Poor Mustafa. It breaks my heart that children were treated like this, I have a son so it bothers me to see how scared an innocent child must have felt. Always to feel like you were abandoned. Afraid to be killed and not knowing what you did wrong. Its so sad.
Kosem took control and power over the Harem so soon and it took others in history until their son ascended. Obviously not Hurrem sultan. Hurrem sultan enjoyed the power of a Valide sultan without becoming a valide sultan
1 hurrem never had the power of a valide sultan, because the era valide sultanas started with nurbanu. Selim officiated this title for nurbanu when he was alive to ensure their sin ascended, nurbanu was the only sultanas to hold both titles of valife sultan and haseki sultan at the same time. An ambassador talked about how she often flexed her twin titles and how she was addressed as "valide haseki sultan" during the reign of her husband selim. Before nurbanu, the mothers of a reigning sultan had the title "valide hatun" or just "sultana" . But valide sultan started with nurbanu and it's an actual position of power with legal authority and second in power only to the padishah (sultan) So the only true first valide sultan and the first powerful, influential women in ottoman history is nurbanu as she interfered directly in politics during the reign of her husband and sun, she and the grand Vizier sokollu basically ruled the empire during the reign of selim. 2 hurrem ruled the harem for a short period of time because hafsa sultan lived for half of Suleiman reign, and ofc his sisters, all of which loved hurrem and considered her a sister. Also kosem is probably the most powerful haseki (alongside hurrem and nurbanu) because she and Ahmed were the same age (she could've been a year older then him ) and they grew up together so he always considered her as his equal. Even during the reign of valide hand and sultan (who was in fact powerful in history) kosem as haseki still had more influence on Ahmed them her and still interfered in politics more.
Women are far more smarter and wiser than whole men army there. I like safiya character most because she always manage to return. Kosem never lose control on herself always smartly handle the situation.
Most of them (knowing they have little worth...unless sold off to an extremely old-fart) are insane or somewhat off because their laws of up-bringing....so they have learned to be cunning and ruthless ...for a chance at not being ignored, pushed around or bargained off really quickly. The men on the other have no idea what they have created....they are always surprised when the women are up-set and don't want them to sleep with whoever they want ...and make other children... They (the Women) even if they did not care about the man having so many women and loved and cared for every single child that is born...they will probably have to watch them be murdered ...or they will have their own children murdered by others (Even their own father). These things will make you think out-of the box...(Which makes them seem smarter) It probably drove some of them mad ,or made them as cold as ice. Safiya is an ice queen.... I find her too ruthless....I would have said bye-bye to her a long time ago....she is too evil...she has demons.
I have seen this amongst certain ethnic communities in the UK. Arranged marriages to get people into the UK. Old men (British Citizens) marrying young women from their home countries also taking young women as 2nd wives. I knew some 60 year old men married to 18 year olds and some girls whose birth certificates were forged. Their real ages were under 15. I was a housing officer for a council and a housing association in East London for 26 years. The women in those countries had no choice. In the UK they do.
ALL for MORE Power...... No love....that's why they (the sultanas) are all sooooo mean. They care for no one because no one truly cared for them. They were used to receive favors. Hear take my young, young, young daughter away and do what you want to her.....Now make-sure you vote for, or kill, or go to war with who I want you to. They learned to get power, you should be ruthless and uncaring . They also know their children are not important..at some point and will probably be murdered.(if they do not murder the others first.) See what wicked, immoral, unjust laws create....Why didn't any of the Sultans change that Law????? Sulyeman was soooo worried about this...BUT DID NOTHING TO PREVENT IT.....and how about all the children created by a harem...by the child slave trade that was totally legal for the Sultans????

So you wanna change History, the real history, what happened back in the 1600s, lmao thats funny, Kosem is the first regent queen and u call her stupid, and Ahmed Sultan stopped something so ruthless the killing of brothers, after his reign it stopped, he was the one who stopped the killing of brothers and u call him Weak? he's very depressed bcs he's betrayed over and over again. Shut the f up. Sultan Ahmet wasn't weak, he was literally a kid (14yo) when he ascended to the throne. The fact that they try to make Mustafa that way so he can have the mental problems he got in real life is somewhat okay if it's done right. In real life, Mustafa got paranoid due to the fear of being killed that the people of the empire hated him and deemed him unfitted to rule.
Halime Sultan would have helped Kosem Sultan always and may be both of them could help each other to protect their princes... But greed took all of them down...
Great acting, supreme! I just love Cennet, I think she is adorable with her expressions.
Holy afshar made this episode extremely perfect. She has proved that she is still the queen of celebrities.well done to her.
Who do you mean?
@@naomigtangonan9583 I mean safie sultan
With Mustafa growing up so fast...lost some 10 years plus... I'm perplexed! In between Kosem has been producing offsprings...like one after another and where is her eldest son Mehmet and Osman!
Nader shah afshar??
Iskender's life story is one of a kind.
