Just purchased one, did not have enough room to add a bluetooth/ wifi card onto my motherboard and this seems like a solid cheap solution, although performance may not be the best compared to an onboard card, for the price it is amazing!!
Did me MSI build now. what a Nightmare it was. unstable as heck. internet on than none at all. RAM put to XMP 1. MB says no XMP 2. even when it has. first only 4266 than it goes back to 2666. this MSI MB can do 5333mhz. it says. but does not. and so on with alot of problems. hope it will stay stable now. And first now you show this !!! me MSI MB has Wifi 6 & Bluetooth 5.2. But this is a nice way to get it. Thank Mike 👍 Mike's Unboxing & Review & How to is Worthy of a Support comment. Like & a share 🙂
the memory controller is in the processor so the board is able to handle pretty much anything, the real limiting factor is the silicon quality of the CPU
Hey , i got the same one, and it worked for the first 15 minutes and then just stopped. Do you have any idea why this could have happened? My dad thinks that taking it out made it break
it is possible it was fragile and removing it broke it. try it in another port and see if it works, if not i would try and return it if the led doesn't come on or show in device manager
Hi Mike, I'm looking to replace my wifi dongle with this one. I've purchased 2 tp link ones in under 2 months. Seem to be really temperamental. What is the signal like for you with this one? Cheers!
Hi, my router is upstairs and tv is downstairs in living room.. wi fi is sometimes weak.. is there solution or some sort wi fi buster/adapter that i can connect to tv to have better reception?? Thanks
it might do but it depends if the icon is supposed to be there, if your motherboard has wifi built in it should show if the drivers for it are installed
I have a ''Realtek RTL8188FTV Wireless LAN 802.11n USB 2.0 Network Adapter'' does it supports bluetooth? I plugged the dongle but it doesn't bring up the bluetooth option

@@mikesunboxing Thanks for the suggestion, my only concern really is signal and speeds. I dont mind paying more to get a decent mb/s transfer to be honest. I thought a good PCle might be better reception because of the extra antennas. Even considering an ethernet powerline adaptor, but again im not sure on the speeds. An extension cable from my NBN port would need to run under a door into another room and circle back around. Its the only reason I dont run ethernet directly.

yes it is if it is a hardware problem
any difference in competitive gaming between wifi 6 and 5
not really, more the speed rather than latency, your router will have more impact than the dongle

WPA2 mixed and SBC ACC
