It's incredible to think that just a wing pylon is strong and sturdy enough to hold in place a 5,800 kg GE90 engine during the rigors of 4-5 hour flight.
The pylon pin is breakaway at a certain pressure. So it would never damage the wing , the engine would come off well before that. But those pins are incredibly strong almost zero chance of coming off. Your chances of dying in a traffic collision are like 20x greater. 1 in 125 chance u will die in a car accident in your lifetime. Airliner it's 1 in 500,000
the crazy part is that these engines don't even operate at full throttle when taking off. that's the secret to their reliability and longevity. they are never under full stress load.
The GE90 and GE-90 115B Both are the most strongest and powerfull jet engines invented so far You car generally drives on 80 to 100 horse power. These engines.. In full thrust. Full power can deliver 55.000 horse power of force. So you’re on an airplane, you are in your seat. On both sides of the wings there’s an engine. So when your pilot pushed the throttles to full thurst there’s power created by these big boys of ‘’110.000’’ horse power 3:35 the force it’s just unimaginable. The rising deep bass and noise sounds like it’s already pretty much giving off some damn blast…… yet it’s only like starting your car with gears in neutral. The GE90 engine after start up is only running stationary. The power is just mindblowing
One commenter here mentioned that it’s amazing to see the strength of the engine pylons and that they manage to fasten a multi ton Jet propulsion unit. I have to agree that it’s mind boggling especially since the engine is cantilevered almost in front of the wing. What I don’t understand about structural engineering is A LOT.😂

GE knocked it out of the park with this engine design...

Sometimes i got the fear the engines just falls of the wing, or the engine falls an takes the wing with him🙈

Tell that to the passengers on AA DC-10 leaving Ohare in the mid 70's The wing pylon was bent by a forklift, replacing the motor.
Not only the weight, its even more crazy that those pylons have to withstand being pulled by a powerful 115,000 lbf of thrust

The GE90 is the best sound in all of aviation!
damn those engines are loud and powerful! Doesnt get much better than the GE90
One of the S-tier engines for sure
Imagine the ge9x
in terms of sound? try to listen to RR trent-xwb in takeoff it will give you a smile on your face 😉
@@qwertyasdfg7782 Trent = tin box. Sounds terrible
Great shot.. only engine noise, no talking or narrating. Best seat in the house (or plane). Keep up the great work!!
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it!
except the talking is the flight attendant but that's fine
The grumble of the GE90 startup is so unique ☺️
I LOVE the engine start - wait this whole thing is good... I love the lookback to NYC downtown
So glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!
Out with the 747-400 now the 777 is my new favorite aircraft
Beautiful deep blue water.
The spool up is already very nice and powerful

I like that spool up
The coastline off of Far Rockaway is so beautiful.
The nacelle is so shiny you see the fuselage reflected in it. If you look at the rear of the nacelle, at 7:50 you can see the gear retract.
Beast of an engine!
Good sound and motion picture quality.
I'm in love with your videos. That's really good to see you show only the most important parts we all love to watch. Hello from Brazil.
Thanks man! Appreciate the support
Awesome! Loved it.
Glad you enjoyed it!
A maior invenção do homem. Obrigado Alberto Santos Dumont. Thank Wright Brothers.
Those engine sure are powerful 😳 it took only 37 seconds for takeoff 🛫
Short takeoff is below 30 seconds this normal
If you listen to this with increase bass, the initial start up sounds scary good
One of the largest, most powerful turbofan engines on the planet. The 777 demands big power and GE struck gold with this power plant.
GE90-115B, single engine putting out more thrust than all four engines on a Boeing 707.
Nice 👍🏻 :))
Usin this for sound on my 777 microsoft flight simulator 2020!!
Go for it!
Great video and sound.... amazing ...all..of... flight ✈️.....crew.....

If you went to Miami, how come you took a left turn inside of right
Had a weird vectoring out of New York that day - made like a 120 degree turn to the left, then like another 120 degree then to the right

Interestingly, God's number is the "777," and this Boeing type is the safest in the skies!!! Not a coincidence, now is it?
2 of Malaysian got lost. 1 x Asiana in San Francisco, 2 x 777 British Airways in London and Las Vegas, 1 x Emirates in Dubai, 1 Egypt Air in Cairo.
