- Today I test out the new 1.19 Snapshot and try out some of the new mangrove blocks! THEY LOOK SO GOOD. Leave a like and comment and subscribe if you're new :)

I can really see the amount of people using mangrove as a "cherry wood" and I'm lovin it. I've been wanting a red wood in Minecraft (not acacia or crimson) for literally AGES

And they will look super dope around sea lanterns, shoom lights, and frog lights.
I absolutely LOVE how the base of the house is a bit worn away and how the leaves surround the building, almost as if the swamp is slowly taking over the build
...but the fire hazard chimney is stressing me out

I presume @*[#Quack_Bur#]* was a fan of Joel so they probably were like "What? Joel? As in Smallishbeans? He's not in the video!" Before realising it was a UA-cam error. I'm just presuming as I have been in a similar situation before xD
I definitely see the mangrove wood offering a LOT to your Afterlife origins build pallette, even though it's already modded!
i love the fact that you do this for every update! its so fun to see you work around problems and using blocks you aren't familiar with!
I used brown mushroom block, mud bricks and packed mud for texture, it looks amazing. Have fun!

I really love the trapdoor and door design, with the beautiful detail! You can see how much minecraft has grown from the only light sources being things such as glowstone and torches, to lanterns and froglights. The textures of blocks such as cobble, gravel, glowstone and much more has deeply improved and I'm very excited for minecraft to progress further throughout the years!
i’m actually surprised at how much I like this pallet…? maybe it’s just bc joel is such a master builder 🙌🏻
The new wood color would look great to build a barn with.

Can you do a mangrove themed base as well next? Using any blocks of course, but set in, and in the style of, a mangrove
Do you think since they have mud/ adobe bricks that there will be a villager house that uses that as a material for this biome? Adobe Hut with a hay bale roof would be pretty cute if done right. Like a really primitive village.

This video has just made me so excited for this update, I love the new wood as well as the mud bricks. The addition of a new brick and a red wood is going to be amazing!! I feel like I’m most excited for the light though, because though we’ve gotten more lights over the years new lighting will never not be exciting!

I can guess what you mean by "Victorian build" haha , I've built something Victorian and red but not with mangrove , I built mine with crimson wood

The wood in this sadly enough gives me cherry blossom wood vibes more than mangrove wood vibes.
I was looking foward to the new blocks aka the new type of wood (Mangrove), but that was when I saw one of the pictures of the wood (the one that had the wood/ mangrove blocks lined up and it had a tinge of green and looked nothing like cherry wood or acacia wood). It looked better/cooler for builds than what it does in the snapshot in the vid.
I wish we had more woods of variety that would spice things up and change things plus adds more blocks for builders for variants in builds.
The sadness is just because if they add cherry trees/cherry blossom trees what color would they be. (this is an odd addition and I'd rather not have it if it's gonna be a dissapointment like sims 4, aka me being to excited for an update to something just to be let down)
I dunno what cherry blossom trees youve been looking at but they usually have a greyish/ very muted tint to them, very far from mangrove trees seen on minecraft

I love the wood so much, it kinda reminds me of the blossom tree in Japan. Because you know how it has pink leaves and all that and it looks beautiful. Yeah it reminds me of that but a different colour. Honestly I could see my self using it so much in my builds. But I think I would mix it with Spruce wood, I don’t know about anyone else but the cherry wood looks so similar to Spruce expect it’s more red. Other than that I like the mud and all that. Could see me building some stuff with that lol

With the mud bricks I already see a lot of new kinds of dirt houses going to be made

minecraft should commission people like you, grian, scar ect. to build custom structures or trees because your guys builds always look so much better than the actual ones

I have 2 ideas that you can do:
1) you should make an 'ancient' Shrek statue
2) you should make stars with the skulk block you used for the chimney or the frog lights, with lanterns hanging down from the bottom

The frog lights are made when frogs eat nether slimes or magma cubes.
Yep and the type of frog determines which colour frog light you get

The change of mangrove texture from jungle wood 2.0 to current version is the best thing Mojang has done while developing this update. It can ALMOST excuse the horrible colour of tropical frogs.

Neat! The red is a bold choice, but that'll be super cool in game. I'm sure the mudbrick has an application in creative builds, too--maybe paired with sandstone brick or granite.
