    so i’m 14 seconds in and i can’t help but to notice the sign...”schools more segregated today than ever!” first of all i would like to claim that highly factually incorrect. and second of all i would like you to specify what you are talking about. forced segregation is illegal and has been illegal since brown vs board of education in 1954 (not to mention that was specifically schools not any other public area, which proves my point even more given the sign is referring to schools in the video). so no, schools are not segregated (at least forced to be segregated) nor is any other place in the country bc you would get arrested. now there is another word in our country’s vocabulary known as “self-segregation.” self segregation is the act of voluntarily segregating. this means if you go to a place such as chicago, illinois, there will be more blacks there than in a suburb in Vermont. this is self segregation. nobody forced blacks into black neighborhoods and nobody forced whites into Vermont. Vermont just happens to have the highest white population and cities seem to be most racially diverse especially with african americans. so if you are talking about forced segregation when referring to that sign, that is incorrect and just straight up illegal. while if you are talking about self segregation that’s not illegal that’s just incorrect given before the civil rights movement there wasn’t one school that was mixed.

    Institutional racism is real. We have racist laws that make it easier to get jobs and education based purely on color of skin. We have racist policies that promote lesser-qualified individuals over better candidates simply based on them being a certain shade on their epidermis. We have lowered many, many hurdles in order to allow the underqualified to have a chance at the expense of those more deserving. And for what? In the hopes that the lucky underqualified person would use that opportunity as a blessing and not abuse it as a birthright?

    Techniques for Revealing Racism:
    1. Naming: explicitly mentioning race by name--using words such as “racism,” “racial inequality,” “racial discrimination,” “racial bias,” etc. --so that racism gets acknowledged and addressed.
    2. Framing: using a racial frame to describe an issue--e.g. “racial profiling,” “environmental racism,” “transit racism,” “racial redlining,” etc.--so that institutional accountability and policy change becomes a central focus of the debate.
    3. Explaining: making the existence of racism easily understandable and believable by:
    • Using concrete evidence,
    • Pointing out patterns, connections and causes
    • Placing the focus of attention on institutions
    • Appealing to people’s core values of moral fairness and moral decency
    • Borrowing legitimacy and moral authority from respected sources
    • Using irrefutable personal stories to illustrate systemic patterns, etc.

      and about schools in my area, the school zone for high schools align very well with economic standing and ethnic group, these zones have over a dozen squared miles of housing.
      whos behind this? the boogey man? id say its just cultural division which most people are too scared to break, general integration as well as the welfare state.
      im saying that its a bad idea to not look at the effects of taxes on education, im sure youd agree that anyone would say the public schooling in general is subpar.
      and about being racist, anthropology describes it as a genetic, social and enviornmental problem. now, this is the controvertial point. suppose there are inferior groups of people, how is their standing elevated? would people admit to a harsh reality? look at the statistics in government websites about iq and ethnicity, of course its ugly when people are living different lives. ashkenazi jews exist, genetics makes the low end and high end, people see it in the back of their mind and act upon it cmon, trump is the fucking prez!!

      direction by breaking the law and participating in socially unacceptable things (think of becoming the next good president). take for example the recent violent, law breaking riots and peaceful protests, there are all kinds of shitters all over and that is not what we should want, it does not help that they are concentrated in a specific group that according to the news: nobody in politics wants to effectively help. additionally, who ever said an institution has to be official or with deliberate concent? social groups are their own crazy, evolving thing, they give simple products like statistic, poll outcomes, and social group isolation.
      i saw the video again, i remmember laughing the fist time i saw it thinking of the awful terms it used while being vague, not to mention that it looked at the social problem the wrong way. "institutional racism" is more like the gov not treating everyone equally, how could it?

