In the short time since I discovered this song (being featured in the December Top 10), I have been absolutely in love with this song. I love the tempo of the music and the lyrics, and I've found myself humming the chorus a lot over the last few days.
I shed a tear at hearing the beautiful melody, the accompanying lyrics also helped too. I have no idea why this doesn't have more attention, but hopefully, it gets some soon, even though it's been 6 years since it's release. ^_^ Once again it's so hard to express with words the amount of gratitude and happiness I feel toward such amazing works from ponies of the family, but... I'll try. Oh, but I do have things to say about the track! The instrumental intro was very emotional to me and the sounds used reminded me of some OST tracks I love. Especially the violins. Awesome choice there, it truly is a powerful bliss to the listener. I also especially loved the last part that sounded a bit like a march to give strength to soldiers... And I'll really need that next year. I'm sure this track will give me strength when I need it the most then, reuniting musical masterpiece, genuine feelings, and a deep spirit of community and family as I'll remember it was made by a fellow pony of the family and friend. TenderFlutter The one at 0:23 sounds especially long and dissonant. Having only two voices that depend on each other to create harmonic consonance really makes it stick out. The later bends are more tolerable b/c they sound like they don't last as long or the dissonance is drowned out by all the other consonant voices.
