Why wont you put the proper firmware up for the cr-10 v3? I tried 7 times on the v3 and it ended up scratching my bed. No support at all for v3 so why is it still for sale. This was my first creality printer and you offer no support for it.
I DID contact Creality about my CR-10S Pro (v1 original) asking about Firnware and upgrading my v1 to V2 because I only see V2 firmware on the Creality website and got a very short message back saying they WOULD NOT help me.
@@TheRoadRoamer Probably a bit late asking but did you get it sorted? Had a similar issue, link I had bounced to the home page and the firmware I needed wasn't in their download section. LUCKILY the website looks like it was coded about 10 years ago, went to the download section for the closest printer then replaced the name in the address bar with the printer model I was after - totally different layout for the site appeared, firmware was there along with a huge list of comments from people complaining that the firmware didn't work etc Firmware worked fine for me, not sure if they hide pages to bury complaints but I'll give their customer services points for reply to the email, couple days late but their reply was professional enough. So yeah, anybody reading this that can't find specific firmware, navigate to the download section and replace the model name in the address bar with what you're after... then clear your cookies coz DANG they throw a full box of them at your browser
So this tutorial made my BLTouch experience shit for around 4 months, it did not work well at all and now I've finally got what the problem was: you have to preheat the bed before probing, that way it has the right shape due to expansion and it will work.

okleydokley saying no one needs it is just wrong. Saying I do not need it might be more correct for your situation and even than there is an value issue. As people have pointed out it is an special version that costs more so you want to get more value to. Now let me explain why I claim your statement is wrong. First some people get bent beds. Way easier to compensate with bod all. Sure even then one can do it manually but it is not 10 seconds job. Every time you change the temperature or clean the bed your perfect setting might be gone. Then you need to do it again. Placing G29 line in slicer and every time you print it will be perfect. Fire it up and go. To be honest I like Creality printers and currently I own two. Even from my two the more expensive model have a micro dip in the middle. It is very often occurrence on the Creality printers. In that case ABL is a dream for almost everyone. See how I have said it? Almost everyone. Not a broad statement as yours while we are all different and I do account for that. So to second point. It is way to exclusive to say no one needs it while you can’t determine and predict other people needs an wants. Like I can’t say everyone wants value for their money although it might be close to the truth. You could argue adding a cheaper Chinese abl is not expensive but why? You have paid more it should come with it. Otherwise get the basic version and 7 $ abl solution and make it your self. Still even that is not for everyone. When you can do it one tends to forget that there is way more people who can’t do it. Never the less TLDR version if there is only me who needs it makes your statement a moot point. This is true disregarding to my reasons why I need it or want it and disregarding facts that I do know how to do it and I am not a lazy person.

I can't be the only one who noticed that their print is peeling off the bed after doing the BLTouch install. That's precisely why I would buy one; what's the point of this if your prints still peel from the bed?
@@Berserkercustoms44 You need to adjust z offset still, but BLtouch can mesh level and make even warped plates print great. But BLtouch doesnt know the true location of the nozzle without zOffset.
This might not be the right spot to post this but, from my experience (August, 2020). Installed the BLTouch on the Creality CR-10 v3. A couple things to note from my experience. a. Use the firmware for the Titan Direct Drive b. Printer not normally connected via USB so I disconnected power and moved closer to computer, USB provides sufficient power to power the head unit c. My printer was not recognized under COM5, I used COM6 and then it was recognized - this permitted me to install new firmware d. Be sure to reconnect main power supply prior to attempting Bed Leveling (USB cable can be removed for this part) Look forward to many years of successful prints with this device. Hope this helps others trying to install.

