That 124 spider was great. So much personality, it made you feel special. After renting one I almost bought one, then got cold feet towards Fiat and bought a 2019 Miata instead.
The lag gives you a chance to look at the road, and most things should be prepared before takeoff. Quick speed is great, but pre l33ted computers fry ram, and peaks amp draw, and they are deep in dash. Good Stuff!!!
I came so close to purchasing the first FIAT 500 because of your review, now I'm having Déjà vu all over again with the 500e. Your enthusiasm is infectious ! I want this vehicle, perfect size for me!
Yep 👍🏼 I mean I want to support them for being stylish and being part of USA 🇺🇸 becoming acclimated to electric ⚡️ vehicles - But yeah I’d rather give them about 24-28 grand for one of these instead of nearly 40k
I really like the styling and size of these. I agree they're perfect range and practicality for most. If they brought the Abarth version here I'd consider selling my Cooper SE (which I love!) for one.
With all the Turin styling widgets (and for the $'s), at least it's actually MADE in Italy, rather than our last generation of 500's that were Mexican-made and a POS (I put up with one for 3 weeks, so I know from experience).
I'm sure they'll sell ones of them🤷♂️ I had an Abarth back from 2014-2019 and it was fun, cheap bits like the steering column would break on almost a yearly basis, replaced twice and the shifter linkage broke twice and once a summer, on a random hot day, it would go into limp mode and once cooled down, after 3-5 key cycles, the CEL would clear and full power was back. That said, I looked forward to driving it everyday but even back then you didn't see alot and now, you'll need an APB to round them up🤷♂️
They’re expensive - literally within 5,000 of a Tesla 3️⃣ and more expensive than a Nissan Leaf 🍃 Those are bigger (cargo and seating) so it’s quite Niche. Basically a smaller statured person 🧍♀️- with no children, nor pets…. Who lives in metro, or robust suburban areas
Awesome car. Could use newer battery and motor tech but oh well. We check the lease deals every month to see if they’ll start getting better. Fiat should take a page from the Toyota bZ4X book and drop the price. $34k is too much.
Individual dealer lease deals many places are better than the national Fiat deals. One dealer near me is under $200 a month with 0 down. Pretty much the cheapest lease out there.
@ true. For many, state level EV incentives factor in. Unfortunately for me, Utah doesn’t do that. $250/mo, $0 down, 24 month, and at least 7500 miles/year is as much as I’m willing to do for a last-gen tech small car. The 42 month super low mile national lease offer is way too long for this car, it’ll be insanely out of date by then. They really need to up the motors and batteries on this car.
It's DOA. As Kamala Harris found out, joy doesn't sell. It might sell for under $20k, but even then, you can get a Chevy Trax for $22k and have a real car.
I'm usually pretty conscious of that, but because you're sitting up fairly high in this thing (about the same as the average sedan) I didn't feel too vulnerable.
It’s your call whether you let the vehicle size arms race get to you or not. I have an ND Miata. I ignore the other vehicles around me and live with the “risk” of driving it. Accountant Bradley in his stupid F-250 emotional support vehicle doesn’t get to me
Just teasing Matt, this car is cool, but the price is just too high. Maybe if they can move production to North America, it would be possible. Happy holidays!
High price, low range, and low power. The car doesn’t make sense. The drawbacks are too many to justify paying that much. One would have to be a huge fan of the car and/or brand to put up with its mediocracy.

I love how when a car isn’t super quick. Matt always says, it’s faster than a crosstrek! 😂
That said I still hope they bring the Abarth 500e here… and the convertible
Merry Christmas Matt!
Merry Christmas Yuri!
I actually love these! Inside and out, the price is just such a challenge unfortunately. :/
Reminds me a bit of the 90’s neons “Hi” commercials
Considering you can lease one of these for basically nothing it’s not a bad car
I used to have the gas version. Fun little car at a reasonable price.
Not true. When you go to lease one the real price will surprise you. And when the lease is up, you will get whacked with the cost to return it.
I love the Fiat 500e and yes it may not be as luxurious comparing to higher-end cars but for the price you cannot beat it@@bigmacdaddy1234
On a good lease deal, this could fit the bill for a lot of younger ppl who simply need basic transportation in a local area.
If we had the same lease deal here in PA as they do in CO I'd probably have one sitting in my driveway
Yeah same here. Honestly even if Fiat does the $99/month lease again like the last gen I'd probably go for it.
I’d definitely take advantage of the Colorado deal if I could.
You did a great review here and I remember your review of the Fiat 124 Spider was one of the best on the subject some years back.
Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
That 124 spider was great. So much personality, it made you feel special. After renting one I almost bought one, then got cold feet towards Fiat and bought a 2019 Miata instead.
Wishing you and your family a merry Christmas!
Thanks for the well wishes, Merry Christmas to you and yours too!

