St Catharines has a very laid back small town feel. I live in Toronto but visit regularly. Food is cheaper and people friendly.
Rent and food is not cheap there’s more homeless people on the streets here than Toronto you Torontonians come down for school take up the housing make things Make things expensive it’s very upsetting and frustrating
I moved from Danforth TO of 30 years to St Cath 3 months ago. It's very car centric, insanely rich in seniors, a mad variety plaza based retail and people empty grocery store isles, bank lineups, north and a south end and exciting nature in every direction. Endless outdoor exploration to commence in the spring summer of 2023. Conclusion confusion!!! Looking for peaches, I like it!!!

I was just in St Catherine's Saturday to see my kids, I live in Barrie which I prefer as a place to live
I was born and raised in st catharines its a nice small city but the crime rate has gone up alot and the housing gone up so to people from Toronto moving there and jacking up the rent price. Also there isn't much work in st catharines so that's why I moved to Edmonton alberta

There is an apartment building at the edge of a ravine newly renovated with lots of vacancies. Nothing can beat Toronto greenspaces and ravine sytems tho. I do miss that specialness. Your UA-cam channel is great fun! Thank you! 🥦🥦🥦

Think small acreage, bit out of town
The mountains will probably shock you. Van Island is nice climate, southern interior is great. Creston has nice climate for being in the Kootenays
Lakes are more clean, the ocean, and we got serious wildlife.
Definitely recommend taking a trip out to the west side of Vancouver Island. May-September

I just started following you recently (other channel, and now this one) and now you are in my home town, 4 months ago.

but, from a 40 odd year resident:
1. Don't swim in the 12 mile creek, there's a dump from the 40s at the start of it.
2. Yes ... downtown is sketchy, but market square on tues thurs and sat rock and some other great restaurants
3. Lots of photography in the area. my uncle does birds every morning at Port Weller awesome sunsets at Lakeside Park or sunset beach and lots of conservation parks to walk.
4. Niagara Falls is 20 min away
Just to the west of the city, fresh summer fruit and grapes from organic farms, oh my! Unless you're in midtown, the city has GOT to be much quieter than Toronto...
I don't know if I should be excited or frightened that you're eating a semi normal diet...lol
As a person who went from Los Angeles to a city of 35,000 I'd highly recommend it.

It's still Ontario ;[ Ok, Sushi Paradise and sushi friends and empty grocery stores all appeal to me like super mega. Btw, Sundays are the busiest day at grocery stores ;o
Farm Boy does have many varieties of kimchi, sauerkraut, and kombuchas, though. And tons of yogurt, too.

Down town St. Catharines is full of homeless people and needles. and stay away from just east of downtown .. that's the worst
Also come to beautiful Surrey hills in the UK. You can crash here and make epic vids good stuff

Fuck yes I’m sick of them coming down for school having landlords making student housing making people down here homeless😢 I was homeless for 5 years because this happens there’s more student housing rooms than anything else down here if you’re not a student and that’s all you can afford you still can’t live there It’s fucked up

Yes! I live in St. Catharines, or as I like to call it Shit Catharines. Downtown is bad/scuzzy, and there are a few pockets of tent city areas, especially since Covid lockdowns. There are a lot of homeless and addicts downtown, and many below poverty line. Sure there are nicer pockets, but I wouldn’t say there’s any real “good side” of town anymore.

St. Catharines is a great city. Sherbrooke, Quebec is much nicer. You'd love it here. Low rent. A mountain right in the heart of the city. The best food and restaurants.
