I replaced it and the only thing I took off was a charge tube and the air filter I don’t know why this guy took off everything you can route it the way it is supposed to be routed with it all still on
Jake Blues just about every year of the 6.0 has slight differences in the routing. I don’t have this channel as a “how to”. I didn’t rewatch this vid but most of my videos are for each specific customer so they can see what is being done to their truck.
Where did you find the main engine harness I find a lot of used ones but I don't want to put another chewed up wiring harness with 200000 miles on my truck and I cannot find a new OM for 2003 with the icp behind the Turbo
What was the the truck doing when you go it? I have a 2005 6.0 and having problems. it’ll start up and run but when your going down the road it will just shut off. When I crank on it I build oil pressure like normal but it won’t start. I can unplug the ICP crank it then plug it back in and it’ll start right up. I got a new harness and have a computer that I’m going to put on today. Just was asking I don’t want to do all this damn work and it won’t fix the problem..
Anthony, couple things... do you have another video showing the EBP re-route location and parts required? AND... do you always use OEM harnesses or do you have a less expensive alternative that you could recommend. Totally agree with BOTH harnesses being replaced.. I am actually considering replacing the CKP and CMP while in there.. Where are you in OHIO, I live in Gallia County(Southern).. THANKS!
What are the differences between 2004 and an early 2005 (9/04) Engine Wiring harness. Part number for the 05 is 5C3Z-12B637-AA and 04 is 4C3Z-12B637-AA. In my years of knowing ford part numbers, they both have the same base number (12B637-AA) the 4 and 5 at the front should identify the year it was manufactured. Any help with this would be wonderful, thanks
Gnidlaps2791 not much difference on an 04 and an early 05 besides the throttle plate connections. When possible,, we always update to 07 harnesses. It sometimes requires cutting the ear with the stud off the rear FICM bracket and welding it to the front, buying a new ebp tube and sensor itself. And drilling holes for the push pin retainers in the front bracket for the ebp wire leg. Some other modifications need done but nothing too big. It’s 03 (icp in the rear) that require major changes. But we have lots of 03’s running around with 07 harnesses too. No cutting of any wires will ever be tolerated on this channel!!! Lol
I have my cab off. Fixing to install a new engine. I'm really thinking about replacing the whole engine harness right now. Especially since the OEM harness are getting harder to find. Well for my 2006 it is anyways.
We are in Watson Mo. We built a new shop outside of town. Been buried trying to get the machine shop set back up. Lots of infrastructure needed in a new building to have equipment going. It’s about done finally!!!!

I’m about to do the job myself is there any tips or anything you would recommend
You are very knowledgeable, but you sure talk down about your customers after showing the company name on the truck. Doesn’t sound very professional.
OK that was worthless cause you don't show the one thing I need to see. HOW TO ROUTE THE HARNESS.

It’s not hard, just did mine
Andrew Hermanson about how long did it take you to do your harness
