Honestly the best GXV youtube video yet. Lots of old ones and a few rush through jobs with creators explaining the rigs, but really to have the builders go through them, just awesome!
Oh its a sure thing drive any of these in any country where vehicle theft or robbery is common and your chances of either being robbed and or killed go up as now you've made yourself a target.
@@aloneinthedark9860 these vehicles are so rare and huge that it makes stealing it quite difficult as you need to first hide it and then sell it in a way that cannot be traced.
Very professional work, well thought out facilities, great electrical systems with the solar panels and fully electric kitchen, aircon, pumps, winches etc. My preference is for more natural & sustainable materials although I understand the weight factor. Great work, thank you.
The list of technological & engineering improvements that are integrated into your vehicles are impressive, to say the least. It's obvious you have invested time, effort and expense into building a world class product! Best of luck to you with your TARGET audience.
The thing with a lot of these vehicles is that they are way out of the budget of most people… They are for a select few, and for that reason extremely unrealistic. You do not need a vehicle like this to travel around the world… We bought an old Mercedes van, converted it into a campervan and we’ve travelled all around the world in it. So, there will probably be thousands of people watching this video thinking we could never do this… Don’t believe the lie. Live your dream. You don’t need to be a millionaire to travel the world!
In europe you can do it with a small van, a matress and a gas cooker. Just park at long haul truck stops that are open 24/7. They usually have showers you can use for a small fee and enough parking spots to stay overnight.
I converted a 2012 Ford Transit box van to stealth camper myself with garage under the bed with room for my dirt bike motorcycle and mountain bike. When you make it yourself you get it how YOU want it at a fraction of the price of a ready made camper van.
The North American version of Unicat. Well done GXV! The K370 is a great chassis. I wish it came as a 6x6 with increased cab room. But hey, it's a beautiful and well-executed rig as it is!
biggest thing i hate about most of these is that the cab doesnt connect to the living area , these are perfect , when traveling in the middle of nowhere there may come time where you need to go from your bed to the driver seat without going outside this was something i realized when buying an rv and always something that stands out to me in alot of these other builds . im sure these cost a pretty penny but that is one of the over all most complete rigs ive ever seen

If I had something like this I probably wouldn't travel the world with it, especially the way things are right now. But I wouldn't run out of places to explore here in the USA.
Buying such a vehicle to use in the backyard would be a great waste indeed. I believe it is an exclusively American way of thinking that we in the rest of the world could not understand.
@@prefono I never said it would be a waste. The United States has a vast amount of land to explore. And what do you mean by "American" way of thinking? You know nothing about me.
@@not_sure... I don't know you and mine is not a criticism of anyone in particular. @@prefono it's a US based company, of course they're the only ones buying this. It's an overlanding rig, it's not specifically for going to other countries. My point in my original comment is that other countries are getting too dangerous to be driving around like they did back in the day. In order to get to south America, you'll have to pass through Mexico and only an idiot would do that with something like this. So if someone had the money to buy this, it is not a waste to use in the US and Canada and of course it would be Americans because this is where they're being sold. Your comment literally makes no sense and is just argumentative for no reason.
It doesn't matter what country it's made in, if you can afford it, you can afford the extra cost to have it shipped to your country. They start in the half million dollar range to well over a million.
That is a very impressive purpose driven vehicle and I like the fact that serious and dedicated people with their own experience have designed, build and customized this overlander for their customers.
I’d love to travel in one of those . A couple of years or so making friends cookouts , drinking and meeting people trying new foods ect friends . I’d party with everyone all over the World !
Make your own camper van :) That is what I did... I bought a 2012 Ford Transit box van and made it into a campervan with my mom doing most of the work while I did the planning and helped.
Loved that you saw an opening in your travels to South America and realised "where are all of the other off-road vehicles", do you have many customers making the drives down to South America in your vehicles?
I'm patiently waiting for a time when i can afford something like this and go shopping. Lots of cool options in the market at various price points. I'm a big fan of Earthcruisers and wished it comes in a 6x6. I love a cab over design, 4x4/6x6/8x8 but mileage, noise level, durability, capability must all be factored in. My little bit of research and talking to guys with rigs this large is that the larger the truck, the noisier it is to drive. Some of the military chassis rigs require headphones inside the cabin just to talk to your spouse/passenger!
Had a chance to meet this nice lady at the Overland Expo East at Charlottesville, VA in Oct 2022. First came across this couple when they were in South America on a barge for 10-days. I thought their rig at that time was awesome but chatting with her I heard a bit more back story. First, the unit didn’t have an A/C so it was miserable. Second, she had to hide while on the barge as there were 25-men/truckers and she was the only female. So, 10-days in their rig with no A/C. Their rig at the Expo was awesome but as others have said, out of the price range of most average folks. However, they are still very impressive.
It was my dream to build an expedition truck camper and although a part of me still wants to with the unrest insee around the world the plan would be to escape very remotely and to be able to park and use as a long term cabin. would need a wood stove, larger farm sink, water maker and pump, bullet proof walls and windows, small motorcycle garage/workshop at the back with ramp. They build very nice units but each person has thier own ideas and they can make them happen for most
Amazing! Finally some quality vehicles from an American company. Completely different build philosophy from other American companies in the same industry. The shown vehicles resemble in their designs the vehicles made in Europe.
Nice storage area. But noticed the water and electrical items in there does not have a door to protect the vital components. You know things move around in any storage area, no matter how well you tie down. Unplanned avoidance of accident maneuvers causes major shifts, right into those components in storage bay.
Half a million for the truck shown. I think it's a fair price for those who can afford it, but it is definitely a liability in certain places around the world. You make them bulletproof and the sales double!
For me I'd like to build something like a container shippable 4wd fuso earth cruiser, but no pop up tent but rather an expandable cabin, up and to all three sides.
this is our adventure rig and yes it still has the 1990s ford f150 steering wheel and no even though we charge well over 250,000 you still get that pos.