The FIAT has really attractive lease deals.
These are 100% worth it if you can score a lease under $100/month. Would make a great around-town car.
I came so close to purchasing the first FIAT 500 because of your review, now I'm having Déjà vu all over again with the 500e. Your enthusiasm is infectious ! I want this vehicle, perfect size for me!
I’m glad you liked the video!
Until American cities are walkable like Asian and European ones, this kind of car will never be popular
Also Mitsubishi mirage review or riot
Haha a Mirage review will be a goal for 2025!
Seems like a cool “city car”. In Red it has to be named Blinky,as in Pac-Man.
that price is hard to swallow for a FIAT.
Yep 👍🏼 I mean I want to support them for being stylish and being part of USA 🇺🇸 becoming acclimated to

This car looks just incredible haha. So cool

Wow you were in my neck of the woods
Very well equipped for a base version.
Will wait for a good lease deal but once used this would be a good first car for a teen, or a senior that just goes to Target and the doctor.
With all the Turin styling widgets (and for the $'s), at least it's actually MADE in Italy, rather than our last generation of 500's that were Mexican-made and a POS (I put up with one for 3 weeks, so I know from experience).
Imo it looks adorable. I wish the abarth model came back
I know the guy over on tfl got a grazy good leas deal on one. Buying one make no sence but doing a leas on one heck yeah .
Pricing absolutely makes no sense
It’s currently at the “we don’t want to sell any” price. They need to fix that.
Oh yes babyyyy! Will be the cheap ev that matt is gonna lease??!! 🎉 this vehicle should've been 15k for the USA!!!
I'm sure they'll sell ones of them🤷♂️

Things a home owed would own😂😂🎉🎉
FIAT is a fun car.
The worst part about this is knowing people in Colorado get it basically for free...so that immediately makes me bitter 😂
Fiat has sold only 439 units of the 500e in the United States and 381 in Canada since its launch earlier this year.
They’re expensive - literally within 5,000 of a Tesla 3️⃣

*Damn I was gonna guess 16K for that goofy thing. 34K is hilarious* 🤣
Where in the world can u buy a new car, let alone an EV, for $16k..?😅
$16 grand for a small ELECTRIC ⚡️ car that’s SHOWROOM new?
is Craaazzy talk
You’re acting like it’s a golf cart in cost.
Boy Please 😂
@@rudfilplenty in china for half that, also, new versa can be had for 17k

If I could get it for free like in CO, I'd have one and I hate EVs.

We need more cute cars. Fiat just needs to find their niche like Subaru did in the 90s.
Fiat needs to come back out with the "Coupe" that they had in the 90s but do a spiritual successor
If I were on Italy's little medieval roads this would be perfect. But I am afraid you would be dwarfed by everyone else on US roads.
I'm usually pretty conscious of that, but because you're sitting up fairly high in this thing (about the same as the average sedan) I didn't feel too vulnerable.

The Chevy provides more value. But if I had the extra $$ I would get both!
Why on earth would you get both?
Finally ! Lol
Haha sorry for the wait! I was happy to be back in a Fiat 500!
Just teasing Matt, this car is cool, but the price is just too high. Maybe if they can move production to North America, it would be possible. Happy holidays!

MedioCRITY 👌🏾
The exciting new $34k luxury golf cart.
Easy to park/back out - on tight metro areas because it’s only
11.7 feet long.
(Miatas are 12.83 ft competitively)
great car for a young gal right out of higj school
😂
like your videos but the car is junk way to much money
Merry Christmas Matt!
Merry Christmas to you too!
