  • It’s no secret that Danica Patrick had some horrible hits throughout her almost decade long NASCAR Career. Today, we’re going to take at the hardest crashes she had. Important note that this is not a hate video by any means, most of these wrecks were not even her fault, but it is wild to think of all of the big wrecks she was involved in.
Welcome back to another video! Thank you for watching and make sure you subscribe!

Even though she is a natural IndyCar driver by trade, her best chance at succeeding in nascar was with JRM. Despite her wrecks, her 2011 and 2012 nationwide seasons were, in my opinion, her best performances in her entire nascar career. Her 1 top 5 and 7 top 10s might not look too great, but she was steadily building up consistent top 15 finishes from the middle to the end of her 2012 season, thanks largely in part to her guidance from Tony Eury Jr and Ryan Pemberton. Not to mention, she had two races where she should’ve won (2011 Daytona where she was leading before Joey Logano booted her and she finished 10th, and 2012 Montreal).
Say what you will about her Cup career, where she was arguably rushed up too early, but she was starting to find her footing in Nationwide competition with JRM in 2012. Had she stayed on for at least another season or two, she might’ve had a better end to her career.

I agree with you, I am a big DP fan and I dislike it when people often blame her for her lackluster career

If she had stayed in XFinity she potentially would've lucked her way into a win.

Danica Crash-rick. Seriously, no one was in more wrecks in one short career than her- and yes, many of them not her doing.
One excellent thing she taught many others to do was to release the steering wheel during a crash. It has saved many a broken wrist.

Had they not implemented the HANS device or SAFER barrier, she would’ve been severely injured or died in either the 2016 Geico 500 or the 2017 spring Kansas race. Don’t make fun of her for crashing, be glad those crashes weren’t in the worst case scenario and Nascar is safer now

I still don’t really get the point of drivers facing backlash for being “ignorant” towards drivers who had a “harder wreck”
It’s one thing if it was an intentional wreck and a driver just doesn’t care about the other, but a completely separate thing if a driver in a massive multi car accident didn’t notice how bad another driver had it.
For this example in particular, from Danica’s onboard, you couldn’t even see Almirola, only a quick flash of car as he demolished Logano. Secondly, drivers in that scenario usually don’t know the conditions of each other post wreck, especially if they are taken straight to the infield care center right after.
I’m not saying some drivers shouldn’t get flack for it, but sometimes it’s just stupid to try and pin that on someone when they don’t know that another driver might be hurt. Especially in that mid-2010s era, where there was a definite lack of injuries in the Cup Series (aside from Jr’s on and off concussions), drivers just didn’t know the risks when guys like Austin Dillion, Chris Buescher, and Kyle Larson would walk out of ridiculous wrecks unscathed. 2016 Kansas reminded everyone.

It sort pisses me off when they call her a race car driver she should have been a demolition derby driver the only thing I can give her she wasn’t afraid to go fast it would probably be a staggering figure in dollar amount of equipment she destroyed she would have probably finished first in this category
