- Bukit Gasing Forest Reserve is a 100 hectare stretch of green belt dividing the city of Petaling Jaya (Selangor state) from the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur.
It was a rubber plantation before it became a secondary forest. Since the park is located in both Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya, it has two main entrances, with the main entrance located in Petaling Jaya and the secondary entrance located in Kuala Lumpur. There are many hiking trails in Bukit Gasing, and difficulties depends on the hiker's energy level and desires.
It takes approximately one to two hours to hike each of the trails, and at the end of all the trails is a suspension bridge, a Telekom tower, and a Hindu temple.
The Selangor part of Bukit Gasing has officially been declared a "green lung" by the Selangor government, which means that no development works can be carried out on the reserve. However, the Kuala Lumpur part of Bukit Gasing has not been officially gazetted as a "green lung" by the Kuala Lumpur government, although former mayors of Kuala Lumpur have promised to turn the Kuala Lumpur part of Bukit Gasing into protected land. As a result, some of the Kuala Lumpur land was sold to building contractors, and new housing projects were approved by the Kuala Lumpur City Hall government over the protests of nearby residents and Friends of Bukit Gasing, a volunteer group that helps to care for the reserve. The development projects have left parts of Bukit Gasing muddy and treeless
If you are coming from KL on the Federal Highway, exit at the EPF building signposted Jalan Gasing. From Jalan Gasing turn left into Jalan Lembah 5/2. Fork right onto Jalan Tanjung 5/4. The main entrance to the park is on this street.

How long is the trail route you did, uncle? I saw you started from PJ side, but you went to Kerinchi park too then back to hanging bridge side.
It was about 2 hours, including some rest and laughters along the way.
Hi hi , may I know where is the parking place ? Thanks for the video 👍🏻
Hikers park on road sides around the vicinity of the trail head. Walk a bit if you have to. But be wary of certain side of the roads with yellow lines coz the enforcement goes regularly to issue summons.
@@KCfaith thank you for your reply . Always enjoy watching your video 😊
Thank you 🙏
I realized now that the warning on timestamp 10:43 was on "Spiders" (Labah-Labah) and not Bees (Lebah).... my eyes much be blurred with the intense hike... LOL