    Racism in America is similar to apartheid in South Africa, it is right in your face. There is a preacher I know of who said he would rather go to hell than go to heaven with white people. This is a tragedy for a preacher to be able to say that and mean it. This book unravels the mystery of the joint hatred of the Nation’s against black people. This is not a new thing you can see it in Psalm 83 they are still upholding this agreement they made amongst themselves today, so we understand Hebrew Israelites doctrine, but it is still wrong, and we will not subscribe to it. Neither do we subscribe to the resurrecting of the law given to Moses. The children of Israel were not able to keep the laws when they had it then, it is ridiculous for anyone to think they can actually still manage to keep all those laws now. They cannot, and they deceive themselves and others pretending they can. The apostle Paul explains it best in Romans Chapter @ to 25 he is speaking of the difficulty of the law because of the pre-existing law of sin already in his body. It is the being baptized into Christ the anointed one that destroys the law of sin and brings change. Hebrews Chapter 7: 11,12, 21 & 22 speaks of Jesus being the more excellent way, Romans Chapter 8 He is the fulfillment of Old Testament Writings everything clearly points directly straight to him. In Mathew Chapter 11:28 Jesus said “come unto me all who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” Jesus Christ is the new sabbath! He is everything and everything is in him, (Selah)
    Our father who art in heaven is not Jesus’s prayer Jesus’s prayer is St John Chapter 17 the apostolic doctrine derives from verse:20 - (do read well) Yes, we know Jesus is not his real Hebrew name Deuteronomy 28 speaks of calamity and disaster that would happen to the people, slavery caused changing of language, names, and everything. What we know as Hebrew language today is not the same Hebrew our forefathers spoke that is gone, now we have to accept the Hebrew Esau has presented to us as we do not know any better. At this point you should already understand from the previous pages how, and why everything has been the way it is, that is why this book is such a magnificent tool that everybody needs, also the reason we had such a hard fight and push back from the powers that be trying to stop us getting this book out to the public. Nothing is new, they used to burn bibles, they used to burn people. As we get closer towards the tribulation, we shall all see for ourselves who the true remnant is. Those of us who are in Christ according to the written word, will operate in the supernatural as the early disciples and apostles did in the New Testament www.hush-hushtruth.com

      Not at all, Jaidyn. The better schools with increased student attendance means they can build more classrooms with the extra money they're receiving from more students. And, the 'failing' schools would have to improve their situation so as to retain, or maybe even draw back students who left. It's competition. Competition encourages teachers and administrators to improve their service to kids. I know it's hard to go from a non-competitive to competitive environment--I'm a teacher--but everyone wins in the end: students get better schooling, teachers and administrators become better at serving students. There's nothing wrong with upping standards.

      @Charles roecker IV that still leaves overcrowding. Also, the rich schools become richer and the poor schools become poorer because the students would be leaving to the other schools. Given that, how would the poorer schools be able to improve? They wouldn’t have the funds. And you can’t just say “Well they’ll bring back the students who didn’t show up so they get their money back.” because most of those kids who aren’t going don’t care for school.

      @@jaidynluna3343 If you're defining overcrowding as a school congested with kids, then those successful districts can build more schools to accommodate them. Now, could that successful school district be considered 'rich'? Sure, but with school vouchers a kid in a 'poor' area can receive the same education as kids in a wealthier area. As for improving 'poor' schools, there's a difficult but vital solution that must be implemented: strict but fair school discipline. Kids that constantly choose to misbehave, despite receiving chance after chance to improve behavior, must be suspended and, if still not changing their behavior, expelled. They are destroying the learning environment for everyone, and that's why 'poor' schools keep failing. I feel that many administrators wish to 'save' every child, and make schools a daycare, not a place of learning. This is a noble idea, but it ignores the fact that children may still choose to make bad decisions, and as long as they're allowed to disrupt learning and ruin their classmates chances of a good education, the school will always fail. I worked for a school many years ago where one of my students brought in a bag of drugs to sell. He was caught, but was given only one day of suspension instead of being sent to juvey, and he was back the next week destroying the classroom learning. That school was a 'poor' school in administration. Students must have a choice to escape that environment, and vouchers are the answer.

      @Charles roecker IV I think you’re still missing the point that they won’t be able to become better schools. All the poorer kids will start going to richer schools. Leaving the poorer schools practically empty. (Meaning they won’t get funds) I also have almost no faith in possibilities. I’m tired of irresponsible parents and they won’t change for their kid’s future because they don’t care. My mom straight up got mad at me for doing bad in classes then cut off my WiFi on another day because it was “family movie night” but I needed to do my geometry homework. I know I’m not the only one with parents like this. I’m not in a poor school either, but it still happens.

    Love all the white folks telling people of color that they don't experience racism. That's absolutely lovely.
    If you're looking for examples of institutional racism in school and society: black students are more likely to face disciplinary consequences for behavior being exhibited by white students in the same classroom. Black males and females are more likely to be stopped by the police for similar behavior in society. The default person in society is depicted as white. We see it in movies, ads, as this student says, in the books in her library. Any book or movie featuring a protagonist of a different skin color is seen as "special" or an ethnic book. Ethnic characters in movies are almost always side characters to the white male or female protagonist. People with black sounding last names are less likely to receive call backs on their resumes when identical resumes with white-sounding last names are sent to the same company. And probably the best evidence for institutional racism? Look at all of the comments on this video. Look at white people's reaction to Obama being elected. Look at what happened after Trump was elected: "You will not replace us." Look at the vehemence targeted at this black little girl by white men when she brings up a real problem that she is facing.
    It's pretty obvious to anyone who lives their life in a different skin color. Just because you were born with privilege and refuse to admit it doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. Get over yourself please, and stop telling others that they're not experiencing what they're actually experiencing, because you aren't living their life.