I recently purchased a CR10 V2, with a Creality BLtouch upgrade, and like many others, it will not work. I am using Win 10 on a new PC, the proper version of Slicer and CR10V2/BLTouch firmware as well as following any instructions I can find. On power on, the BLTouch self-checks/drops and retracts the probe twice and appears working. However, the probe never again deploys and as such is not able to sense the bed and causing a probe failure on the end of the z-axis. Please help as I am about to return the entire purchase, CR-10 V2, Titan Direct Drive Extruder, Laser Engraver, and BL Touch. Then purchase a competitor. Frustrated please help as quickly as possible.

Yes this is a huge issue with the BLTouch being that the BLTouch is supposed to keep this from happening. Sometimes it goes the opposite direction and grinds into the build plate. (ruined 2 of mine now and others have had the issue as well) This "CR-10V2" video isn't even using the updated firmware which makes it completely useless to V2 owners who purchased their machines after this video was created. I can follow this video with my CR-10 mini, but it doesn't have a BLTouch!lol

Another look at the vid and I see exactly what many people are having trouble with when it comes to the BLTouch. The side to side to side leveling is horrible and it even SHOWS IN THIS VIDEO! In this case, the right side was too low and did not stick or "squish". In my case and others, the right side is too high and scratches the build plate surface!! The purpose of the BLTouch is to eliminate issue just like this one and even fails in the install vid.......how do these people sleep at night?
I have the worst luck trying to get a BLTouch to work, ha! I'm trying to follow this tutorial, but when I connect my CR10 V2 to my computer, the Creality slicer doesn't show a COM3 available (just AUTO or COM1). I tried it that way and the slicer cannot connect to my printer. I tried going to the Device Manager and changing COM1 to COM3 manually. This allowed the Creality Slicer to see COM3, however, it still could not connect to my 3d printer. I tried this in other slicers as well. None of them can see when my printer is connected. Any ideas of what I should try next?
My printer is a CR-10 v3 (about 1 month old) and I have recently installed the BL Touch kit from Creality. I followed the tutorial and everything went fine, but I am simply unable to get this z-axis offset working correctly. I have manually identified the z axis difference (I've done this exercise multiple times, but the delta ranges between -2.1 mm and -3.0 mm) and stored that setting through the EEPROM, then saved settings (confirming beep, right?). I have done this many times but the printer is always printing way above the bed! To save time from the auto bed leveling, I figured I should simply be able to do the Auto Home (which for some reason brings the nozzle to the middle of the bed at Z 10.00) then just move Z axis to 0, but I am always left with a huge gap (about 2-3 mm). I repeat the cycle over and over to no avail. I had no problems at all with the printer previously and thought this BL would make things easier. Unfortunately, as it stands right now, I cannot even use this printer and have to consider resorting back to the manual z sensor. :( Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
MUST HAVE! IMPORTANT INFO! Important, I want to help everyone I can with this. Let me save you any trouble that others might be having. G29 and M420 S1. These are gcode bits you need to know when using a BLTouch. Nobody mentions this in any video or writeup I've seen and without them you will feel hopeless. Now let me explain. Watch Creality's install video and follow it step by step. However, once you get to the part for setting your Z offset, rather than eyeball it like the video, use a piece of paper like you would with manual leveling to ensure you have it right. Now once you have it all done and ready you NEED to add some g code additions to your slicer. After your slicer does a G28 for homing you need to either add a G29 (this tells it to do bed leveling) or M420 S1 (this tells it to use the saved bed leveling info. Use this so you don't have to wait for the bed leveling with every print). If you do not have one of these codes in your g code the printer WILL NOT use the auto bed leveling and youll be playing hell if you have a warped bed. Now as for a review bit. This works absolutely amazing! It's a must have, and makes the printer a joy to work with. Buy one immediately!
@@DestructionBots I appreciate this information. I did find and add the G29 code to my slicer (although I will certainly try the M420 D1 to save some time!!!). I did use the piece of paper as my spacer just as I did when manual bed levelling. Unfortunately, this is still not working. I adjust set the Z delta in EEPROM but then when it goes to print (after G29 bed levelling) it's still way off the bed. Creality has tried helping out without success.
@@bp2434 The short answer is No. I have set it once. The bed leveler picked up the slight deviations in the plate and then I just left it alone. Every month or so, I go and recalibrate, but otherwise I just go straight to print and it seems to work fine. At least I can print with it - for a while I kept attempting to calibrate each time and was completely unable to print. I was expecting the leveler to do the auto-calibration each time, but I guess not.
Hi, I installed my Bltouch but during bed leveling, it does NOT goto the edge of the bed as in this video. It is almost that it "thinks" the bed is smaller. I would love some input on how to correct this...should I reinstall the original firmware? is there a reset button for the firmware. I am a beginner

