Man, this the kind of shop layout for a 2 car garage I've been looking for. I think this works very well and I might be able to pull off some re-laying out my tools for a better flow based on this. Thanks for this great tour!
Thank you !!!!!!! After struggling for months on a way to set up my garage shop, this video put it all together for me. I have a 2 car garage and I have been trying to find a way to set up half of it for my woodworking because the other half is boat storage. I set up just like this layout on the table saw half the day after watching this video. I've been working in it for a month and it is awesome. Thank you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great shop, lots of ideas if I can ever get my wife to agree to park outside! One note on those air compressors: the aluminum tube that goes to the tank from the motor has rubber orings that don’t like the heat very well. We have one at one of our gas stations that we have replaced about 4 times now due to that failure. Luckily, Home Depot is great about just swapping it out with another one. Love the rockler carts, definitely going to look into those! Thanks for sharing your shop with us!
Well equipped it certainly is. I liked the matching front of cabinets etc. If I had anything like this setup, would probably spend time just admiring and not making anything else. Thanks for the tour guys.
I've been playing around with the idea of reorganizing my shop lately so this is perfect timing. I have a 2-car garage as my shop as well so this really was helpful. I got extremely frustrated this weekend when I was tripping over crap and it started to put doubt in my head about what I was doing with all the equipment. I had to take a break and realize that's not the problem, organization was. I'm a fairly organized person but having a few projects going on at the same time caused a mess in the shop and thus caused the frustration.
Wow, as the SmallWorkshopGuy, I can tell you that is my dream workshop. Now if I can just figure out how to double my garage - not going to happen, so this will continue to have to be my “dream” workshop!
Word of advice on the bandsaw carbide blade. I have the exact same bandsaw and the first carbide blade I bought was a 1” x 133” I assume that one is 133”. Anyway I found that the one inch blade didn’t give me enough adjustment. I dropped down to a 3/4” carbide blade and got way better results. Being able to rock the blade back on the tire makes a difference. Have a good one
Great shop layout exactly the same size as mine and this is what I am modeling my current shop build from well that and yours jay keep the great content coming sir
Limited "Right On" s from Jay... I'm proud of you buddy. In all seriousness these are some of my favorite videos. Love seeing other shop layouts and grabbing ideas. Keep em coming brother.
He may want to look into TMAX ROLL UPS for the garage door, they’re out of Houston. Basically removes all the upper tracks and gives you more wall and ceiling room. I had mine installed today and wow what a difference. Great doors!!!
At first I was like Dustin Evans, how does Jay know him. Different Dustin Evans. The one I know is here in Denver and is a factory driver for Team Associated RC cars. Nice shop.
Great video! Love seeing these shop tours, lots of good ideas and inspirations for my own shop. I really appreciate the advice about what is really liked, and what you'd suggest doing differently--this is really valuable wisdom. But how in the world is that shop so clean! :)
Great presentation, Jay...and thank you, Dustin, for sharing your shop with us. I couldn't figure out what the Festool under the woodworker's bench is. Can anyone tell me? Thanks....
Dustin, I really like the box that was shown at the end of the video. You wouldn't happen to have plans for that would you? I am very new to woodworking so I need plans in order to make anything. Thanks. Nice shop by the way.
Great shop tour! Question - on the outfield slash work table, how is the hardboard attached and what is underneath? How do people typically attach? I made one with hardboard on top plywood and the hardboard isn't flat but wavy
WorksInTheory the hardboard is just screwed into the MDF torsion box, allowing it to be replaced. It was a little wavy in the beginning but has flattened out well.
Hey, Jay great shop tour. Just wanted to let you know that I am noticing some banding on the video really notice it on the white walls, might want to bump up/down your shutter speed to correct that.
Really appreciate the shop tours. Great to see how others arrange things. Dustin I am really anal and try to stay very organized but you may be my match. Beautiful shop. How do you keep the cast tops looking so brand new?
Wow. A lot of money has been spent on that shop! Very impressive though. I have a 1 car garage but trying to fit the same kid of tools in it (But smaller and cheaper ones). Lol
Great shop tour video. I like the carabiner on the bandsaw blade. Great visual reminder that there’s a blade there.
Thanks Dustin for the tour and Jay for taking the time to introduce us to Dustin !
Shop videos are the best! Great way to use this second channel.

Congrats on a great shop Dustin. Thank you for sharing Jay. Dustin, you do beautiful work.
Really like these shop tours to look how others have layout of their shops for ideas and information. And hat’s off Dustin incredible craftsmanship.
I went to school with this guy. Pretty cool to see him so big into this. Hopefully one day I can do this as well.

"Well equipped" is putting it mildly! That's a lot of money in that shop! Good on him for building it up to this point!

