Synopsis: Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco, and the shocking revelation that monsters are real, “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” tracks two siblings following in their father’s footsteps to uncover their family’s connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch. Clues lead them into the world of monsters and ultimately down the rabbit hole to Army officer Lee Shaw (played by Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell), taking place in the 1950s and half a century later where Monarch is threatened by what Shaw knows. The dramatic saga - spanning three generations - reveals buried secrets and the ways that epic, earth-shattering events can reverberate through our lives.

Never in a millions years would have thought in seeing Godzilla covered in sand, but that shot of him roaring was so good, the way the sand dust falls through his scale and the way it all moves looks so realistic, I still can't believe that this level of attention to CGI was put into a show, but I'm so glad that they're going all in with it

It's so great that they're acknowledging the change between 2014 and 2019, and that they're going out of their way to showcase BOTH designs in this show
I am so fricking happy they referenced Godzilla vs Mothra 1964! That movie always had a very strong special place in my heart because that movie was there very first Godzilla and Giant Monster Movie I saw and this was when I was just a wee little lad at 5-6 years old. Without that movie I wouldn’t have been what I am today a die hard Godzilla fan and a giant monster geek thank you Godzilla: LOM for referencing the movie that started it all for me!
Ps: the scene where the camera just zooms along Godzillas tail and then rising up to show the rest of his body is absolutely beautiful!

I may be wrong but compared to all other shots of Godzilla in this show that one scene looks like his KOTM design to me.

Godzilla emerging from beneath the ground, covered in dirt is a really sick nod to the original "Mothra Vs. Godzilla". I dig it, loving the look of this show so far.

I always liked the atmosphere of Skull Island and the 2014 Godzilla movies.
I think after GVK and KOTM its nice to have a bit more subtlety at play again and a bit more reverence to the Kaiju being mysterious and unfathomable beings

I was already excited after the teaser trailer but this has me DOUBLE EXCITED! Here's hoping the new monsters briefly seen in both trailers will be revealed to be some of the named but unseen titans from Godzilla: KOTM.

@@KeenGotFound Kong is optional for me TBH. I'd much rather see what those unseen titans from KOTM look like. Of the 14 new monsters listed in that film, only three were shown with another two appearing in Godzilla: Dominion. That still leaves nine monsters whose appearances remain unknown.

@@TheLittleDudeMarcoPolo Behemoth & Scylla we've already seen. However we never got a good look at Methuselah, so I'd be down with him showing up to rectify that. I also suspect that the flying monster we've seen in the trailers could be Quetzalcoatl, if only because its body plan is relatively close to what we saw in Godzilla: The Series back in the day. That arthropod monster that also appears to battle a Mother Longlegs could be Abaddon, since its namesake is associated with bugs. Your guess is as good as mine when it comes to the creature with tentacles around its mouth though.

We need to talk about that new arctic titan with ice powers
I have BIG expectations for this series. I mostly hope that we finally get to see the fights of Godzilla Vs Male Muto that were cut out from 2014 and we see scenes of Godzilla Vs Shinomura and Muto Prime. Probably for another season or in this season if possible.
We could also get to see flashbacks of the Monsterverse from millions of years ago so we'd know how Godzilla, Mothra and Rodan trapped King Ghidorah in the Arctic, how Ghidorah got to Earth, how Kong survived Skull Island as only a baby, hints of old Kaiju from the Showa, Heisei and Millennium series, if we're truly getting Zilla and most importantly we'll get to see what killed Anguirus. That's probably in the top 3 of biggest questions that I have for the Monsterverse.
It actually looks like the show is set during 2015 since Godzilla's dorsal fins are starting to look more like they did in KOTM/GVK.

In the first trailer this looked good but not enough to be hyped, and now with this.. Just wow, looks incredible amazing and the cgi make it look like a movie. The monsterverse is just starting.