how do I decrease the number of probe points? Mine has a lot more than the 3x3 that is shown in the video. Also, how can I increase movement speed while its going through the probing process?
i did everything like in this video. everything goes fine until i have to do the calibration. When calibration finish the z axis starts to up, and do not stop until gets the top of printer. Even when it comes to the end, the motor still working, do not stop and very bad noise comes from spindle. This is the case of a CReality CR-10. Please anybody can help? Creality i hope your help.
Same exact issue here. Everything is perfect until I update the firmware. Even tried tiny machines version, but that one slams into the bed instead of the top.

Hi, I've follow the guide and did a 3d print sample cat gcode. it worked perfectly. It do some bed level test first and print. However when I try another model like the xyz calibration tube. It does not do bed level test and print directly. and the noozle is a bit high. Is there a gcode start for cr 10 v2 that do bed level test first?
my kit doesn't even match the video and i ordered them together it took 2 months to get my printer and then an addition month to get the bltouch, and for it to not even be the right kit that i ordered!
So I had issues following the video but, if you go onto Creality's website and download the Hex file there are also PDF attachments. My issue was it would not let me update through the Creality slicer. However Through CURA there were no issues.
Your explanations from the point your start A+B=C is very rushed. Try to be clear that is the most important step in the process. Do not rush it. I have tried it several times and either the Nozzle is too high or too low. I am about to return the BL touch and try manual. if manual fails i will return everything I purchased the CR-10 V2 and BL touch but having issues. First i installed the BL touch firmware and got an error attached but i still install the firmware. Then when i did the Bed leveling with BL touch and stored the Z. When i begin to print after storing the appropriate Z, the nozzle is either too high or too low. Not sure what is happening I even followed the video below and did (1) Bed leveling (2) move nozzle by moving Z close to print bed (3) Save Z

I believe you have to select a custom machine and enter the parameters manually. I believe the sizes it asks for in mm is 300 x 300 x 400 and then 0.4 for the nozzle. Hope this helped.
I follow this tutorial and the bl touch is not working and Creality denie me the warranty, bought the printer and kit direct from the official webpage!
I followed the video exactly. When I connected my laptop to printer via USB cable I got a message saying something like USB device exceeded power, spark flew from control unit and now all I see is a blue screen. Then I thought may be the machine should be on power to flash firmware, I switched on the machine, connected the USB cable and I was able to flash the firmware. But when I take off the USB cable all I see is a Blue screen. Only when the USB cable is connected to control unit I see a faint display - of the Creality home screen and it says 'STOPPED' on the screen. Can anybody advise what could be the problem?

Why is the BLTouch being sold for CR-10 without the extension cable? I mean, the CR-10 doesn't have the little housing as the V2 does, so the cable needs to be extended with a 1 meter cable in order to even try and use it

when i plug the printer into my computer using USB, the computer doesn't detect that the printer is there. I cant install the firmware. the furthest that i can get to is 2:05 but i get an error message.
Why are you using a V2 with an older version of the firmware? I purchased my CR10V2 soon after this video was created and I cannot follow it due to the menu selections on the control box being different. I was able to figure out how to get the bed leveling to complete, but then there is not way to adjust the z to a negative value like you do in the video. The menu selections you are using are the same as my CR-10mini (older model)
Dear friend, the firmware version does not affect the adjustment of the z-axis compensation function. If you cannot adjust, you can download the firmware on our official website again, and then try to refresh the firmware again.
I've been at this for HOURS on end. Mine homes to 11+ off the board, and MOVE Z, say's ZERO. I have to do -11.2, to get it near the board. If I save that, as my Z OFFSET, it tears up my Glass Bed

