I walked down the aisle to this piece of music
The ethereal glory of late Middle Baroque is emotionally so overpowering and captivating !
How is it possible that people sill listen to the classical noise of the 19th century, even today?
Fans of Eurovision will be familiar with this piece...
Especially the opening and closing idents 💀💀💀💀
Come suona l'organo Scott non c'è nessuno. Ogni pezzo che suona trasmette sentimento!!!! Grazie Scott
Hallo!
Jeh the Eurovision tune!
It sounds Great!!!.
Beautiful Organ there!
Thanks for sharing.
With Love from the Netherlands.
Gracias!!❤💖
Love to Spain !
And what a giant Organ... it sounds wonderful...
@@MiguelAngel-uh5og 😇Gracias !
Lovely playing and lovely organ and amazingly for a Spanish organ it’s in tune
The architecture of the organ is very elegant. Always good to hear this song. Congratulations Jonathan and Tom. Thank you for giving us this Sunday with a beautiful video. 😘😉
The design of the organ case was to match the design of the huge historic gold altarpiece at the other end of the cathedral.
@@epincion Here in Brazil we have a Grenzing organ installed in the Evangelical Presbyterian Cathedral of São Paulo. Grenzing himself came to accompany the installation. There was already another older organ in the place and now there is this one, the Grenzing. Both played in services. Wonderful! 🥰
Superb what an instrument and a fantastic cathedral wonderful sound
THRILLING! Tears and goosebumps! Everything (!) about this IS GLORIOUS!!! Thank you!
Wow perfectly timed at the very early beginning of spring on the Northern Hemisphere of Earth, especially in Europe too ... Thank You for good hope for us we need to, by the way petfectly played as always at a very, very suitable mighty instrument in the highly beautiful south of our Unity.
Dear Scott brothers, I've been a silent fan for years now, so I owe you a comment but I'm afraid I can't find the words to describe the brilliance of your art. I've known you since your rendition of Saint-Saëns' Finale, now my French pride is tingling again with Marc-Antoine Charpentier's prelude. Jonathan's playing always gives grandeur and elegance to already great musical pieces. So beautifully played. A new video from you both is always a treat. Many thanks.
Well said.... I too am a grateful fan... and it only gets better.... You can purchase their musical scores if you play.... and that.... is a goldmine for an organist....
Love it. Beautifully played and video taped. Please never stop. Many thanks.
WOW ,What A Wonderful Full Sound 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰👏👏👏👏
By far mankinds greatest musical achievement.....made all the more wonderful by John!!
I was expecting to hear all of the movements , absolutely lovely🥰🥰🥰
🥰💐🌹Thank you so much Jonahan Scott 👍✌That's perfect & Awesome job🎹🎶🎵 ❤💯👏🥂
Maybe the most beautiful organ ever! Great playing on this magnificent instrument.
It is a beautiful facade for a modern organ - its design takes its inspiration from a historic huge gold altarpiece situated at the other end of the nave.
Beautiful music and video. Thank you❤❤
Wow! I would be so grateful for even a small fraction of that skill and talent. Beautiful.
Beautiful!!
What a truly colossal sound.
Everything that is shared with the many fans of the Scott brothers is an enormous gift. My ears are so happy! Thanks a billion!🎶
Absolutely grand - the piece, the performance, & the instrument!👏👏👏👏👏 A favorite. Thanks for sharing. A grand video, too! 💐💐🎹🎶
What a majestic sound is produced on that organ in that grand space.
Stunning!
Wonderful Jonathan!😁👏👏👏👏
A spectacularly beautiful instrument. Great to hear this piece on a bombastic Spanish organ.
Great music and amazing player !
That was AWESOME! 🤩
The entire Charpentier TE DEUM is one of my favourite liturgical pieces: but it is always good to hear the Prelude. Thank you for this post.
Wow! This is as good as it gets.
One of my favorite songs :)
Absolutely beautifully played. Thank you!
Great registered and played!
Lindo, maravilhoso! Deve ter sido fantástico assistir essa apresentação! Obrigada a vocês dois por tudo!
A glorious and beautiful selection! Thank you Jonathan and Tom.
Such beautiful playing, recording and filming. You boys are magical.
Thank you Scott brothers for another perfect performance and thanks also for sharing here on UA-cam! Have a great day!
What a lovely surprise!! Great to hear your version of this & what a beautiful organ case!! How wonderful to be able to meet the creator of this fabulous instrument & have a guided tour also - lucky you!
Always amazing ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
What masterly playing and magnificent sound (8 seconds reverb!). Thank you, both.
Beautiful piece of music! And well Played! 🥇💯
A work well-done
This is fantastic
SUPER:):) KÖSZÖNÖM SZÉPEN !
Yet another magnificent instrument to add to your collection. Altogether magnificent especially the concluding reeds. Chamade?
Beautifully played and I appreciate the design of the organ. First impression Art Deco. Open to another answer from anyone who is knowledgeable of this design, thank you.
As to the design of the organ facade it’s meant to be a modern reflection or interpretation of the Altar to the Virgin of Almudena (patron saint of Madrid) a glorious gold edifice which dates from the 16th century and is situated in a chapel at the other end of the cathedral.
