Brother Larry Graham and his Graham Central Station are pure funkadelic group and their classic including Feel the Need in Me forty seven years ago pure funk classic.
One of my favorite songs is Feel the need all their albums were awesome funk Larry's a GOD send he was made for this .. and a very rich voice the father of slap Stanley Clarke was slapping it right after I heard Larry ...the feel so many great songs two gifted musicians songwriters and performers him and Sly ...the gift that keeps on giving👍👍👍👍👍👍♥️💯💯💯💯🇺🇲
It hurts me worst how music has changed in the last 40 years to mostly sampling something because of the lack of musical skills,,,that’s why most end up as One Hit Wonders,,,,,
He"s a BAAADD MAN the best ever I always thought he was the funk he helped spread the funk ....loved him with Sly but ....the machine GCS came along .....WOW ...owned all albums ....wore them out thank GOD for giving us Larry the gift that keeps on giving
As long as 30 or 35 years ago Larry Ghram, at one time called the Captail Center ooh my he blew our minds showing up Sly who never show up he gad some bad ass concerts every time never disappointed

Great question, and don’t forget Butch on that Hammond B4,, that was a a great team musically speaking,, my feet used to hurt after that concert, and I was 17 maybe,, , good hurt though,,,
Though I get why the idea of his mic be placed within the body of his guitar came about, it's still silly in the application and most likely a sound man's nightmare to deal with.
Silly? You're entitled to that. However I disagree vehemently. I thought the mic mounted on the bass was a genius idea and if the soundman had any problems it definitely isnt evident here! 🎸🎶🎸
@@vernonbrooks6890 ... any real sound issues besides some loud feedback caught in the audio of the clip is usually not obvious. As someone who has worked with live event sound engineers closely for over 30 years, I can attest to the fact that when someone on stage decides to get all artsy and outside the box beyond standard mic'ing techniques ... its usually a nightmare for said audio person.
@@avolite719 seen Larry quite a few times... NEVER a mic problem has been realized. Wireless set up, just like performers that wear wireless mics with no issues...
Graham is one of those musical innovators who helped take the bass from being a background instrument to one which can lead the band!!
No words could describe how great this is!!
Larry was an inspiration in the 70's. Forty years later he's still a ball of energy and producing the goods with a great band.
The Original "Bass Thumping Master ' Mr Larry Graham ❤ Bless You !!!!! Thank You for the Beautiful Music !!!
You are absolutely right.
This IS funk in all its glory. No bad vibes here. Thanks for sharing.
Still….and forever will be a legend!
I saw Larry open for Prince in New York many years ago and he had me rocking off my seat , the best opening act I've ever seen

Who knew this was Drake's uncle? With a dad that's a jazz musician as well, it kinda reminds me of Nas and Kelis' connection
and LMFAO "singers" are related to Motown Rec founder. Sometimes the next gen is just shit. I would be ashamed to be Drake's uncle
Larry Graham is Drake’s Uncle?!
More like Drake is Larry's nephew.
What this songs?
🤑🤑🤭🤭❤❤❤🤑🤑
He should get a head set mic
This what we need now brothers and sisters and white folk and black folk getting together for some funk! Preferably in front of a police station!
For You Babe
Can, you get like I can get it?
He hasn't aged a day lol
I KNOW HE KNOCKED THE SOCKS OFF THE CROWD.

This is drakes uncle
Drake's uncle, in case y'all were wondering.
If started up on guitar you would have been better than Jimmy Hendricks.
I might brake the Record for more than two standing ovations

Too much funk here.............only thing missing is Sly Stone
