Original bad boys of rock and roll and coolest dudes on the block... going on 62 years of making music and touring making them the longest running rock band ever.
Did you guess who he’s talking about? Mick sings in first person narrative as the Devil, who boasts of his role in each of several historical atrocities and repeatedly asks the listener to "guess my name." Great song.
Hi Ola. Can I suggest you review Gimme Shelter from the Rolling Stones. Probably one of the greatest Rock songs ever. Released in 1969. I can guarantee you will love it!
The Rolling Stones were contemporaries of The Beatles -- in fact, they were pals with the Beatles -- and they just kept going and going, putting out one great album after another. It took them a while to convert from a Roots/cover band (they did a lot of covers in their early days) to get to the point where they were writing and performing mostly their own music. But at that point, by the mid-to-late 1960's, they became a musical force to be reckoned with! You should check out their hits, such as "Satisfaction", "Brown Sugar", "Jumpin' Jack Flash", "Gimmie Shelter", "Paint it Black", "Under My Thumb" and so many more! Ola, let me tell you this, however: You should really listen to the original recordings, from the studio albums, and then do the live versions. The reason why is because those original recordings are SO CLASSIC and you really need to start your Stones journey out with those definitive versions! OK? All good to listen/watch live after you have absorbed these most classic and excellent studio recordings. The Rolling Stones are a cultural treasure, just as the Beatles (as well as many other bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, etc) are!
Hi Ola a very popular song is Give shelter and can't you hear me knocking. They been around fort many years.they all in there late 70ies still play live. Like your hairstyle today ❤😊.
The first ever rock song I heard as a kid back in the 70,s was I Can't Get No Satisfaction from the Roling Stones on an old fashioned mono cassette recorder....happy days 😅
Not a player at all but I have to say, you are one of the most beautiful young women I have seen. Plus your reviews are 100% genuine. Good luck young lady and may your life be fruitful
This is a song that must be heard as originally envisioned when recorded in 1968. These live tour versions are fun and all but lose the significance of what was meant by the song in 1968.
As another said, love your new look…Great first song for the Stones, except the Stones aren’t one of the best live performance bands. Do yourself a favor and listen to the studio version.
True, but only because Bonham died and Led Zepplin didn’t replace him, oh and Cream broke up after 3 years…lol, otherwise longevity wise, Stones are definitely the best.
"Sympathy for the Devil" is a song by English rock band the Rolling Stones. The song was written by Mick Jagger and credited to the Jagger-Richards partnership. It is the opening track on the band's 1968 album Beggars Banquet. Wikipedia
This tune has been used in many movies and tv shows. You are bound to have heard it somewhere, coincidentally I just rewatched the Sleepy Hollow TV series, and this song is constantly played throughout the 4 seasons.
What you thought was familiar with this song might be a song called "keep the face" by Bon Jovi. He often sings this song and keep the face as a medley at concerts. It can also be seen that many groups later produced songs in a similar way to the original songs of the Stones.
The Rolling Stones are a very deep dive, they have dozens of great songs to react to! When you can, listen to the studio original official lyric video, it is amazing. For another live one, try Give Me Shelter but always listen to the studio original when you can, they always are the best version, for the audio mix. Their are many live versions of that song, try one from the early 70s for their prime. The Stones Rock! Enjoy. 🎵🎸🎤🎸🎹🎷🎶
The freaking Rolling Stones, Rocking Planet Earth since 1962! Still touring in 2024 how insane is that? And they still can play and write good, new music. There will never be another Rolling Stones!
Studio version is superior
You can browse through the Stones' catalog for days. They are fantastic live!
Still, I would listen to the studio version first. Good reaction.
They've been around since 1962. Amazing.

Great Reaction as always, glad you liked it and your hair looks fab.
This was covered by Guns n Roses for the movie Interview With The Vampire. Pretty good cover too, although nothing beats the original.
Motorhead also did one
Hi Ola, great.reaction. My favorite song by the Stones is "Jumpin Jack Flash".
Did you style your hair a bit differently? It looks very nice

OLA NEXT SONG HARLEM SHUFFLE 👍😎
Playing this ' 67 ?
Dance Like Jagger ?
And that's how a 70 year old man (at the time) shows up Beyonce at her own game. Legend.
Edit: Next up, listen to Can't You Hear Me Knockin'? The album version, so there's no video to distracted you. it's pure gold.
Try Gimme me Shelter live with Mary Clayton. She was the lady in the back up singer here.
NO SHE IS NOT THE BACKUP SINGER HERE. She NEVER appeared with them live. It was the better singer Lisa Fischer live.
I saw the Voodoo Lounge Tour back in the day (they played this song and Mick rose up from under the stage), a great live band!
never been a Stones fan...still not.