If you read the Wikipedia entry on Almudena Cathedral it has a picture of this altar and you can easily see the inspiration for the design and colours of the organ facade.
The cathedral itself was started in 1883 but only finally finished in 1993 and as a result is in a variety of styles ranging from new-gothic to pop art.
@@epincion Thank you for the information. You have encouraged me to delve into you reply much deeper. Greatly appreciated.
My cousin’s buddy met a girl in Madrid on leave and married and located there after being mustered out of the Navy in the 60s. Many letters, pictures and expensive phone calls we old timers recollect. I’ll have to double check on this cathedral.
I once saw Madrid on the map.... many years later never went back...
This cathedral is newish compared to the rest of Madrids buildings.
👏👏👏👏👏
wonderful performance ! and very bright chamades !
I was about to start to work this piece just before you post it !
Thanks
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
this is a masterpiece!
Magnificent
Beautiful playing.
Maestoso
Great performance!
I love this music 😊
What a fantastic sound!!
So this is the tune from TV ;-)
Càtedral de la Almudena 🙏💕❤️
A pity that I couldn't attend Jonathan's concert at Madrid Auditorium .. but this recording is really awesome and shows the quality of this Grenzing organ and the great acoustics of Madrid's Cathedral. And it is curious (sad) that till Jonathan's performance there was hardly any decent organ recording at Madrid's Cathedral on UA-cam.
Moc hezké.
Just one thing to say: Beautiful! 👏💖🙏
Beautiful ❤️ it it has harpsichord quality from where I am sitting very tinny Lol Ms Dee
¡¡Enhorabuena maestro!!.
If I was ever to be married again this is what I'd like to go up the aisle to. If I'd known it before it's what I would have chosen.
Amazing sound🍃Beautiful played🍃
❤️
Hello Jonathan, I enjoyed your excellent performance on this marvelous and majestic instrument! Regards, Will Ortiz
Enjoyable.
An interesting thing about Spanish organs: often stop pitches are not listed in feet but hands, where 8' = 13 hands, 16' = 26 hands, 32' = 52 hands, and so forth.
Absolutely delightful. Would love to see you playing this on the organ of Versailles. Vive le Roy!
Wow was a massiv batterie from reeds
😊😊❤❤
Well it finally happened Pierre Bardon has finally been out done! And by our very own Jonathan! WOW
Where can i find this piece played by Bardon at st-maximin ?
There is a recording by Fréderic Deschamps at Albi organ, France !
Greeting from Marruecos
@@nizaru100 I KNOW I have a CD with that work on it but after a diligent search this morning I couldn't find it. If memory serves it was one of those music anthology CDs like "The rage of 1719" or "Baroque Organ and Brass" something like that. I know your frustration. I'm a big fan of Sweelinck and years and years ago I had a VOXBOX CD with Franz Lehrndorfer playing this work at the Kaiser Memorial church in Potsdam--it is the BEST I have ever heard and it is lost forever. Sorry
@@petejungen1636 Thanks for your reply, oh but no worries I'm not that frustrated.
Well, before i knew google video in 2005, (i was 21), i always had hard time to find video, audio or even documentation about pipe organ, except some shot reportages on TV Satellite Channels (Diane Bish, & somme educational cultural programmes , Illustrated Dictionnaries). As in Morocco there is no such thing as Organ Music. Now, even whith Internet, Why is difficult to find the book "Art de la facture d'orgue" of Dom Bedos for example ?
@@nizaru100 Don't worry my friend you are way ahead of the game. I was 12 in 1973 and Christmas that year was my introduction to organ music. I still have the two records I received as gifts. Once you fall in love with the organ there is no going back---Fun fact---prior to the invention of the steam engine the two most complicated mechanical devices invented by human beings were the clock and the ORGAN!
@@petejungen1636 Well my dutch friend, as i read many encyclopedias, books about everything from astronomy to human anatomy & zoology, i knew about the pipe organ from my readings about classification of musical instruments, the sound wave propagation, and from all the cartoons, Dracula film clips, captain Nemo & Nautilus
So in the Arab & Muslim world, one must have a lot of general knowledge to know about pipe organs as it's mostly viewed as a church & christian artifact , even though Mozart, Beethoven & even Bach non organ music are widely known !
I believe that musical instruments in particular must not be attached to certain faith and must be universal , so there is Arab instrument but there is no such a thing as "Islamic instrument "!
Our Mother played pipe organ and piano - She would have held her own with these talented brothers ❤
Nice.
It such a pity that so few realize that the Eurovision theme was composed by a great composer!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
🕊️♥️🕊️♥️🕊️♥️🕊️
One of my favourites! My youngest son played this on the Euphonium and I accompanied him on the piano. Still, Te Deum sounds better on a pipe organ. Grand and jubilant!
Esta noche a escuchar Zorra de Nebulossa
I've been looking for a good transcription of this piece of which there are few, really hoping this will soon be available through your website!
Wo findet man di Notdn ?
play some petrali plzzzz
👍👍👍👏👏👏

Comparing this and Simple Gifts makes it obvious that music is more than just basic notes. Bet most people don't even notice how similar the note progression is.
