Lol when I was a kid 40 odd years ago (nearer 50) my Dad used to take me up there to walk the dog in the woods We'd walk up the 9th and 8th picking up balls. Then my dad used to go into the woods on the 8th down the path about where your 1st shots landed. Meanwhile armed with my 4 wood and 5 iron and the balls I'd picked up I'd dash over to the 7th and if nobody was coming tee up and play 7,8, and 9 then if dad wasn't waiting at the car play 6,7,8 and 9 again. I actually birdied 6 a couple of times (putting with the 5 iron) and parred 9 a few times. Occasionally golfers would shout and chase me off usually as they're coming up 6 and I was going down 8 or as you walk up to 9 the guys on 6th tee would challenge you. Lost count of the times I've been running towards the woods club in each hand being chased by some guy with a driver shouting "come back here you little ba%&^rd" Good Memories
@@RealgolfWD I just started playing again 6 months ago with some second hand Callaway X12s and some Taylormade Jetspeed and RBZ woods..currently hitting high 90s. I've been up Merrow/Guildford a few times for a walk. (yes that one) I've found quite a lot of balls so I'm quite sorted for balls. I am thinking about joining Guidford next year as Bronze membership is a reasonable £850ish. Or I could do the academy (if I qualify as a new golfer) which is 10 free pro lessons free range balls and use of all the practice facilities with guest green fees for £350.
@@Lamster66 I like Guildford... I think that's great value for a membership. Especially up in that neck of the woods. I've vlogged it a couple of times. I'm a big fan
@@RealgolfWD Me too I played it a few times (green fees paid) in my teens As it was the first course I ever set foot on every other course gets compared to it. 90% of the courses I've been to aren't as well kept.. The greens are always very good at Guildford. It's one of those courses that look easy but relatively easy to end up in a world of trouble when it bites you for getting over ambitious. Fairway is key there as everything else is either woods or gorse and lost or virtually unplayable.
You have 2 of the main stars of the channel Ollie and Sam (no offence to Andy) and you only vlog your self😲. What happened you couldn't afford their appearance fees🍻🍻😁. So I take it you have had time to work in the new driver swing
Haha.. there fees are definitely going up. Lol. I just wanted a stress free, not worry about rushing around the course day with my buddies. Lol. The solo vlogs are easy and quick to film... I have got matches planned in with both of them in the near future tho.. just need some better weather.. we are struggling big time in the UK. I do feel a 3 ball match with those 2 could be entertaining tho. Lol
Newbury and crookham? I will get in touch with them again. They weren't up for it last year annoyingly.. maybe I'll just go and film without permission. Lol

Bit rusty. Not surprising considering the weather we have had. If it makes you feel better I had an 86 yesterday on a par 69. I was froze!
