Civilization Stage is my favorite Stage in Spore and I'm grateful for the opportunity to share something I love!

I'd love to see you do a run of Military on Hard, since you haven't done military yet (while it's not fast like Religious or as difficult as Economic, it's the most fun in my opinion and it'd just be cool to see. Speedrunning on military might be a mixed bag since a lot of nations dislike you from the start, and you have to factor in that you have to destroy buildings when you capture)
Edit: Also, just curious, how much preparation went into this run in particular? You've done runs like this before, and on Easy it ends up being one of the fastest and cleanest runs you've ever done, but I'm just wondering about how much effort went into trying to optimize this one as much as you could.
A military run sounds like fun! Maybe I'll had some extra challenges to make it exciting like no use of the final nukes to capture the final cities or no vehicles can be destroyed or something!
In preparation for this run I would draw out the planet and cities on a white board and plan out my movements like an American football strategy drawing lol. This way I had a very clear plan and strategy so there wasn't too much thinking on the fly. It's hard to know exactly how long I was attempting this run, Civ is my favorite Stage so I find running Civ fairly relaxing so I probably play for a few hours every week whenever I get the chance but I've been doing that for years. I hope that's some good insight :)
@@KinglyValence How did you get the graphics so hd? all mine are set to max and it still looks like playdough
@@NhoJ392 I set the resolution to 1080p and mostly play with graphics at medium but keep the lighting quality down to minimum. I feel that is best balancing between looking good and not too distracting for the speed run. But I'm not sure your game doesn't look very good at max settings.
@@KinglyValence i mean it looks good but it looks like theres still a bunch of blurry/messed up pixels.

Glad that you posted another video! It's amazing, as usual. Love that you explain what you're doing in a very easy to understand manner. I've never played Spore myself, so it makes it a much better experience. Hopefully the algorithm gives you what you deserve for this video, which is lots of views.

There are 15 different home planet layouts, some are better than others. I've been trying out the other planets as well to see if the other planets could be more optimal for Civilization Stage, but I could try to get a run on each of them :)

Idea: spore blue speedrun, entire game you have to be omnivore, adaptive, industrious, economic

how about a creature stage speedrun where you try to find all the parts? or a speedrun where you try to kill a giant in every stage?

On a scale of easy to hard, how difficult is it to speedrun this?
Getting under 4 minutes is pretty difficult, I've only done it a few times. It takes a lot of practice for sure but sometimes the stars need to align to get everything to line up perfectly!
