He passed peacefully in his sleep. Can’t ask for better than that. I’ve known so many people go days & weeks in extreme pain due to health issues known to be caused by the very food they eat. I’d say age 77 is impressive given his past health concerns.

He was very public about his health: 2015 he suffered a viral infection in his inner ears that caused a fall with small fractures that healed on their own. Later in 2017, Mary had a fall, they lost everything in a fire and a month later he fell off a ladder at a rental house, broke his femur, suffered renal(kidney) failure and nearly bled to death. He recovered with a lower weight and had a new baseline, was doing well for 7 years following! Yes, he took 2 jabs and lived 3 years more being very positive, actively involved with countless zoom meetings! Returning emails and giving out free advice. He was great! I’d like to see any critiques come away from all of that as an elderly person and still be teaching and answering emails till they passed.
He was also very proud to have outlived Atkins 😅

Dr. John McDougall lost his home, his cat and all of his possessions during the Californian wildfires in 2017 and had an unlucky accident sometime in 2015 where he broke his hip. I don't think he fully recovered from that. His May 2016 Newsletter on his website has details on his accident, while his facebook post from October 12. 2017 documents the loss of his home.

There are no such a thing as generic disease, all these diseases are just made up cover for heavy metals and toxins. DNA is perfect if not damaged. Can be damaged nonetheless, even for a few generations ahead, however these damages are instantly seen in newborn children.

I've thought a great deal about the passing of Dr. John McDougall. For someone I have never met, I cannot believe how often I have thought of Dr. McDougall since his passing. I find my mind constantly engaging in "what ifs" related to his passing. What if he had engaged in more resistance training and physiotherapy? What if he was indeed more frail and something could have been done to partially mitigate this? What if there was a sauna protocol that could have extended his life? What if the jab had something to do with this? What if there was some rare genetic abnormality beyond the stroke that overlayed this? What if there was a radical treatment available that could have helped? (i.e stem cell therapy, gene therapy, etc).
At the end of the day none of this really matters, but I cannot help but coming back to these sorts of ideas again and again. What does matter is that an incredible human who helped more people than nearly anyone on Earth has passed away and that is a tragedy. Dr. McDougall responded to a few of my personal emails over the years and I am beyond grateful for that.

It was shocking to me that a man who was so careful with what he put in his digestive system thought it was okay to inject a barely tested product directly into his body, bypassing the digestive system. I wonder if his family is getting an autopsy.

The one thing I would say about it is that he did not age well when he hit his 70's. I'm personally in the camp that people's need for protein increases as they age and he fought verbally hard saying people don't need very much protein. He looked frail. He never stressed exercise. Still, he lived above the average age.

you are right the need for protein does increase, the amount of protein needed to stimulate mtor increases, if you are not getting the minimum amount of complete protein AND leucine in a meal needed to turn on that mtor switch you are missing chances to stimulate muscle protein synthesis multiple time a day, day after day week after week and eventually it shows, muscle is not just sitting there doing nothing it has many many benefits to health and everyone would be better of having as much as naturally possible for them rather than the minimum amount

Dr John lived a full and happy life he was faithful to his wife, she was at his side and a crucial factor in his success. He wanted to be known as a grandfather and enjoyed his grandkids. He also helped many people change their bad habits to good ones. Bad eating habits are the last thing that one would let go of. As a Christian a wise woman told her daughter your eating habits are the last thing you give to the Lord. Steve Jobs happened to be the very first video I watched from Dr John. Later I read that Jobs lived on cream soda cooldrink 😂. I did question his views on vacations, but I do not know if that contributed to his death, but there is enough evidence against it. What I also appreciated of Dr John was that he was honest and straight forward. I also did not go into eastern religions. I also appreciated his medical background and that he studied the work of others. He never claimed it was his, but was humble enough to learn from them. Most people would not mind living to 77 and dying quietly in their sleep. Whatever the reason for his death was I hope that he died in the Lord and that the Lord Jesus Christ was his saviour. Nothing is as certain as death and nothing is as uncertain as when. Do you know the Saviour who died that you may have eternal life?
