    I love these subtle rockers - I've used Endless and NN frames as well as a slight rocker on K2 R100s with my UFS skate - it gives you a ton of maneuverability for city skating but not so much that you lose precision when skating. For anyone on the fence about trying these kinds of frames, I really recommend it!

      Can I ask, do the front wheels wear down faster when you drag your front 2 wheels to check speed in turns? Is it that much different than having those front wheels just wear down naturally on a flat set up?

      @@HeadNtheClouds the best way to describe a slight rocker is they feel like broken in wheels, even with brand new wheels

    Re: rattles - I had an extremely annoying rattle on my HC Pro Evos. I checked my spacers, I tightened my axles, I tightened the frames, but I ultimately found out it was the ratcheting-style buckles! I replaced those on the cuff with the basic catch/release buckle type, and the arch buckles with velcro straps. This eliminated the rattle entirely.

    Great setup. This is very similar to my FR SL and Endless 90. Micro Delta F was one of the skates I’d considered when I got my SL. Hydrogens are my wheel of choice these days as well. I love my Endless 90s for my 265mm size EU 40 feet, but I’ve always wanted to try the 84s. I think the subtle rocker on the Endless is just perfect for city skating. Looking forward to the conclusion of your new skate search.

    I got a 90x4 Endless + FR1 and I consider it a perfect all-around city setup. And if you want to do a long ride fitness, you change it to 110x3. In that case it's not nimble at all, but super stable and fast.

    Powerslide Hardcore Evo Pro has been my favorite urban/slalom skate since its release in 2018. I have found that I enjoy it the most when I cut away the useless toe strap and remove the top buckle. I leave the 45˚ middle buckle to keep my heel locked in place. And then I use long laces to wrap tight around my ankles -- sort of a replacement for the removed top buckle. The fit is perfect, I never miss the top buckle, and now I can very quickly tighten my laces, because the top buckle is out of the way. In this way, it is almost a laces only hockey skate. You should try the very popular Powerslide Hardcore Evo Pro with this particular setup, Bill, wasn’t it you that once said that you hate buckles?

    Also, very interesting hearing you are working on your ligaments and tendons! I have an intense patella alta on my left knee and keeping my legs strong help me prevent new dislocations. Last time it dislocated, I was practicing the T stop on my left side, it was not fun at all, and now I stop using only my right side to be secure. I can go down very steep hills with no problems! But swapping the wheels more frequently is a must. MY QUESTION TO YOU FINALLY: do you think these frames help with that? Do they take some of the weight from the knee area?

      I would go with what they recommend as it will offer a bit more stability allowing you to lean forward/back more than with shorter frames. Plus, with the rocker they will be SO nimble compared to a flat frame - it's a world of difference!

    • @TB-tv2zf
      @TB-tv2zf Рік тому

      Exactly, you really can't compare it to a flat 90mm setup. Going with their recommendation would be a safe bet. Especially considering size 43 is close to 44 (at which point they recommend the even larger ES frame).

    • @COREYTOWNS
      @COREYTOWNS Рік тому

      I see your comment was like 4 months ago but in case you'd still like some feedback from a fellow big foot skater: I wear a size 46EU and I either roll with the endless 80 or the endless 100, depending on the day. The stability on the 100 is great but the super long frame makes you feel much less agile when skating around obstacles. However, if you're skating really fast, clear areas the 100s feel very good and stable at very high speeds. The Endless 80 frames feel much better when going on a more aggressive BSS type city skate. They are techincally less stable, but I actually feel more confident in them than I do the 100s because of the greatly increased maneuverability. Hope that helps

    That setup is difficult to improve, 84mm flat works better for me. Had a few speed wobbles while bombing hills with 80mm flat and 90mm flat does work great most of the time whit occasional moments where agility feels limited. Stair rides are less fluid with bigger wheels and I'm used to anti-rocker and make more stability mistakes with rocketed frames. Those boots might be my next investment for skating with extra 4x110 setup for marathon training or I get help because I'm thinking of my 13th pair of skates.