THIS VIDEO COULD HAVE LED TO MY MAIN BOARD BEING BURNT!!! The connectors shown in the video are supposed to be connected in the reverse order! I found it out the hard way... I connected them as shown here, and when I started my printer, I smelt something burning and my screen started flickering. Upon contacting Creality they sent me an installation video made by 3D printing Canada, which had the connectors placed in the reverse order to this. This is highly unprofessional of a big company like Creality to have this video still online even after knowing that the video is misleading. Shame on you Creality!!
@@Creality3D i bought it from an importer in India. But that is not the problem. Luckily I switched the printer off in time and saved my board. The main issue here is that you guys (Creality) knows that the video is wrong and misleading and still they haven't done anything about it! Just putting a simple note in the video will be great.

If the CR-10 V2 and BL touch you purchased are our products, the wiring sequence will not have any effect when the printer is turned off. You can see if your BL touch wire color order is correct. The correct color sequence of our wires is white, black, yellow, blue, and red.

CR touch only applies to 3D printers with a 32-bit 4.2.2/4.2.7 motherboard.This CR touch doesn't work for the 8-bit mainboard, Please make clear what version of your mainboard is before purchasing.
@@Creality3D thanks, I finally did it with some changes. The most important one was the interchange of pines in the stop cable (dual cable connector) to board in order to make the probe to work properly. I knew that it was required because it's noted in Merlin source code, otherwise. Your video don't mention it. Another detail not mentioned is that the settings have to be loaded every time you are going to print. At least, it's what I do since there's not clear direction. I suggest you to created better supporting Information.

The Z offset feature on the CR 10 V2 is joke. I scratched my bed twice and in the end I just ended up using my dremel. I drilled new holes for the BL Touch. I achieved my measurements based on the tune-> baby offset function while it printed a first layer. I cut a piece of card board that I measured with my calipers and used the bed as a base to reposition the BL Touch. Now every time it goes home and zeros the Z axis, I never have to play with the build in Z offset function. Thingiverse has some calibration tools, @t
absolute useless tutorial for me... Nothing worked as explained, wirings are different and the speaker doesn't seem to have any clue... Go and get some external tutorial, you'll have more from it... sadly
Thanks for responding but after hours of trying on my own I've already managed to got it working. Just not with the video because of the points I mentioned before. The wires where different for me, Imy BLTouch kit haven't got the same connector (it had a splitted one) and following the instructions in the video didn't lead to a working solution...

Shame on you Creality. I bought a BL Touch from Banggood, recently and after a perfect installation it only worked for 45 mins then burnt out. I wrote to Creality and asked for help. This was ignored and Creality here in the UK also would offer no support. I think its disgusting how I am treated . You should offer support and I was prepared to send this to you for testing.

No one needs auto bed levelling. It's a gimmick. Tramming with a feeler gauge takes 10 seconds.

The Bltouch is made in Korea but the Creality printers are make in China that's why

use glue sticks on the bed before you print, a quick layer Will help with peeling ALOT

If your BL touch flashes red its may be bad. i had on bad right out of the box. luckily i had bought a second and i swapped it out and it worked

I recently purchased a CR10 V2, with a Creality BLtouch upgrade, and like many others, it will not work. I am using Win 10 on a new PC, the proper version of Slicer and CR10V2/BLTouch firmware as well as following any instructions I can find. On power on, the BLTouch self-checks/drops and retracts the probe twice and appears working. However, the probe never again deploys and as such is not able to sense the bed and causing a probe failure on the end of the z-axis. Please help as I am about to return the entire purchase, CR-10 V2, Titan Direct Drive Extruder, Laser Engraver, and BL Touch. Then purchase a competitor. Frustrated please help as quickly as possible.
change the polarity of the red plug. black to white and white to black then re hook up. This will solve the issue.
The BLTouch kit I bought from Creality doesn't match this video at all. If someone could PLEASE list the pin out/pin names of the five pins for the BL Touch on the CR10v2 daughterboard. Thanks!!!
yeah on the manual photo the connector to BLtouch is wrong wiring colour, a shame. Ok they have a way to not connect properly but be careful.

