You’ve got the Irish gift of being a great storyteller!
Ikr??? Such a great and inspiring history.
Kissed that Blarney Stone….
Comes from the Blarney's stone I presume
2:33 this got to be the most unexpected, random and at the same time hilarious angles i have ever seen!
Great storytelling. Sounds like a dream!
Thanks for the encouragement
The world is rather grim these days, happy news in short supply; this episode is a sorely needed and amazing story. Thanks!
100% agreed. I’m self employed and I started with nothing but an idea. Like you I made it a point to try my best to get noticed. For someone to give me the first break. With no experience as a business owner I landed a 5 thousand dollar contract. And believe it or not I was told the same thing… the man said he liked me because I had the balls to go for what I wanted. If you wait for someone to give you an opportunity it will probably never happen and you’ll go through life saying “what if”. Always take the chance. The worst that can happen is someone says no. I can think of worse things in life. Go for your dream and you’ll likely get it
the worst that can happen isn't someone saying no, they can take their time to really humiliate you and kill your hopes. it's a risky strategy that doesn't work out for most people.
That low camera angle, where the the camera was on your foot as you were walking is genius! Awesome cinematography!
I thought he was gangsta limping
I love this story. I work in a guitar shop and I'm always telling my customers to go for it, try something new! No new genres were made by colouring inside the lines. If Hendrix had stuck to what he was told music would sound pretty different now. Your story fills me with confidence that sometimes hard work and a slight chance can pay off! Thanks!
2:34 POV: You're KDH"s ankle tracker
LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOO 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I love storytime with KDH! Never disappoints!
The filming in this is really next level
That was one hell of a story. Dennis sounds like a decent guy to accept your CD like that and set up another meeting. Can't wait to hear the story of how you got Michael Wagener to mix one of your songs.
Awesome story, and what incredible foresight to film the whole process cinematically when you had such a low chance of success! 😉 Also very glad to hear you came out the other side of those Roaccutane side effects. That med is no joke and changes your body forever.
It's amazing that in a day where streaming and social media have drastically changed the recording industry that the old record a demo and take it to a publisher still works. The one thing I regret as a singer/songwriter is that I didn't push hard enough to get my work published.
I have been here since the very beginning of your channel.. and I am very happy for you. I hope you get every single thing you ask the universe for!
Hey KDH, have you seen the film Airheads?
Glad you didn't have to go that route.
Great story, fair play to you for having the balls.
Congratulations, KDH!!
Heck yeah! Congratulations!!!
Great story! It just goes to show that with hard work, and, a little bit of luck, good things can happen. Then again fortune tends to favour the brave. With an Irish heritage and an Irish surname of MacAodhagáin (Anglicised to Egan), I hope you have even more good fortune and will get to hear about it on this channel.
Way to go dude, thats great!
You've got balls, bro.
This is without a doubt the best video I’ve seen you put up here (your other content is great as well).
Maybe it was a mix of the genuine sincerity and pride along with my own experiences with being in a band. Actually if I’m being completely honest, your story gave me a little of that old lump-in-the-throat-nostalgia triggering memories of some of the best moments of my life so far. It’s quite obvious the memory of how you felt on the train ride home that day will be one of the shiniest much further down the road when you get to the wrinkly part of our lives. You can still see it light up your eyes when you’re recounting the event.
Furthermore, you’re 100% correct in your advice.
Throw caution to the wind,
Do the crazy idea,
And the Butthole Surfers still said it best when they said “it’s better to regret something you did than something you didn’t do”
Thanks for the story,
Keep on rockin’ in the free world!🤘
Fantastic video! Things happen if you try. You need that bit of luck too, but that also will come.
Well over 30 years ago, I made a recording with 2 friends. One paid for it, and me and my best friend produced it. Me writing. Went to meet a label boss in a record store. That day, he offered me a chance to join the label. Started a form of career that I still have at 57. Sounds simple, but I had spent 5 years trying all sorts to get to that point.
Awesome, happy for you and your band. Fortune favours the brave👍🏻keep rocking
Congratulations and good luck!
Loved the house arrest cam!
congratulation, I hope everything goes well. your channel is amazing, I love it.
Greetings from Amsterdam. Great story mate, you've got balls.
