Thank you! After viewing dozens of TIG welding videos, I still was unable to use my new TIG welder. After looking at your "mistakes" demonstration I was able to easily run a good bead. Thanks!!!!
Justin, I'm so glad I came across your channel. Your video's really helps beginners like me get going fast, especially this one. I followed your setting and was able to lay down my first alley welds, so thank you dude. Looking back, at your older video's to now, shows where you started in your garage at home to now in a cool shop teaching beginners like me. Great job Justin, and many thanks for your time and detail in explaining your content so well. Cheers from Australia! Craig
Your killing it man! I started out about a year ago never tig welded in my life. Learned everything from your videos and practicing. Bought an ahp 201 also from your reviews. Feel confident in my welding and will keep practicing. Hoping to have the skills to weld a cage in my car next winter. Thanks brother! 👍
Keep an eye on your gas solenoid. They can get powdered in factory and show up faulty. Same for the hi freq. Start although much more uncommon for the 201
BTW 10's of thousands of people probably bought that 225X based on your review/video including myself. well it's a damn good machine for the price, THANK YOU! Now I'm waiting for a plasma review ... Chop chop, LOL. I appreciate you man. Also I'm a CPE/EE and I'm thinking about doing a tear down video of the internals just for peoples reference but a little worried no one will watch it.
Man they start building my barn this week. February my barn burnt down. My new everlast burnt up. Wish I had my new one ready so I can participate. I’ll watch tho lol
I wish i have a tig welder. I wil someday. This did get me good info in what to look for in a machine. Living overseas does not going to be same as machines and material you have in the u.s. but never the less....thanks for the good and free advice.
Looking forward to the series. I love the videos and learn a lot from you. But my question is will we ever get to see any of the projects that where started finished? Last update on the truck project was a year ago, And same for the mystery build. I'd love to see the end results.
Long time viewer, recent first time TIG welder wanna-be. Apparently, I like to dip the tungsten into the puddle, While that is no bueno for successful welding, I am getting pretty good at sharpening / shortenung tungsten. I blame you for making it look easy. ;)
30+ years ago. Still have the (aluminum) dust pan I welded. My welds stunk then…. I’m more or less new to doing aluminum. Put that specified Tungsten on the “to be purchased” list…
Justin, your thoughts which is a better tig for a newbe prime weld tig 225 ac/dc or the alpha 203XI or Alpha 225XI,since you have them all..Thanks for the time you put into your videos
Hey on the prime weld when i adjust my balance and hz should the numbers be moving where the amp read out is? I Wasn't sure if the read out moves with hz and balance or only if the digital read out only reads amps.
Love your channel and plan on watching your upcoming #weldwithmelive What are your thoughts on learning to tig without a pedal? Thinking of buying a Transsteel 2200, but it doesn't allow a pedal. Would this develop bad habits or limit my progression in the future if I upgrade to a better machine that does have a pedal?
Picked up the 225 after seeing your reviews! Do you have to have start amperage up high when you use a pedal with the Tig 225, and do you find the DINS connection has a bit of wiggle at the machine?
I need your help. I can get special financing on a Precision Tig 225 from Lincoln. I work in my shop for free. Is it a good machine is it worth it. I'm currently using a MIG from Lincoln but you really can't adjust it too much and it splatters like crazy. Appreciate your input thank you
Hello I've been mig welding for years and just got my first Tig. It's a Lincoln square wave Tig 175, it doesn't have all the fancy settings like the new welders and I was wondering if I'll still be able to follow along with the class in a couple weeks? Thanks
Justin. I have an old P&H HeliArc welding machine. Yes it is big and heavy, has water cooling capability and high frequency start and I can use it for stick welding. Since it only operates at 60Hz, what would you recommend for an electrode to weld aluminum? I have both 2% lanthanated and a few thoriated. Should I be using pure tungsten? Thanks.
When I bought my Primeweld, I got one of the last with the garbage pedal... Is there a decent pedal you can recommend? I've tried with the pedal I have, and I'm not able to make the adjustments with my level of skill. Also, IF you contaminate a Tungsten have a bunch ready? Definitely a WHEN with me. Hoping I can catch this and be able to have my welder set up, it shares power with the clothes drier so some things prevail in scheduling conflict.
Love my Primeweld 225, but find out that AC Frequency on 60-80 Hz work best for me on 1/8 " aluminum . On higher frequency the weld look porous. But maybe I do something wrong .....LOL
Quick question what hand do you hold the tig handle in I’m asking because I’m not sure if I should have the handle in my writing hand or the filler rod
I have a very serious question about the prime weld machine. Keep in mind this is coming from a poor man. I want very much to get me a machinery even though it has been 15 years probably since the last time I did any kind of welding. When I did weld I always enjoyed it a lot. It wasn't like work or chores it was more like a hobby. So I wanted your personal opinion on the best machine for under 1000 dollars. Machine and warranty is the prime weld it or maybe AHP. If you had to pick one from these two which way would you lean. Also enjoy the videos a lot and find them to be very educational for anyone and everyone.
I’ve had the AHP for 5 years and it’s been perfectly acceptable for me. The prime weld didn’t exist when I bought mine, if I rebought today I’d go with the prime weld for extra settings and better foot pedal. Just my 2 cents
welder is the cheap part, Bottle helmet consumables and GOOD fitting gloves for your first two fingers so you can advance the filler rod , and the finger heatshield my friend said will cost ya the same as the welder.
Luv yer stuff, but you talk too rapidly for me to catch all you are saying. Slow down a bit when you are telling us what to use and how to use it. Thanx

Are you still pleased with your primeweld 225? Any gripes so far? Seems you’ve put a lot of hours on it since you’ve had it. Thanks!