Yes this is a huge issue with the BLTouch being that the BLTouch is supposed to keep this from happening. Sometimes it goes the opposite direction and grinds into the build plate. (ruined 2 of mine now and others have had the issue as well) This "CR-10V2" video isn't even using the updated firmware which makes it completely useless to V2 owners who purchased their machines after this video was created. I can follow this video with my CR-10 mini, but it doesn't have a BLTouch!lol

Another look at the vid and I see exactly what many people are having trouble with when it comes to the BLTouch. The side to side to side leveling is horrible and it even SHOWS IN THIS VIDEO! In this case, the right side was too low and did not stick or "squish". In my case and others, the right side is too high and scratches the build plate surface!! The purpose of the BLTouch is to eliminate issue just like this one and even fails in the install vid.......how do these people sleep at night?
The BL touch cable is wearing through because the fan is rubbing it . turn the BL touch so the cable is away from the fan.

I have the worst luck trying to get a BLTouch to work, ha! I'm trying to follow this tutorial, but when I connect my CR10 V2 to my computer, the Creality slicer doesn't show a COM3 available (just AUTO or COM1). I tried it that way and the slicer cannot connect to my printer. I tried going to the Device Manager and changing COM1 to COM3 manually. This allowed the Creality Slicer to see COM3, however, it still could not connect to my 3d printer. I tried this in other slicers as well. None of them can see when my printer is connected. Any ideas of what I should try next?
My printer is a CR-10 v3 (about 1 month old) and I have recently installed the BL Touch kit from Creality. I followed the tutorial and everything went fine, but I am simply unable to get this z-axis offset working correctly. I have manually identified the z axis difference (I've done this exercise multiple times, but the delta ranges between -2.1 mm and -3.0 mm) and stored that setting through the EEPROM, then saved settings (confirming beep, right?). I have done this many times but the printer is always printing way above the bed! To save time from the auto bed leveling, I figured I should simply be able to do the Auto Home (which for some reason brings the nozzle to the middle of the bed at Z 10.00) then just move Z axis to 0, but I am always left with a huge gap (about 2-3 mm). I repeat the cycle over and over to no avail. I had no problems at all with the printer previously and thought this BL would make things easier. Unfortunately, as it stands right now, I cannot even use this printer and have to consider resorting back to the manual z sensor. :(

Important, I want to help everyone I can with this. Let me save you any trouble that others might be having.
G29 and M420 S1. These are gcode bits you need to know when using a BLTouch. Nobody mentions this in any video or writeup I've seen and without them you will feel hopeless. Now let me explain. Watch Creality's install video and follow it step by step. However, once you get to the part for setting your Z offset, rather than eyeball it like the video, use a piece of paper like you would with manual leveling to ensure you have it right. Now once you have it all done and ready you NEED to add some g code additions to your slicer.
After your slicer does a G28 for homing you need to either add a G29 (this tells it to do bed leveling) or M420 S1 (this tells it to use the saved bed leveling info. Use this so you don't have to wait for the bed leveling with every print). If you do not have one of these codes in your g code the printer WILL NOT use the auto bed leveling and youll be playing hell if you have a warped bed.
Now as for a review bit. This works absolutely amazing! It's a must have, and makes the printer a joy to work with. Buy one immediately!
@@DestructionBots I appreciate this information. I did find and add the G29 code to my slicer (although I will certainly try the M420 D1 to save some time!!!). I did use the piece of paper as my spacer just as I did when manual bed levelling. Unfortunately, this is still not working. I adjust set the Z delta in EEPROM but then when it goes to print (after G29 bed levelling) it's still way off the bed. Creality has tried helping out without success.

