Frederick Peak, or Freds, is a spectacular summit in the Townsville area and part of the larger collection of geologic features referred to as "The Pinnacles" (AllTrails 2024).
Freds coordinates: 19°23'08"S 146°38'21"E
ROCK CLIMBING
Climbing of all types (top rope, easy, hard, trad, sport, single and multi-pitch) in a very adventurous and remote-feeling location, despite its relatively easy access from nearby Townsville. The Bird of choice - DJI FPV (OEM hardware; DH w.FW:01.02.0000).
Goggles V2 OEM antennae are brilliant and work just as well (better) for long-range, unimpeded LOS flights.

Beautiful scenery!
The greenery looks so lush but it is Townsville - the ground cover is extremely rugged. It’s usually brown but this shot was taken during the wet season.
Great video, I usually get transmission problems when I'm near powerlines.
Not sure why I don’t. This shot was from the dji fpv but I’d assume all dji (non rtk) would be the same?