Seeing Godzilla breaking through the surface of the ground and shaking all the sand of his body right before giving his iconic fierce roar was honestly the part that sold me!!
Man, everytime godzilla rises from the sea or the ground, and starts to roar, it always gives me the chills
Love how they are combining elements from Skull island and Goji2014. That last shot of Godzilla was magnificent!
I love how this show isnt trying to be something it’s not, it embraces the fact that it’s about Godzilla…Too many spin offs try and involve things we don’t care too much about, But it looks like this will be a prelude to Godzilla x Kong

I never thought, in all my years of life and being a Godzilla fan (since before I could even talk properly), that I'd EVER get to see a live-action Godzilla movie that was as beautiful and grandious as something you'd see in a movie... and now it's almost here.
I haven't welled up this much since those first shots of Mothra in King of the Monsters... which may not have been that long ago, but my god(zilla) am I so happy to see something like this!
The last few seconds of money shot of the Godzilla & it's roar is one of the best in the recent cinema history. Glad that we r living in a time to witness such an amazing series.

Oh, man. AppleTV+ is killing it. For movies they have Killers of the Flower Moon, Napoleon, Argylle coming soon. For up coming TV shows they be adding this, which looks so epic, and Spielberg’s Masters of Air to a stacked lineup already featuring Ted Lasso, For All Mankind, Slow Horses, Invasion, Severance, Foundation. So hype.

I love how we see the 2014 and 2019 design of Godzilla. Glad to see some attention to the continuity of the Monsterverse regarding the comics as well

This series looks like it has so much potential. I just hope it focuses more on the Monarch organization and their history with the monsters and not just the exhausted plot of a group of teenagers where the leader of the group is looking for answers for their either dead or disappeared father while fighting against monsters and an elite secret society because that’s been done way too many times in my opinion.
Looks like legendary is stepping up their game, and fixing the cinematography, legendary Godzilla looks absolutely ginormous and he moves much slower than GVK. I’m happy.
I don't have Apple + right now, but you can be damn sure I'll have it on Nov 17! This looks incredible!
The cinematography is on the next level for a tv show it just feels like watching a movie. Kudos to the production team 👏

I don’t think I’ve seen CGI this good for a TV show since Game of Thrones. I’d even argue Godzilla here looks better than the dragons in that show.

From the looks of this show, it looks awesome. This might put Disney and all their recent shows from the MCU and Star Wars to shame (although they did make some good shows but it’s the bad shows that need to be highlighted).
They should consider some kind of theatrical release. Maybe for the pilot.
Hope we get some cool Godzilla battles but I feel like it mostly humans vs monsters..
Outside of skull island and parts of kotm we don't get that. Im definitely interested in seeing how differently sized monsters combat humanity
@@cryptodino3roberts712 That's what I think too. I think at best we could get a full showdown with Godzilla and another titan at the final episode but most of the show would be something similar to the alien and predator movies with more MV lore and story telling.

I've seen something the shot after the boat falling, I think there was a multi legged monster from the 2014 Godzilla teaser, and if it is then we could finally get a better look at this monster and the eggs if I'm right or wrong are probably mutos so I can't wait to watch this series when it comes out.

@@jacobsonstudiosgoji I said they're MUTO babies because the orange-glowing eggs they came from look and sound identical to the ones we saw in 2014, search "MUTO babies" on Google and you'll see those elongated black worms with legs and eyes (big larvae with glowing eyes) that were already teased years ago, but if they are something else i am wrong

Wow those shots of King Godzilla are just amazing now this has to be a series on the levels of GOT..with that good CGI.
I just finished the first episode. Perhaps my expectations had been set too low I was actually entertained. And hooked. Might just watch the second one now. But mind you, there's a bit too much exposition, so don't raise your expectations!

All the kaiju i could see in this trailer was: baby mutos, that one electric bat kaiju, mother long legs, maybe titanus tiemat and a new kaiju

It's going to be plot/character/lore focused, the MV needs to improve it's writing and not cater so much to fans who forget human characters are important
While it does look very entertaining from a monster stand point don't make the mistake of thinking this is gonna be a Godzilla Final Wars type of monster action. Remember this is a apple+ show not a full budget movie and while Godzilla is the main draw don't think we are gonna get a lot of him compared to the other monsters. I'm willing to bet that the show is gonna be something like the aliens/predator movies. Humans dealing with ground level monsters with some flash backs to 2014 and maybe the finally will be a big showdown with a larger titan and Godzilla. That's what I think it's going to be like but more lore driven then action.

@@suburbiaisnice Possibly or at best a short flash back sequence of the events of Aftershock. We do have KOTM Godzilla rising out of the ground so we could possibly get to see the aftermath of were he went after he defeated Jin.