@@bp2434 The short answer is No. I have set it once. The bed leveler picked up the slight deviations in the plate and then I just left it alone. Every month or so, I go and recalibrate, but otherwise I just go straight to print and it seems to work fine. At least I can print with it - for a while I kept attempting to calibrate each time and was completely unable to print. I was expecting the leveler to do the auto-calibration each time, but I guess not.
Hi, I installed my Bltouch but during bed leveling, it does NOT goto the edge of the bed as in this video. It is almost that it "thinks" the bed is smaller. I would love some input on how to correct this...should I reinstall the original firmware? is there a reset button for the firmware. I am a beginner
The firmware seems to be missing the correct x-y offset for the BLtouch.

When i bought the printer i asked a guy from Creality sales and was told it came with the titan! All the photos online show it coming with it.

how do I decrease the number of probe points? Mine has a lot more than the 3x3 that is shown in the video. Also, how can I increase movement speed while its going through the probing process?
i did everything like in this video. everything goes fine until i have to do the calibration.
When calibration finish the z axis starts to up, and do not stop until gets the top of printer. Even when it comes to the end, the motor still working, do not stop and very bad noise comes from spindle. This is the case of a CReality CR-10.

I dont have the COM3 option for some reason in Slicer. I cant figure out how to simply get the firmware onto the printer. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?
In my case, I checked first that in peripherical, my printer was on COM4, then I made the same protocol, but using COM4 ... Issue was OK
I had COM5 instead of COM3 or Nicopter MG's COM4, but my CPU configuration is atypical - MacBook running Parallels, Windows 10 - when I selected COM5 it worked correctly
Hi, I've follow the guide and did a 3d print sample cat gcode. it worked perfectly. It do some bed level test first and print. However when I try another model like the xyz calibration tube. It does not do bed level test and print directly. and the noozle is a bit high. Is there a gcode start for cr 10 v2 that do bed level test first?
Are there also some code adjustments necessary for the slicer?
my kit doesn't even match the video and i ordered them together it took 2 months to get my printer and then an addition month to get the bltouch, and for it to not even be the right kit that i ordered!
So I had issues following the video but, if you go onto Creality's website and download the Hex file there are also PDF attachments. My issue was it would not let me update through the Creality slicer. However Through CURA there were no issues.
There is a seemingly endless amount of information for this board configuration, sadly for me I have yet to find an installation video for mine. 😞

Your explanations from the point your start A+B=C is very rushed. Try to be clear that is the most important step in the process. Do not rush it. I have tried it several times and either the Nozzle is too high or too low. I am about to return the BL touch and try manual. if manual fails i will return everything
I purchased the CR-10 V2 and BL touch but having issues. First i installed the BL touch firmware and got an error attached but i still install the firmware. Then when i did the Bed leveling with BL touch and stored the Z. When i begin to print after storing the appropriate Z, the nozzle is either too high or too low. Not sure what is happening
I even followed the video below and did
(1) Bed leveling
(2) move nozzle by moving Z close to print bed
(3) Save Z

Do yourself a favor and pitch the BL in the trash. They are more hassle then they are worth.

I believe you have to select a custom machine and enter the parameters manually. I believe the sizes it asks for in mm is 300 x 300 x 400 and then 0.4 for the nozzle. Hope this helped.
1. update the firmware with cura. 2. if your BL is not stowing after deployment, then switch the black/white wires to perform a different polarity.
I follow this tutorial and the bl touch is not working and Creality denie me the warranty, bought the printer and kit direct from the official webpage!
I followed the video exactly. When I connected my laptop to printer via USB cable I got a message saying something like USB device exceeded power, spark flew from control unit and now all I see is a blue screen. Then I thought may be the machine should be on power to flash firmware, I switched on the machine, connected the USB cable and I was able to flash the firmware. But when I take off the USB cable all I see is a Blue screen. Only when the USB cable is connected to control unit I see a faint display - of the Creality home screen and it says 'STOPPED' on the screen. Can anybody advise what could be the problem?