Great story, and congratulations! 💚🎸
A great tale well told. Nice work.
"You've got balls!" Loved the "old school" demo cd way method stories.
Old school times had old school methods.
congratulations🎉
PS the story telling and visuals are amazing!
Hell yeah that’s a cool story man hopefully things went and are still going good
The camera on your leg was absolutely EPIC!
I laughed out loud for a little too long
Good for you bro!!! It's refreshing to see that rock ain't dead yet!!! Can't wait to see you sell out Madison Square Garden! Cheers mate!!!
I love this story. Congratulations !!
$10K! Wow! that's almost enough to put a deposit on a new Les Paul.
thanks for sharing your story man!! It gave me the inspiration I needed!!!
Utterly superb! Congratulations and thank you so much for sharing this 😎
Awesome story mate 🤘🏾⚡🎸
Your voice is so soothing, and you truly do tell stories in a very gripping way.
my man, you are inspiring indeed. great camera work too! i wish you all the best with your band! wish i could be in a band soon
Wow what a cool story, cant wait to heat more! Good film on that too, I enjoyed it. Did I say I cant wait to hear more!?
Foot-Cam is the angle we have always wanted but never knew
Bray!!!! Spent the spring of 2018 in Gorey, and didn’t want to leave! Love that part of Ireland!!
i've seen almost all your videos and i think this is your best! outstanding!
Nice story man! sooo cool
Congratulations! Always go for it, you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.
Congratulations, you deserved it. And, great advice.
Great story, well told.
You are a great role model. You really research your audit videos and I know you had some set back in star guitar and you keep on going. In my eyes you are a success and have achieved far beyond my abilities. Talent and hard work should get you to more places. Brilliant.
Leaning up against the fence at the Peoples Park to get your music out to the people...Love it. Nice one
That leg camera shuffle
That's a great story. congrats
Awesome dude!
I'm happy for you!!!
Well done! 😎
Thanks for sharing. Awesome story!
Such a heartwarming story, great stuff!
Shit like this is exactly why I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL 🤘❤️🤘

Love your chanel.
riveting. enjoyed that story immensely.
Publishing Deal nice , now you got to make the product
Damn that's great
Inspirational! Thank you for telling that story.
It's been years since I was on the DART - those trains belong in a museum :)
Yes, this wouldn't generally work, but it doesn't mean that one shouldn't try. Wholesome and humble story of triumph. 10/10
Great & inspiring story Kelan! 🤘
The shoe cam freaked me out man!
That's an awesome story.
Cool story, bro.
Excellent story telling, great production.
Encouraging stuff my friend.
Good for you, KDH. I detest heavy metal (for reasons best not shared here) but I subscribe to you and watch your videos because you're one of the few metalheads I can watch without feeling that I've damaged my IQ. Congratulations, and I hope it's the beginning of something big for you and your bandmates.
Great story and great visuals! I'd like to hear the story behind how you got Mike Wagener to mix your song.
Good job!
Well good shit!
Ahhh, you’ve gotten Accutane. I got the same and experienced the same side-effects that you described.
Awesome story 🤟🏻
Great story, and a cool reenactment!
That’s an awesome story!
Walker's a great band. Nobody writes anthemic hard rock like the Irish.
At least if you're pro, NO income tax! FTW!
This video means so much to me.
You missed out a few key points in your video: I take it you made an album? Couldn't find it, looked in the usual places? How many did you sell? Was it enough to pay back the advance? Does w.a.l.k.e.r stand for anything as you have full stops in-between each letter. Thanks.
it looks like they're just getting started, there's a single released last year
I had a very similar experience in Dallas back in '86. Did the album, little showcases and even had Bill Ham to manage.
Went nowhere.
Congratulations belated as this must be, but Congratulations
Drug companies “are you a teen who’s depressed about how you look? Here’s a drug that’ll make you feel even worse!” It’s terribly sad
fuckkk that sounds like a miracle
I'll watch this every time I feel I can't succeed.
I saw your cd’s for sale on the Walker band website. But do you tour? Do you come to the US?
Also, tell us also the story about your scholarship to WaterBear🎉
Very cool
I love Mr Beast videos. This thumbnail is fantastic.
Congratulations.
And fair play to ye!
Love u :,)
