Started listening to Cat Stevens in Middle School . His beautiful music brings back so many memories from the early 70’s. What a truly gifted artist he was & is . A poet ! Love u Yusuf Cat Stevens ! ❤️🌹
Your video is how I've always pictured the "Lisa's' of the world, whom Cat sings about. Beautiful, yet locked into a world of hurt..expressive eyes that cry out for help. I first heard this song in the Winter of 1971. It will always be a cold, yet hopeful and beautiful day in my heart whenever I hear this song. Thank you for sharing your soul with the world.
que de souvenirs. J'ai acheté le 33 tours le jour où j'ai rencontré mon mari, le 9 octobre 1971. Et nous sommes toujours ensembles et aussi amoureux qu'au premier jour. J'avais 16 ans et lui 18 ans.
While on vacation last week in the upper peninsula of Michigan, our B & B hostess played "Morning Has Broken" as a wake-up call. Immediately thought of this song and hearing it at Atlanta's old City Auditorium in the early 1970's. A truly great song and one of my all-time favorites.
It's a wonderful song by an amazing singer and songwriter. You may also enjoy some of his other songs on our channel - ua-cam.com/video/1lhwjwhe9DY/v-deo.html
She hangs her head and cries on my chest, She's deeply hurt, it's plain to see. Tell me what's making you so distressed, Open your heart, don't retreat into shadow. You're veiled in gloom, but with me, you're free, 'Cause in my arms, you find your reprieve. Mira, Mira, sad Mira, Mira. Her gaze like windows, bearing the rain, Upon the scars that only deepen. Though my love seeks to ease her strain, She roams alone, from wall to echoing wall. Trapped in her maze, my voice unseen, Yet I feel her yearning for my call. Mira, Mira, sad Mira, Mira. She nestles in a nook by the door, There's more to say, more to explore. If she truly wishes for my aid, I'll guide her through, to brighter days. And perhaps one day, I'll help her soar, Though unseen by others, in my sight, she's adored. Mira, Mira, sad Mira, Mira.
In my room, the door still whispers, Scarlet letters, names, and twisters. Mira, love, in hues of red, Echoes of "Sad Lisa," words unsaid. Mira, with your shadow long, Dancing to our silent song. In the heart where you belong, Mira, where the lights are strong. I was a fool, a silent dreamer, Thoughts unspoken, a true believer. Letting go, you flew so far, Mira, my eternal star. Mira, with your shadow long, Dancing to our "Sad Lisa" song. In the heart where you belong, Mira, where the lights are strong. Since '92, the world's spun on, To Cyprus shores, where you have gone. But in my heart, you'll never fade, Mira, in the dreams "Sad Lisa" made. Through the years, in silent whispers, I see you in the twilight's glimmers. Red letters fade, but not your light, Mira, in my heart so bright. Mira, with your shadow long, Dancing to our "Sad Lisa" song. In the heart where you belong, Mira, where the lights are strong. In the silence, in the night, Mira, you're my endless light. Though the world has set us free, In my heart, "Sad Lisa" you'll always be.@@MusicToPlease
It's wonderful that music can transport us back to a time when we first heard the song or an important occasion. Cat Stevens music is timeless and still enjoyed today by many. Which Cat Stevens song was it at your wedding?
Love this song...but Cat Stevens is dead to me since he became a Muslim and tried to justify the death sentence on Salman Rushdie. Islam...the religion of pieces.
Great song, but I doubt Lisa is as beautiful as the women shown. Why not show less attractive women. They are more likely to suffer with feeling isolated and actually being unseen, 'I know nobody can see her'. Just looks better on a video I suppose to have a pretty face.
Hello Cat Stevens what a beautiful number you sing about Sad Lisa. It's wonderful to hear.😊
Wonderful singer songwriter, music just as powerful today as it was when first released.
For me, this song is a best of Cat Stevens.
Many would agree with you. He body of music work is amazing in the time he was active. One of the truly gifted singer songwriters.

It's such a touching song that can be interpreted in several ways. My enjoyment listening to this song has never diminished with time.
Beautiful and touching photos you added to this classic. Everyone has known such a woman. Lots of humanity there, thanks
Thank you, I spend considerable time capture photos that capture the mood and intent of the song.
Such a sweet sounding ballad.
I never tire of listening to this beautiful song by an amazing singer songwriter

Quel beau souvenir. J'avais 13 ans en 1971 et mes amis et moi écoutions cet album pendant des heures.
Mon premier 33 tea for Tillerman en 1972. ❤
Gut wrenching and beautiful
It pushes me to tears. I know this girl. At least once upon a time I knew her well.

That's prompted me to consider adding 'Morning Has Broken' to our channel. Will keep you posted.

Dave Rudolf's version is the best Yusuf/Cat Stevens cover I've heard. Well, it's my favorite version.
I'll have to take a listen, but I'll always love the Cat Stevens original

You raise a good point and I'll take that onboard. I chose those pics more on the facial expression, and not on any aesthetic appeal.
I don't like very much
The song?
