Blood Brothers will always be my favourite musical. I first saw it back in 1987 in Liverpool with Rebecca Storm playing Mrs Johnstone. Out of the 6 of us in our group I don’t think there was a dry eye between us by the end.

I'm not saying who or where. But was about to book tickets to see blood brothers for me and dad(he's never seen it, and I know he'd love it) but the woman singing is just not up to scratch ( in my opinion) so I'm hoping to see it soon with someone who can give it the feeling of Barbara! Hope that doesn't sound bitchy

After seeing this and the Mel C version I really can see why Dame Deborah James had this at her funeral today.

It has to be Barbara Dickson singing this. Her voice has changed though.
Everyone’s voice changes a bit as they get older. Her voice is still lovely and as expressive as ever. No auto tune here.
Hauntingly beautiful song but Stephanie Lawrence still did it better IMHO.
