*Don't worry* , this isn't the editing style for the future of the channel, it was a fun way to "wake up" the channel a bit. Gotta love all the comments haha. We actually have quite a few editors and it's fun to have different styles for different videos. *_Let a guy have some fun now and then with his own channel_* , it's all good. And guess what, retention is 10% higher on this video because people aren't falling asleep with my rabbit-hole science 😂

Please do a future video on the little known fact that... low estradiol/estrogen levels in MEN also means low testosterone and belly fat... www.renalandurologynews.com/home/departments/mens-health-update/hypogonadism/high-estradiol-boosts-libido-in-men-on-testosterone-therapy/ (one of the causes for that is the DIET): www.healthline.com/health/estrogen-in-men#treatment (Relevant quote: More than 80% of circulating estradiol in men is derived from the aromatization of testosterone. Thus, as serum testosterone levels decline, there is a concomitant decline in serum estradiol levels. Nevertheless, the consequences of male hypogonadism are routinely attributed solely to androgen deficiency; the potential role of the concomitant decline in estrogens is typically ignored). Bottom line: ESTROGEN is more important for men than everyone once believed.

Ghee is just clarified butter, so you can make it from regular butter by letting it melt, allow the milk solids to collect and skim them out, no biggie. Let the butter solids brown, and you have a very tasty brown butter.

Thomas (Fortified vs NON Fortified Yeast) there is a difference. I recently watched your video on Bragg's Nutritional Yeast, but would you please do another video to clarify Fortified vs NON fortified yeast. Huge difference looking at the nutritional breakdown on the label. Way more good stuff in the non-fortified. When i saw brags I thought why is he using that. And to be honest i would have thought brags was not fortified and surprised to find it as such when i recently went to by it at the local coop. Damn it i had to go to Amazon for the non -fortified as ALL brands there were fortified. 🤦‍♀️

I always wanted to try this out after seeing many UA-cam videos of people saying it’s a must have vegan staple because it’s an alternative to cheese. I never been able to find it and when I did it was almost $8 for it. I found mine for a little under $6 it was on sale at Kroger if you used your member card. I asked for and received a discount from them based on my income (I live mainly off of a very modest Social Security check and am in my late 60s). The best deals are Thrive's own products but in general, the prices are less than someplace like Whole Foods. They are extremely good about packaging foods in glass containers, using a perforated paper product. And they carry an incredible variety of foods that people are looking for, for specific diets (keto, vegan, paleo, etc.) And the graphics inside of their boxes are very cute.

The thing about ghee... I learned the hard way to start out using only a small amount and not to swap it out one-to-one for regular butter. When I did use as much ghee as butter in a recipe, my stomach was making Mt. Vesuvius noises about 10 minutes after I ate my meal, and then I was back and forth to the bathroom for the rest of the evening. He's just spraying the crap out of the pan and onto veggies with that ghee spray. Maybe it's not as potent if it's in spray form? I'm going to buy some ghee spray and experiment with it. I've been afraid to try MCT oil because of my experience with ghee. I had a better experience with coconut oil, but I also started out slowly with that because of the negative intial experience with ghee.

Ghee when eaten right, lubricates ur intestines lining. Passes right through your digestive system🙂

    • @greuju
      @greuju 10 місяців тому

If that happened to you you have a really terrible digestive system. I suggest fasting until at least 3 days. Oils more or less are just fats which take about the same time to the digestive tract no matter what the refinement. Another point is technically MCT oil is the only oil that I know of that doesn't increase your blood sugar at all and it goes through a completely different process in your body

Hi Thomas, Victoria from Alaska here. I make popcorn (organic of course), then spray the popcorn with ghee then sprinkle nutritional yeast on top. Salt or cayenne to taste. Let me know how you like it.

Ha. Just got a re-up of yeast flakes delivered last week. I get the non-fortified kind. I usually only put it in my daily smoothies but I never thought of putting it on anything. Idk y. Maybe next time I I'll throw some on my eggs when I'm cooking them.
As for the edits? Kinda funny but weird for your vids. Been subbed to your channel for yrs so maybe it takes some getting used to.
Anyway, keep up the good work!

Bragg is fortified with synthetic vitamins. Get unfortified nutritional yeast. I eat mine with Greek yogurt or just mix some with sour cream to get it down.

Bragg's Nutritional Yeast is fortified with synthetic B vitamins. Nutritional yeast does not contain B12 so if your nutritional yeast has B12 in it, you know it has been fortified. And it's the cyanogen form of B12 that Bragg's brand is fortified with, so...

The popularity of keto for weight loss is such a double edged sword. There are a lot more keto options these days but now it is harder to tell whether a keto recipe is for those wanting to control seizures. Thanks for noting the difference, not everyone does.

Nutritional Yeast has been used by vegans and vegetarians for many many decades to create cheesy flavors. I would highly recommend checking out nutritional yeast “cheese” sauces and other types of things from vegan recipes which utilize it very well. Many of which are made with low carb/high protein or fat ingredients like cashews, silken tofu, etc with nutritional yeast.
Another thing is that while Braggs and Bob’s Red Mill is the easiest to find, I would recommend using unfortified nutritional yeast like Sari Foods brand or any other that isn’t fortified.
Nutritional Yeast is extremely rich in b vitamins, minerals and protein. But it does not naturally contain folic acid or b12. So some brands add these in to make nutritional yeast essentially a full b complex in food form.

I've used it on popcorn, sprinkled it on popcorn, toast and salad.
I once influenced, my wife at that time, that I wondered how it would work with Lasagna instead of cheese.
I don't remember it working very good at that time. Maybe it would work with the technique you used with the eggs.

My understanding is that you should never heat up nutritional yeast or you will lose the nutrients. You are supposed to just sprinkle on or into the foods after cooking.

Nice video. Love Braggs! I’ve lost all my healthy habits since Covid and I’ve seen many of my customers actually lose weight. I dropped out of Naturopathic Dr school and got hooked on ice cream and corn dogs. Hahahahahaha not kidding. Grateful for your content. It’s been a long time since I’ve watched your videos. You’ve kicked it up a notch with the funny editing. You look great, and good job for staying on track. I’m wondering if your youtube channel is what keeps you so dedicated, or if you could or have any videos you’ve already done about getting on track. Getting solid in your health game?
    Kudos
