Nice selection! Just got a Bardstown Discovery 11 for $149. Very good! Russell’s 13 is on top of my hunt list. I’ve had one pour and it was one of my all time favorites. I had a chance at a bottle, but no way I’m paying $400. I have the Knob Creek 18 and paid $155. Not bad, but not even my favorite Knob Creek.
If Russell’s 10 was cask strength it would be a banger. In fact to me that’s what is wrong with it. It’s good but pails in comparison to the single barrel by tons. Yes it’s 45 in my area so just adding three years with the 13 the math just doesn’t work out. Personally it should be 100 bottle in my opinion. The single barrel pick is 70-75 and it’s very close to 10 years if not a bit older. Anything over 150 after tax is just a no go I’ll do the Bardstown at 140 if I can get it but the discovery is 149 so not a bottle I’m getting. I do enjoy their origin and fusion series and I’m ok with them. Great list and if I see some of these I’ll certainly try and get them. Enjoy!!
Can’t disagree with ya here. Russell’s Single Barrel is a go too. Better than the 10. We wish the 13 was a $100 and readily available. We are a fan of everything from Bardstown. If you get a chance, we recommend trying the discovery though. It’s special. Cheers. 🥃
KC 18 is too expensive that's why noone bothers. If KC 12 wasn't so amazing at a third of the price of KC18, more ppl would buy KC18. I have batch 2 of KC18 because I'm into oak and love KC. I dont see myself buying a second one. I do however have 2 KC12s. The 15yr is also very good but overpriced. It is limited series, but I won't be getting a back up of that one either. Wouldn't say no to being gifted though. Good video. Cheers
Off the top of my head i can't think of any 18-ish year, 100-ish proof bottles at less than that price, though. EC18 goes for $200+ secondary around us. That's highway robbery for a 90 proof bottle. And yes, KC12 is amazing and a good value. Thanks for watching, cheers!

These are rarer than most but wouldn’t say unicorns. We picked up all in MO except for the Bardstown. Those aren’t in MO yet so we pick those up when traveling. Cheers. 🥃

Discovery series 11 is my favorite so far. You hit the nail on the head with that maple note on that Michters barrel strength Rye. Phenomenal bottle.
