Fact is, Maher hated Trump _before_ he ran for office. I’ve done what I thought was best for my health (never worn a mask, no social distancing, never quarantined, never took the “vaccine”, etc.), and I’ve never had a single symptom.

I think most liberals are not on board with the woke agenda as the progressive wing has always been a small minority of the left. However, I do think many of them remain quiet or have acquiesced to the louder activist voices, creating the illusion that the left is unified. A few of us are still liberals but are anti-woke liberals. Some of us are indeed seeking coalition with the right because we do recognize that fundamental freedoms are nonnegotiable, and we need to align with the side that will fight for these freedoms. That's where I'm at.
The Right's coming back, not as strong as could be, too many seasoned politicians. At least it's not bewildering, as before. BLM has been exposed, for example. That felt real good.
