Thanks for this video! I really enjoyed it , I love your shop setup , I also have a wood and metal working shop but the majority of it is set up for glass cutting and installing in commercial, and residential application
Thank you and thanks for watching. I love the bench too! Here's the link to the latest shop tour video showing the most recent changes. ua-cam.com/video/ygM5IuWj_DE/v-deo.html
G'Day Terry, thanks for your shop tour mate, you got a nice set-up there, I am going to knock off a couple of your ideas for my workshop, I have been busy cleaning 25 years of cobwebs, and accumulated dust and crap, returning back from a storage shop to a woodwork/machine shop. Your shop is the same size as mine, (I had to do the metric conversion 😉 )
Hi Terry love the shop, I have been split working between two buildings on my property, one for metal/blacksmithing and the other for wood and glass. I am looking to combine and your layout is quite helpful. It is also amazing we have some of the exact same equipment! Thank you very much I can’t wait to have everything in one place!
Very interesting tour! You have all da tools! More importantly, you obviously have the skills to use them. Love the cleanliness and order of your shop.
A shop IMHO is a place to escape to. I'm into the aesthetics as well as the functionality! It should be a place that you "love" to be in! And I will say, your shop is one of them! Clean! Organized! Excellent! Enjoy!
Thank much Jeff! I agree completely. I want my space and the projects created there to be pleasing to my eye. Of courses we need function but aesthetics are just as important to me.
I'm updating and remodeling my shop space so I've been looking at other shops for idea's; I just came across your video and just wanted to thank you for sharing. I do a little bit of everything (metal, wood, auto, etc) in my shop so a good layout is very important, and reorganizing is the most challenging part for me so each little nugget of an idea is helpful. Thanks again.P.s. Nice shop.. 👍👍
Hi Yebo. I've looked at a lot of shop tour video's, all my favorite ideas have come from the channels I subscribed to, check the channels tab on my channel to see my favorites. I've set-up a lot of workshops over the years, each one better than the last; the one thing I learned from all that is that the shop has to suit the owner, here is a video of what I'm doing in my shop and the direction I'm taking. ua-cam.com/video/ZlRQzcXXJuQ/v-deo.html If you like what you see please subscribe to follow along, I think you will enjoy what I will be working on in the coming months
Thanks Greg! I spent the day in the shop with worship on my Pandora so it was!! More videos coming soon. I'm in the midst of an old school mini bike build!

Nice shop and layout. I never seem to get to a level of completeness in a shop. I have moved and most of big tools in storage yet. But my main problem has always been what to do with all the small stuff. How do you find a home for all the small stuff, like bits, blades, hardware, finishes, etc.?
Great shop. Is your shop a seperate building? I take 8x10 photos of projects I make to look back on. Maybe in another video you can show us a few projects you made.
Thanks! Yes, the shop is a detached 30 x 40 building. Here's my shop photo album on my Flickr page. Some project pics are in the album. I do need to put a projects only album together.www.flickr.com/photos/93396776@N06/albums/72157662704888056/with/44779822484/
Love the setup. What are the dimensions of your shop? Our new.pole building is going up the end of the month, and I'm just starting to figure how I want to lay out all my wood working tools, since I've never had this much room before.
It looks beautiful. You take great care of your tools and shop. Is that flooring mat come in a roll like a carpet or in tiles? I would think it would be hard to take care of, but you certainly don't have a problem. It looks brand new!
Thank you! The gray part of the floor is done with the interlocking mats from Harbor Freight. I've had to replace a few over time that got stained or damaged but pretty trouble free over all. I don't sweep very much as I just open the doors and blow everything out with my leaf blower from time to time. They would be more problematic to keep clean if you had to sweep them.
I enjoyed the tour. I don't think you mentioned the Floor Pads, do you recommend them? Not many people are into Wood/Metal Working as well as Mechanical stuff, good for you. I am cut from the same cloth.
Thanks! I did the main part of the shop floor with the Harbor Freight mats. Been down for many years. I would not want to go back to walking/working on concrete. They have held up very well. I have horse stall mats from Tractor Supply in the mechanical area. Have been well pleased with those also. Super tough but not nearly as feet and knee friendly as the HF mats.
I just acquired a rong fu rf30 it looks the same as your enco.. Is there a trick to rais and lower the entire head?(aside from lock). Mine doesn't want to move easy and I don't want to strong-arm it.. Thanks

Ok, my shop is a two car garage with all basic machinery. Oh I wish I could have that much room. Great
Nice looking shop, but you happened to be the one in ten thousand videos that I cannot pick up the sound on. Still a great looking shop though.
Thanks Andrew. First I've heard of any issue with the sound. Works fine for me.

Not that I know of. Probably should check the alignment of the gear rail and verify the mechanism isn't clogged with some sort of debris.