Why is the BLTouch being sold for CR-10 without the extension cable? I mean, the CR-10 doesn't have the little housing as the V2 does, so the cable needs to be extended with a 1 meter cable in order to even try and use it

How many points are automatically leveled, you can change the number of points from the firmware.

Why are you using a V2 with an older version of the firmware? I purchased my CR10V2 soon after this video was created and I cannot follow it due to the menu selections on the control box being different. I was able to figure out how to get the bed leveling to complete, but then there is not way to adjust the z to a negative value like you do in the video. The menu selections you are using are the same as my CR-10mini (older model)
Dear friend, the firmware version does not affect the adjustment of the z-axis compensation function. If you cannot adjust, you can download the firmware on our official website again, and then try to refresh the firmware again.

This install work on a creality CR10 V3
I've been at this for HOURS on end. Mine homes to 11+ off the board, and MOVE Z, say's ZERO. I have to do -11.2, to get it near the board. If I save that, as my Z OFFSET, it tears up my Glass Bed

The connectors shown in the video are supposed to be connected in the reverse order! I found it out the hard way... I connected them as shown here, and when I started my printer, I smelt something burning and my screen started flickering. Upon contacting Creality they sent me an installation video made by 3D printing Canada, which had the connectors placed in the reverse order to this.
This is highly unprofessional of a big company like Creality to have this video still online even after knowing that the video is misleading.

The main issue here is that you guys (Creality) knows that the video is wrong and misleading and still they haven't done anything about it! Just putting a simple note in the video will be great.

If the CR-10 V2 and BL touch you purchased are our products, the wiring sequence will not have any effect when the printer is turned off. You can see if your BL touch wire color order is correct. The correct color sequence of our wires is white, black, yellow, blue, and red.

CR touch only applies to 3D printers with a 32-bit 4.2.2/4.2.7 motherboard.This CR touch doesn't work for the 8-bit mainboard, Please make clear what version of your mainboard is before purchasing.

@@Creality3D thanks, I finally did it with some changes. The most important one was the interchange of pines in the stop cable (dual cable connector) to board in order to make the probe to work properly.
I knew that it was required because it's noted in Merlin source code, otherwise. Your video don't mention it.
Another detail not mentioned is that the settings have to be loaded every time you are going to print. At least, it's what I do since there's not clear direction.
I suggest you to created better supporting Information.

The Z offset feature on the CR 10 V2 is joke. I scratched my bed twice and in the end I just ended up using my dremel. I drilled new holes for the BL Touch. I achieved my measurements based on the tune-> baby offset function while it printed a first layer. I cut a piece of card board that I measured with my calipers and used the bed as a base to reposition the BL Touch. Now every time it goes home and zeros the Z axis, I never have to play with the build in Z offset function. Thingiverse has some calibration tools, @t
absolute useless tutorial for me... Nothing worked as explained, wirings are different and the speaker doesn't seem to have any clue... Go and get some external tutorial, you'll have more from it... sadly

Thanks for responding but after hours of trying on my own I've already managed to got it working. Just not with the video because of the points I mentioned before. The wires where different for me, Imy BLTouch kit haven't got the same connector (it had a splitted one) and following the instructions in the video didn't lead to a working solution...

Shame on you Creality. I bought a BL Touch from Banggood, recently and after a perfect installation it only worked for 45 mins then burnt out. I wrote to Creality and asked for help. This was ignored and Creality here in the UK also would offer no support. I think its disgusting how I am treated . You should offer support and I was prepared to send this to you for testing.