He's like a guy that was in the military or police force.
Have always admired Dustin’s shop. Glad to finally get a tour. Great job boys!
Great shop tour Jay. I picked up a few ideas.
Very inspiring, I picked up some great ideas and you convinced me on skipping the floor sweep ;) Nice shop Dustin !
Limited "Right On" s from Jay... I'm proud of you buddy. In all seriousness these are some of my favorite videos. Love seeing other shop layouts and grabbing ideas. Keep em coming brother.
Nice tour. Man hit me up next time you are in Dallas. You are welcome at our shop anytime.
He may want to look into TMAX ROLL UPS for the garage door, they’re out of Houston. Basically removes all the upper tracks and gives you more wall and ceiling room. I had mine installed today and wow what a difference. Great doors!!!
Awesome shop tour! What I can’t figure out is where everybody keeps their finishing supplies!
At first I was like Dustin Evans, how does Jay know him. Different Dustin Evans. The one I know is here in Denver and is a factory driver for Team Associated RC cars. Nice shop.

It would be nice to see an overhead plan of his great shop in SketchUp!
Great shop brother as some beautiful work as well.
I noticed a couple of thumbs down and I am going to believe that they are the electrical police lol
Nice shop.
Great tour! 😃👍🏻👊🏻 #teamspindlesander
Great shop, Dustin. I noticed you had a carbine clip around your bandsaw's blade; is there a reason for that?
Great presentation, Jay...and thank you, Dustin, for sharing your shop with us.
I couldn't figure out what the Festool under the woodworker's bench is. Can anyone tell me? Thanks....
dust extractor....fancy shop vac
John Manning the systainers under the workbench are for sandpaper
Dustin, I really like the box that was shown at the end of the video. You wouldn't happen to have plans for that would you? I am very new to woodworking so I need plans in order to make anything. Thanks. Nice shop by the way.
befmx31 I did use plans for that. I’m fairly certain I got them from woodsmithplans but I’m not seeing it in their catalogue?
Great shop tour! Question - on the outfield slash work table, how is the hardboard attached and what is underneath? How do people typically attach? I made one with hardboard on top plywood and the hardboard isn't flat but wavy
WorksInTheory the hardboard is just screwed into the MDF torsion box, allowing it to be replaced. It was a little wavy in the beginning but has flattened out well.
@@DustinE610 thanks. I found screwing in mushroomed the hardboard and no longer making it smooth and flat rougher.
Hey, Jay great shop tour. Just wanted to let you know that I am noticing some banding on the video really notice it on the white walls, might want to bump up/down your shutter speed to correct that.

just realize you live not too far from me! Haven't seen much on the instagram lately
Great shop! Do you have links to the outfeed/assembly table and miter saw station?
Super clean. cut the bottom of the rack off and use the space for plywood.
Dustin should ask garage door guys if they can raise the track, i have 9foot ceiling, 8foot door and the track is at the drywall by the end
Great walk-through. Oh, the envy :-) Obviously a lot og JET there. Thinking about going JET myself - should I ?
Great use of space, well organized! A little too clean for a lot of work to be going on...lol
Joking, nice shop!!
That guy has great eyebrows!!
Getting ideas!
hey who did that bronze mallet? i couldnt understand when you mentioned it!
Nice shop setup. Same size as mine but good lord I've got too much tools. Lol
No such thing boss. Go buy more!
@@joeymerrell8585 I would love to but no more room. My enclosed car hauler houses some of it. I call it my overflow.
I was gifted a very similar morticing machine, but mine was missing all of the bit attachments and I have no clue where to get them.

Wow. A lot of money has been spent on that shop! Very impressive though. I have a 1 car garage but trying to fit the same kid of tools in it (But smaller and cheaper ones). Lol
Okay I’m moving in
Summers Woodworking we’re selling the house so come on with it! Lol
You need to part ways with the old stuff if you’re not using them. I’ll gladly take any of them off your hands :)
With your router table on wheels, do you find it to move? I have locking casters too but I am considering going back to static feet.
Eric Dommer I’ve never noticed it move. The casters lock both swivel and wheel.
Jay, Does Dustin have plans for his outfield table? Thanks.
At first glance, I thought this was Jay's garage shop. It must have been the miter saw and working table placement.
where do I buy the quick connect for the planer you have ?
What size is your Table ,one with the wood vise
What type of mobile base is on that jointer?
Nice
What size is your garage?
52" guides would be great if you used one side as a router table.
I subbed for the Mickey picture, not the frame.
Size garage in m2?
Does Dustin have a UA-cam channel?
Papa Steve I do not! There’s just not enough time!
Dustin Evans Yes sir, I certainly understand not having enough time
You’re making some nice things and I really like your set up in your shop.
Where may I find that Mickey Mouse canvas in 0:05?
Six figure shop?
Miter saw lazer was on......
I regognize the ply board on the mitre saw station , is it the one where it don’t need sanding
I uh..... um..... uhhhh ....ummmm.....like it.
toys, toys, toys. lots of wasted money here.
I meant son
(i mean it as a compliment)
