  • Grimm OffRoad’s compact mounting bracket kit solidly mounts ARB's Twin Air Compressor under the hood of your 2021+ Ford Bronco. This is the most functional and integrated kit on the market. The included wiring harness allows convenient access to the on/off switch and air chuck on the right front fender and by tucking the air compressor vertically inside the inner fender, it is kept away from the elements while keeping the noise where it belongs.
The Grimm OffRoad bracket kit includes four steel brackets, a new airline and fittings, and a wiring extender that connects to the compressor's standard harness. Each bracket is made from steel with a black powder coat finish to protect against corrosion. The larger brackets mount the compressor itself inside your Bronco's inner fender, while the smaller brackets support and stabilize the compressor. The compressor is oriented with the two inlet air filters at the top of the engine compartment. The kit comes with a new braided stainless-steel hose that runs to the included bulkhead fitting for attaching an air coupling like the one included in ARB's 171302 Pump Up Kit. Each kit comes with all the necessary fittings, hardware, and instructions you need to get it installed on your Bronco.

Thanks for the video. Here's a tip from my build: From the battery, route the harness by grabbing the weather pack plug and guide it between the brake booster and driver's side fender, next behind the brake booster. Then follow the main harness on the firewall and down towards the ARB Twin (avoiding the exhaust/turbocharger). You'll have plenty of slack if you align the the harness left/right before cable-tying everything. Now you can attach the ring terminals to the battery - you have to do this last to prevent shorting out the cable and fuses.

Very cool. I'm leaning towards a 2dr base bronco with sasquatch.
I've had four different wranglers over the years, last one was an 04 Rubicon built for the AZ rock trails just north of Phoenix in table mesa area.
But the base bronco with sasquatch package really is closer to my budget if I'm buying new, compared to a new Rubicon.
I'm not thrilled about bronco IFS, but i think it'll work great... Plus I'm nearing 60 yrs and not running same trails i did 20 yrs ago. Bronco base my be just my speed.

You'll be surprised at how well that IFS performs off-road.

I like this install. I have another question about your bumper and winch. Do you have the 2.7 L (intercooler issues?) and did you upgrade the front suspension with the extra weight?

We have seen no issues with the intercooler, even on hot days, which in western WA is mid-90s.
We ran the stock suspension for a few months and you could feel the difference in weight, it was really soft and more apt to bottom out on the bigger hits.
We have since upgraded to the ARB Old Man Emu springs and shocks and that has made a big difference. iirc, we went with the medium front springs and the light rear springs.

Did you end up having to do something different with the electrical connectors to the battery to get it attached? Wasn't clear on what you were doing at that stage but seemed like the plastic battery covers wouldn't close up?

We had to put a 90* bend in the terminal to get the plastic cover to close down all the way.

Does the single compressor mount the same?

Why do some connections need teflon tape and others do not?

Whether they have some sort of teflon or a sealant already on them or not.

Will it work with the 2.3L I-4?
