep up the amazing work Mike!
It's VERY rare... But every now and then, I can't help but think: "yeah, she had it coming". This is one of those cases.
rich people...no responsibility. weak.
Some people are not great losses. It’s sounds horrible and it doesn’t mean we think she deserved it, just everyone killed is not an angel. Lol
“We gonna give it a gooo” love it! Lol
So glad you made the fisting joke. I’d have questioned my loyalty if you hadn’t. Legend status upheld. 🙌🏻
Well delivered story Mike, your word play is GOATED
Just say tree and we're happy
Tree hunnid an turdy tree
He delivers the best twice a week, wich such effort!! So we can give it a goo
I hear yah barking big dogs...
sell me your account :D
I am a happily married woman, but when Mike said, "I love ya..." with that little wink at the end, my heart went pitter-patter like a school girl's.
Librarian lady, I'm a 73 year old great grandma, & my heart goes pitter-pat at that wink of Mike's, too!
He's a proper stud, his eyes are dangerous. A good lookin' boy like Mike being so charming could make a person catch feelings for him 😏
Are you sure you don’t have an arrhythmia?
Omg same! I couldn't have said it better myself!
I feel the same, and I don't even like men, lol
The humour and narration in this one were some of the best so far for me. Literally, LOL'd a good many times.
Is it just me or does Nancy Pfister's daughter look like a less strung out Courtney Love?
Yes!!!
Totally thought that, or Francis Bean

Oh man, that 911 call was excruciating. Her friend sounded deeply traumatized. Nancy may have been a hateful, narcissistic monster, but people like that usually surround themselves with empaths to feed their constant need for attention and validation. Her poor, mistreated friend seems to have been the real victim here. 😔
Edit: And then I got to the part where the the friend may have been involved.. Yikes. 🤦🏻♀️
she’s a great actress, I believed her 200%

Ha! I always comment before watching the entire video and have to come back and edit. She sounded ok on the call but her interview was terrible, terrible acting job.
You had me in the first half
The storytelling her is just amazing, probably my favorite vid of Mike so far
