Nice to be the 1000... good mix.. sorry for my bab englih... remember me when i went to belgium..end of the 90's... i'm 44 now. And always on the road for seing Richie H. derrick M.. laurent G..Juan A... Kevin S... and... always moving and dancing with good vibes... like that .. Thanks... from Marseille whith love..👍
Wow, I really liked 'First Reason' by Third Nation. Enjoying this mix at work, great music to listen to and float away in a groove while doing monotonous work. Thanks for the upload!
I just discover this video (and other similar from Apollo Jeff). Great mix my friend, good choice of music, proper pure techno. Keep on mixing wih vinyls, that is the only true path :)
Just question opollo Jeff do u like any off the tek coming out Germany at all "harden farden" as noticed a few dark hard track in the set or as I like to call (clud bangers)
Yes. Can appreciate artists like Rødhåd and stuff on his Dystopian label and tracks/labels similar to that. I'm not too big a fan of the 'dry' Berghain Berlin style with heavy bass kicks that emerged a few years back. Techno Mix 3 on this channel is bit darker and harder but it's more based on the English Birmingham sound that artists like Surgeon and Regis are known for. Also have some really hard and fast techno. Have to put those in a mix also somewhere in the future :D.
@@ApolloJeff yes mate sound good looking far ward to hearing those set as for techno set 3 going to listen tonight thank for surrgest cheers philip lol ps cheers for the all ways reply respect
Overal I like it. The feel of the knobs and channel faders is great, the analog low and highpass filter are handy, And the sound is good. Channel fader curve is not linear. So that was something to get used to. The crossfader is not so good. Allen & Health made a strange decision to cut the phono inputs - 6db. That's why the gain is set to 3 o'clock in the mix. Can be annoying playing older records that are quiet. The manual tells you can correct this by opening up the mixer and solder some parts together. Not something you want to do with your brand new mixer. That's my only real gripe with the Xone.
Cool mix, but tell me, how on earth is it possible to mix with that xone when you can't see the volume (no seperate pod meter) of the track you're about to throw in the mix
Thanks mark. The Xone shows the individual channel levels when the cue button is selected ( red ). It shows the combined levels when left and right are deselected. Which i rarely do. Its not ideal. Have used a separate Db display meter connected to the monitor output to check the combined volume in more recent mixes.
@@ApolloJeff ah ok, but it's not possible to see the volume seperate of your headphone pre listening right? so you don't know how loud the track is you're mixing in to it 😭
No. Not at the same time sadly. But for home use it's not that big an issue for me. Forgot to say i also look at the db meters on the recording software like audicity to keep overal recording levels in check. Your looking into buying this mixer?
No problem. They are American Audio HTD 4.5 turntables. These type of turntables have been and are still sold under many brandnames. Synq xtrm 1 is still sold now. Look for Super OEM turntables.
Yes i really like it. But purely for it's price, sound quality and sturdy feel of the knobs and channel faders ( the crossfader is not so good ). It has a couple of weird design choices that are annoying and can make it completely unusable for you ( like the way it handles external FX ). So it depends on your mixing style and setup if this mixer is suitable for you. Do you have a particular setup you want to use it with?
That's partially the reason :D. It cuts out before the fader reaches the end. And it distorts sometimes. But I always end up mixin house and techno with the line faders for the longer blends.
They are American audio htd 4.5 turntables. It's a so called Super OEM turntable. Released under a lot of different names over the years. But they are all the same basically.
I get most of them from record stores in Amsterdam. New records and bargain bin discoveries. Occasionally buy a specific record online from discogs. And some of them come from flea markets and record fairs.
American Audio HTD4.5. decks. These are so called Super OEM turntables. Sold under many different brand names for the last 15 years. All with a different coat of paint and some extra options but essentially the same turntables.

In simplest terms, this is the art of DJ'ing.
The people that dislike this video can stick to their mp3s. This is real mixing.
Yes i agree, real mixin
Shame about the Fisher Price decks and mixer though
That Robert hood track is killer
Indeed :) That moment the hihat kicks in is pure bliss.
Nothing beats REAL techno off 12" wax with proper mixing.
Using Fisher price decks and mixer 😆

How do you like that A&H mixer? I was in the market for that one but got a good deal on the Pioneer djm400. They were kinda neck in neck..