      let me ask you this why should someone be accepted into a school just because of skin color instead of merit? and this happens quite regularly at least in the California school system. Ive seen multiple occasions where someone who was more qualified and had better overall grades get denied in order to reach some race quota so that schools can pat themselves on the back and say "Yay we're not racist." This can be seen even as high up as medical schools where less qualified blacks or hispanics where chosen with an 80% acceptance rate over whites or other ethnic competitors when the overall acceptance rate was only 30%. if this selection is based on merit then why is their such a difference reflected in the actual medical community, and why is their GPA and MCAT scores noticeably lower? Yes there are zoning laws for schools (primary schools by the way not universities) but that's to prevent schools from getting over crowded, if everyone could send their kid to the best school they would and there's no way said school could handle such an influx of students. with too many students and not enough staff no student would get the desired or proper education. Btw I'm not white I'm asian

    • @chuckfaber7521
      @chuckfaber7521 6 років тому

      "this happens quite regularly at least in the California school system"
      That actually doesn't happen by LAW in the California system, and pretty much ONLY in the California system. Public Universities in California are not allowed to consider race during admissions. This isn't true of most other states, so it's kind of interesting that you chose pretty much the only example where you are precisely wrong. That's why California public Universities have far more Asians by percentage at them than at places like Harvard or Yale where it is harder for members of certain races (like Asians) to be accepted (they have to have on average a higher GPA than all other races to even be considered).
      This still has nothing to do with what the girl is experiencing and everything to do with a larger discussion about the effectiveness and validity of Affirmative Action, which is based more on looking for a solution for cyclical poverty. I personally think AA is promoting different forms of racism as you've described, but it doesn't invalidate the arguments put forth in this video.

    • @mitcht7462
      @mitcht7462 6 років тому +4

      California has a lot of Asian immigrants, which are all their own different cultures and peoples by the way. So it would make sense you see a higher concentration of Asian studentss in those schools. Are you insinuating that that's a bad thing? Also I'm just stating facts, I highly doubt all these Asian get into college because they had books about Asians in the library. You should be able to find inspection in humanity, it doesn't matter your race or gender. Just because your an Indian woman doesn't mean Charles Dickenson or John Locke can't be you Heros or inspection just because they were white men. And yes a lot of those schools need more funding, but not to buy a bunch of books to make people feel validated. They should be buying books that will educate the best, and higher more teaching staff possibly raise teaching salary in order to create higher demand for teacher. I want solutions, not opinions.

    • @chuckfaber7521
      @chuckfaber7521 6 років тому

      Wrong. It's not just about Asian immigrants. It's in the law in California whereas colleges in other states are actively allowed to discriminate against Asians in their admittance processes. See: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California_Proposition_209
      The problem is not that students can't relate to white protagonists or writers. The problem is that ALL of the protagonists and writers are white, and very little attempt is made at equal representation. As we live in a multicultural society, various races should also be represented in the learning materials our students consume. The quality writing from white writers isn't necessarily better than the quality of writing from writers of other cultures, yet we only teach texts from white writers in most cases. The inherent statement that is that the only history and culture that matters in the grand scheme of things is white European history and culture. Hence people of color are justly placed in secondary roles in our histories and stories.
      Also the cost of purchasing books to represent a wider set of cultures is nearly nothing compared to the other costs of running a school, or the amount of money we spend on other things such as bureaucracy, military spending, or legislation and campaigning.

      Chuck Faber: They don't say that black people don't experience racism. Racism exists for all races. But, as David Webb said, trying to rid our planet of racism is as possible as ridding the planet of germs.
      The point is that while racism exists, there are other factors that are overlooked by the race-hustlers that depend on black grievances to stay in power and soaked with cash. Single-parent families. Protecting criminals while interfering with law enforcement. Culture that removes the need for a man to parent his child and a woman that needs to break her dependency on the State. Most inner cities are run by blacks and Democrats. They have run them for 50+ years. And, while Corrinne Brown stole government funds for education, she was screaming that 'whitey' was out to get her.
      Institutional racism is simply a black, shapeless, intangible fog used to keep anything from getting fixed. It is the proverbial 'staple jello to a tree'. It won't stick, which is what the race-hustlers and race profiteering requires to ensure a long stream of new dollars.
