As for the 'bait & switch' - we have learned that ANY & EVERY BOX we purchase, unless 'factory sealed' MUST be opened... because far too many times stuff was swapped our, OR MISSING PARTS.
I played with the 'Vendoo' thing... and while I DID LIKE IT BETTER THAN List Perfectly, neither allow for a) use with multiple eBay stores, b) ending & selling similar, c) scheduling without extra fees, or d) function with any other third party tools. So, we dropped it. Multiple eBay stores to niche down, or play with different strategies, seems to work better for us. Though eBay has drastically slowed down for us...
I spent $5 on a Canon camera this weekend. No charger, dead battery. Ordered a universal battery charger for $14 (keeping for future use) Was able to test, list and sell the camera within hours for $116!
I’ve been bit by the ‘wait this isn’t the item that’s supposed to be in this box’ demon one too many times. If I can get it open to take a peek without causing damage I do it. Even then I haven’t looked close enough several times😂
I bought 2 vintage jerseys Saturday, looked really good in the dark garage, out in the light you can see the pulls in the fabric, probably get my money back, but disappointing nevertheless, another great video, thanks
Self inflicted Bait & Switch situations cross many product categories and types of sales. New Box, Old part is very common at Thrift Stores and Estate Sales too, especially if the sales are big and no original family members are present. It can vary from finding the wrong video game or DVD in the wrong case, old car parts that have been replaced, missing key parts in re-sealed boxes or the wrong sneakers in a box the new kicks came in. It’s something to watch for, but is really annoying when it was done intentionally, when the seller goes out of their way to mislead the buyer.
Can you do a UA-cam show on your silverware. I am just not sure what silverware to buy that is worth buying. I would really appreciate it. Thank you so much! Dana.
Bait & switch…I stumbled into that, when I first got back to reselling as a bz. I saw this box full of Harley parts…tried scanning stuff, but couldn’t see the pics very well (outside in the sun) & was getting nervy cause a lot of guys kept hovering. As I walked away, one of the older gentlemen said, “you got a HREST deal, there”. Feeling pretty dang confident, started plowing through them & turned out the owner put the old parts in the packaging when he swapped them out…the most irritating part was he went as far as STAPLING the edges (as one of the actual new items were) on the swapped out items😡. It’s hard..cause part of me wants to stay away from stuff I have no clue about & the other part of me wants to learn…but not at a loss😂
I hate when Goodwill tapes up boxes. I always open it anyway to confirm that the correct item is in the box, and many times the items is used. Did I miss a video about a resolution on the fake Transformer items?
I agree. Always untape anything before you purchase. Same thing when they tape up plates. One on top looks great. All the scratched ones are put in the middle
It's crazy that Oneida was made by an enterprising "free love" cult. Really interesting brand history lol. People definitely buy expired 35mm film. I sell it at our vintage space for $15 a roll and up depending on the film and I cant keep it in stock. People are specifically looking for it because they think the film degradation is artistic.
I guess I should have added to my comment that I know someone who got into a huge fight with a buyer because the buyer knows how much they pay for it and what they were charging.
Dairy Queen Mint Blizzard 😂😂😂 One thing to note about Mercari is that they now have a free import feature that brings over all of your eBay listings. Be careful though because I heard that sometimes the shipping will mistakenly change to free shipping without you pushing any buttons to do so.
You are the second to mention this to us. Well, guess what. Low and behold I went out to check it and that was the issue. Works like a charm. Thabks for making me check it!

That isn't bait and switch. That is called poor buying or buying stuff you don't know anything about.
Just an FYI, old game boys don't have any lighting. That started with the GBA SP.
I've had the gun scope switcharoo before, learned a valuable lesson that day 😄
I have fallen for the switcharoo several times myself.

you're not learning if you don't buy mistakes. We all do it at 1 time or another. key is to make more than you lose in this game.
I have sold Rockford speaker grills before-they go for good money. Also, you can probably sell that empty box as well.

I’m new to your channel and loving it. And that French onion soup sounds delish. That’s how it’s supposed to be pops !! 😂

Wow, really? I wondered why some of the patterns are called Community. I live in upstate NY, so I come across Oneida regularly.

Hey guys! Great video! Check to see if the game boy has a contrast adjustment. That may be the issue, maybe not but ya never know! Happy Sunday!
