Am i the only one that isn’t a fan of a carbon hood? Sometimes it looks cool (992 GT3RS and 991.2 GT2, half painted), but otherwise, it looks cheap imo.
Like they want to show it off. Carbon roof is another story
I actually think the G80 is a fucking ugly duckling still. But I’m an F30 340i owner, I prefer classic BMW styling.
The snout is still bad. The M4 profile looks like a bad Mustang impersonator.
Lastly, the largest sin, is the bullshit way they did the rear wheel arches. The flare runs into the (flat) rear door at a weird angle making it look unacceptable imo. Look at it in the gas station it looks like someone damaged the rear quarter.
That said… the S58 is a god motor. Luckily the *slightly* less ugly M2 exists 😂
It's sad that cars like the Mustang and M3 with their traditional engines are becoming a thing of the past and we will be forced to watch electric toaster races in the future. Awesome race ✊ thanks AG

@@davidwade7681 Not quite, if the governor was removed from the demon it would’ve lost indefinitely, yes the demon got to 150 first (cuz it’s limited) but before the demon reached 150 the M3 was pulling him. It was a good race tho

Nice matchup. The GT500 and G80's are two of the best bang for bucks on the market. Very easy for both to make more power and be deep in the 9's and faster. Also the classic supercharger vs twin turbo race

The anti-lag is the real difference in the race. Once the Beemer gets the lead the GT500 sticks with it. Solid races and sick cars.
I dont know If you understand but the Ford has a Supercharger belt Drive , there is No lag, If a Car have Drag its the BMW turbo
@@berndblabla4249 look at the car in my pic, bro. What do you think powers it? I am well aware of what a supercharger is (whether positive displacement or centrifugal). Rolling anit-lag puts the turbo car in boost, just like brake-boosting (works better and saves the brakes).

As a BMW owner, the Mustangs have one of the best sounding exhausts.
Seemed to be equal but the BMW just hasad crazy acceleration getting ahead of the Shelby but the Shelby keeps the length close the entire time. Both are great 😃

@mikerivera7869 I agree and I have a similarly modded '22. Difference being I have a dyno tune, 2" primary headers and stock upper and lower. Car makes low 800s. Would be around 850 with a 2.75 upper. Problem is they heat soak pretty quick with stock intercooler brick in warm weather once you start spinning the blower harder.
A Bolt on e85 gt500 100% makes over 800
@@BabaYagaRacing yeah but the guy is right. 850whp gt500 will walk a 740whp s58 x drive. Or should be, someone is a bit off here probably the gt500 since it’s not even dynoed. Also we don’t know the pulley could be a 3.25 which would put it under 800.

I had a 2015 Gt premium with close to 500 HP by the time I sold it in 2022. It was pretty freaking fast. In March I got a 24 M3 Competition. It's terrifyingly fast compared to my old GT.

S58 is amazing but seems like something is wrong with thr gt500. Based 170 races they've been neck in neck.

The driver is the M3 knows how to line up there wasn't any speeding up or slowing down one of the fastest line ups ever.
M3 jumped both runs. How hard is it to follow instructions?
Shouldn't jump, but woulda won either way
He can only hold onto anti lag for so long. And no hate to AG at all, but with a countdown that quick, no one has time to hit the fizz button AFTER he starts counting, so there's this weird gap where he has to anticipate before the countdown, so he can "stage" a half second before AG starts counting to get the turbos to full spool in time for the "1!". Half a second too early, and he has to get off anti lag because it might f something up if held down for too long. Half a second late, and he has to let go at half spool and do all that work to try and reel him back in.
It's a thin line he's walking, and he needs to learn how to use it better, or be called a jumper because he can't get the timing down.
I didn't know he used anti lag. Most bmws I know use brake boost. If I would have know b4 the race I could have timed it better

Most of UA-cam street racing is boosted 10r80 mustangs destroying everything. G80s, supras, gtrs, and hellcats can are all awesome and can take the W depending on the mods, but dollar per dollar it's tough to beat the mustangs.

@DodgeandGMkiIIingFurdDaiIy C6 corvettes are still pretty expensive 30-40k range with decent milage. You can get a gen 2 mustang and boost it for cheaper. C5 corvettes are 20 years old lol you're going to need upgraded internals past 500/600 hp. Very light cars I'll give you that.

I feel like the Gt500 taking off in 3rd gear from a 55-60 roll 🤦🏻♂️ . Sounds like he's only taching 3500 rpms when they take off. Not even in the power.. 2nd gear would make a world of difference.

Man you have to hand it to a S58 engine. FBO stock turbo and its running that good. Same weight almost the same aero, same mods and fuel.
Now you you need top drop the pulley on the Shelby also do LTH and a Jokers ported TB. Then just add a hybrid turbo to the M3 and run these guys again. Great equally matched race. Almost everything is the same on these cars. Very equal comparison.

Even if the GT500 was faster, for the same prices, the BMW is just such a better bang for buck. The GT500 interior where you spend 99% of your time looking and dealing with when you're not racing is just terrible value for the price compared to the M3