Holy shit I’m so excited for this. You’re the reason I bought this machine and I was struggling hard a few weekends ago when finally trying aluminum.
All this stuff is so intriguing, I’ve been doing electrical for years but never welded before, well I lie only when I short out a circuit.
I have everything you have ..including the same machine and a brand new Argon80.........I'll be ready....LET'S GO 💥
Greatly appreciate all of the effort in making your videos .
Thank you for spending your time with us. Its priceless
Cannot wait!!! Thanks Justin 😁👊

This machine ships overseas. I got one, and my friend for one.
Excellent video, glad I found this channel. Just purchase a tog welder, thanks for taking the time to share. Cheers

Just need to place an order for the starter kit. That will be done sometime this week.
0 experience Tig welding, using Priméwrlf Tig 225, thank you for the information and keep the Tungsten burning.
YES!!!! This video was exactly what I needed! I have the PrimeWeld 225. Great information. My welds are much better! Thank you!!!
Just purchased the coupon starter kit and am looking forward to following along.
This rad, thanks man. Quite a blessing for the viewers
Love this one. Matter of fact all of your videos are awesomely informative. God bless you.
I need to get argon... I'm going to try and follow along.
I enjoy watching your TIG welding videos. Do you receive any sort of compensation from Primeweld?
Love your content. From Houston TX

Well done man, I cant wait to start this too
All set and ready to go
AWESOME JUST AWESOME , BECAUSE I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT WELDING THANKS SO MUCH DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is pretty awesome, funny thing is i just bought the same primeweld welder!
This is a great idea, very interactive 👍
Do y'all still do the live welding classes? I know you have other welding channels, do you do them there?
so exciting...... can't wait 👍👍😎👍👍
I also do my own settings. I use a switch tho. I move around doing the work I do.
30+ years ago. Still have the (aluminum) dust pan I welded. My welds stunk then…. I’m more or less new to doing aluminum.
Put that specified Tungsten on the “to be purchased” list…
Will the live class be posted afterwards for reference, or for people that aren't able to participate at the specific time the class is running?
I can't join the day of, but would love to be able to run through the relay the following week
Justin, your thoughts which is a better tig for a newbe prime weld tig 225 ac/dc or the alpha 203XI or Alpha 225XI,since you have them all..Thanks for the time you put into your videos
Fantastic information
How do you cut your tungstens down, I've tried and crushed it, I'd appreciate it the advice, thanks Mike
This is awesome what your doing brother.
New to TIG welding aluminum. Also, this guy looks/reminds me of Neegan. Js
How good is the weldpro sitting on the shelve back there..? Is it worth for same price as the primeweld 225..?
Hey on the prime weld when i adjust my balance and hz should the numbers be moving where the amp read out is? I Wasn't sure if the read out moves with hz and balance or only if the digital read out only reads amps.

Please review that Weldpro Tig200GD in the background (yellow one).
Thank you Thank you very much Excellent helped me a lot
start of class will come in the form of on here or an email or class registration? for a heads up?
Picked up the 225 after seeing your reviews! Do you have to have start amperage up high when you use a pedal with the Tig 225, and do you find the DINS connection has a bit of wiggle at the machine?
You should review the yeswelder tig 250p ac/dc machine and find good settings for that machine theres not much info out there
Thank you for this!!
Excellent work love it
Can't wait

Maybe we should come and teach you how,and when to use tig.🍻😂

Yes .. Justin mentioned we won't be using all of the dials...just AC frequency and balance.....💥

Quick question what hand do you hold the tig handle in I’m asking because I’m not sure if I should have the handle in my writing hand or the filler rod
Typically you hold the torch with your writing hand but if you try with the other and it feels comfortable, go for it. 🤘
Hell yeah 🤘🏻
Hopefully TOT is attending😂
a great idea !

Actually my kemppi master tig, earth clamp stays in negative all the time even for AC
Where did Justin and TFS go? Are you ok?
I just received my tracking number today. My Primeweld Tig225X is on it's way. I can't wait to participate. This kicks much ^^^, I'm stoked!

What size torch please
Ooh. Ooh. I see a weld pro in the back. Take it out for a spin. *edited
@@ButBigger42 thanks. Didn’t realize that. Fixed my comment.
100% Argon!
Ac welding? Am I learning HVAC? HEYYYYOOOOO
How are you cutting your tungsten rod into 3 pieces?
cutting wheel;p or notch and break in half like kitkat;p
Its all about the settings guys😂😂
What gas should I use? one hundred percent CO2?
NO. 100% ARGON!
@@kenneth6731 100% hydrogen, then, ok!
Here's your sign.
I feel like maybe Justin was getting very sick of answering the same questions over and over and over lol
The discount is not working
There's currently a sale going on (bigger discount). Codes will work once 5ge sale is over tomorrow.
Why so small a cup?
As you only really have to shield the tungsten, not the weld pool like when welding mild or stainless steel.
@@aaronyoung8028 I see, that makes sense. In my shop we just use an 8 cup to make it easy since we weld all three.

Hey Justin will you ever test the HTP REVOLUTION 2500 OR THE INVERTIG 221

UA-cam live... we can go back and forth... it's a live training session
