For a stand throw warm up in comp throw a decent distance whilst maintaining positions. Makes you feel the position but also brings confidence for the full throws in comp!

It can’t hurt to stand far but at the end of the day it’s a drill so make it useful by being in good positions

Trying to learn the spin from the glide and I feel like with the higher up shotput placement I am unable to get any sort of pec activation in the throw which is really limiting how far I can throw.
Try pushing from below the chin. Several spinners have thrown far with a lower shot placement like Christian Cantwell and even Ryan Crouser. Hope that helps 👍

I can do standing throw 9.5m with a 10kg shot, but I just do standing throw 10m with a 7.26kg shot. just could not figure it out why.

I am a school teacher in a small high school in Fiji with a school roll of not more than 400 students and have been following your channel for the past few weeks to help guide our Shot Put Throwers for the Fiji High School Athletics competition in August. We really have no expertise in Shot Put and don't know where to start. We don't really have a budget for our athletes so we can not afford any throws coach. However, just wondering if you have anyone in Fiji who can assist us or anyone in our Time Zone who can do live virtual coaching.
