I found your channel because of this car.....owner and car was at T/A Nats 2024 and we talked to him. He told us of your channel. This car was gorgeous, you did a superb job in the restore.
Congratulations Jon! Beautiful color combination! Best of all you were a blessing to someone. Thank you for what you do. Looking forward to, Mockingbird videos. Love the names you give to these cars.
Well the names just pop in my head fortunately. My dad’s car is next up. 1968 Firebird flambeau burgundy. Its name is the FLamborghini so far and kinda like it
The owner is very lucky to have you restore his bird. Your attention to detail and doing it right without cutting corners, is what they got. Which should give them piece of mind driving that beautiful car. Give yourself a pat on the back, you did a great job. 👍
Wow! Thanks! I really like to apply all what I have learned over the years and attention to details most skip to make something that even though it’s a stock style recreation it will stand out anywhere. Your car is following the same path. I feel yours can be that way as well. Keep in mind even I still learn something every time I rebuild one of these old birds so don’t stress if you don’t have the answers that’s why we are all sharing what we are ding to help all of us.
Hey john I've got a question for you! I watched one ot your videos about when you open the door it shouldn't go under the fender! Can't find the video! I'm almost ready to spray my bird! My driver side door need an adjustment not sure how to stop it from going under the fender! Thanks in advance! Keep up the good work!
This is the video. I found out I had the wrong hinges. But it can be shimmed like i did in the video. Door gap clearance issue SOLVED! I am disappointed in the why. ua-cam.com/video/GR98BkP7CU0/v-deo.html
Ty, I've had my car since 96 never had an issue now I've put repo fenders on same door same hinge. didn't want to take door off again but here we go! Thanks again! Brent from Las Vegas!
Still doing the equipment repair, then playing cars after. I just don’t think I want to do cars full time in fear of it becomes a job and not liking it anymore
Sweet.....you copied my spoiler...I took the Pontiac letters off the deck lid of my 68 Bird in 1972 and put them on the spoiler plus the 400 emblem....ha ha!

It was a great reunion. We restored it back to what he had in 1975. for him it was a nice feeling to see his old friend back to life.

Thank you! My dads 68 is next in line so hopefully I can pull it off just as nice
You my friend are unbelievable that car is a show stopper
It will definitely hold its own the best part is it was all done at home, all of it.
Daahhhmmn, That 'Bird is just Fire 🔥
That color pops in the sunlight.
How satisfying! You did such an amazing job on the Great Pumpkin!
Thank you so much!
Love it !! 🎉
So glad!
Awesome work!!
Thank you! I ordered some needs assembled panels for the mocking bird, thanks for the video on that.
I can barely fit in my 68 and I’m only 6”, looking at him get in and how low he sat makes me realize just how short everyone was in the 60’s! lol
Some how at 6’2” I fit but not as comfortable as my daily driver it seems the average height must have been less back then.
Nice, sounds great 👍👍👍👍
It does! Not bad for a relatively stock restoration
Love it!
Me too!
Nice 👍
Looking forward to seeing this car at the shows still. Kinda miss having it in the garage
I miss my “67” 136 Chevelle
Well no time better then the present moment to find another one.

It is cool to see your work! Do you work full time for yourself now or do you still work on equipment?
Still doing the equipment repair, then playing cars after. I just don’t think I want to do cars full time in fear of it becomes a job and not liking it anymore