Humasah = Sah's brain + Fatma's sensuality
No this name is coming from tamasha. Nothing to do with brain and shah
She resembles Fatimah too.
@@sajiddannamirza1529 who is fatimah
@@vcylo she was one of Sueliman's sisters in the original Magnificent Century
Yesss 100% sure about her having Shahubans brains but iam not sure about Fatmas sensuality
He drinks wine like water 😳🙄🥺😰😂😂😂 reminds me someone from the past too lol 😅uhoh
So Episode 19 is a time passage, losing us some 10-15 years of good meaty drama.
Because the evil mother humasha and sultan sufiye already in the scenes😈😈😈
Not really, since poor Ahmed I ruled for only 13 years, and later Murad IV died at the age Suleyman became sultan!
Halime's mindset , she is so smart ,if she got the power she has ability to rule ........🔥
How does a pregnant woman keep from not going to the bathroom........she must have super bladder!!!!!
Safiye Sultan why she always say we like she is more than one person 😂😂😂.
It's a Royal we
The way kösem was eating the bread was so cute ❤😂
I have a hard time because I like Safiye better than Narbanu. I also like this Kosem, but I can't help but kind of like Humsah as well- I want so much better for this character.
Is there a series about Nurbanu/ Safiye times? Because everybody defending her so much but here we see so much Evil from her.
well they told before hurrem created another hurrem which is nurbanu and mihrima created another hurrem which is safiya and safiya created another hurrem which is kosem 😂😂😂
@@shakiramonille2559 hurrem supremacy 😂
@@klaraorosz5338 I read nurbanus reign and honestly she was more interesting than safiye not only did she get married to sultan selim II she basically ruled the state with the grand vizier of sultan selim II
Ohh mehmed giray, you're so handsome😭❤️
Yes!!!! Lots of handsome men in this series!!!!!
I must admit that Zulfiker's wild side made me go crazy ahahah
😁
I can Sense romance between humasha and chief guardian.
As much as i dislike Safiye ( I prefer Nurbanu ofc) I feel for her. And im happy she found out about Iskander! No mother deserves to be seperated from their child. (with no reasoning)
NurbAnu was a real snake
What a good transition into Mustafa's age
sultan ahmet mosque, even knows as the blue mosque, is one of the most beautifull in türkiye
Humasha Sultan she looks like hurrem Sultan so beautiful
😮 no not even close. Meryem is the most beautiful Sultana 😍
I don't know if I'm.going to love kosem or I will hate her because sometimes shes gone too far ..
I already have started hating her🙂
Y
I guess the costume budget for the show isn't very big as Kosem seems to wear the same 2 dresses over and over.
Wow ! I think now I see the new Kösem is wiser than Hurrem. She is calm and her gesture not too emotional like Hurrem did sometimes. I can remember how Hurrem is too noisy and annoying sometimes when teasing his enemy. Ķösem is more sophisticated in her move. 😊 Btw.... why I sense that Zulfikar and Humasah Sultana like each other, like Dervish and Handan. Hmmm...... hopefully it wont end in tragicly. And hey, I like the way Mehmed Giray and Iskender saving Kösem from those bandit. And at last of this episode, I still hate Halime. She is an opportunist. Never genuine. 😷
Okayy so now after HANDAN and DERVISH we have HUMASHAH and ZULFIKAR!!
Except they get married, not executed.
Honestly, they always put a soft blur edit on safiye's face, without it, she's still flawless, it's a lot better without it.
Putting on speed have save me so much time, it still seems normal to me 😂
pinhan aga, such a lunatic, he literally made mustafa psychotic
wait isn't Pinhan aga a hallucination? first time watching the series and by the acting it makes me think is mustafas imaginary friend or a hallucination as a sign of him losing his sanity in isolation.
I think he's the imaginary friend conceived out of severe sorrow and loneliness.....and of course crazy
I like to watch scenes of iskandar and safiye more then kosem and ahmed.
i hate ahmed and kosem part
@@muuezza5588 i luv the way they r so heart fluttering kosem and ahmed so pure and intimate
@@muuezza5588 I agree.. mostly its the same thing over and over again.
Can someone explain why the "long versions" and how different from the regular series?
Is 3 or 4 episode all together
And, there is the famous Temple. Still standing today xoxo
Mehmet Giray was handsome indeed ❤
It seems that every powerful sultanas who have a lil mercy had someone other than sultans to love them like hurrem had leo, nurbanu had gazabfer, and now kosem has iskender
so here the greediness for power start for kosem... i begin to dislike kosem... good job actress..
unbelievable, so it was Sultan Ahmed i who built the blue mosque in Istanbul 😮
I wonder, is Ahmet as sweet in real life as he is in this series?? I wonder also, does anyone have a secret lover they can’t have in real life, but love secretly and is locked away in their heart… someone they fantasise over??
Sultan is very weak ruler and easily manupulated. The women in the harem are much more decisive and ruthless. Kosem is too good to be true....stupid the way she gets her own way all the time.
You guys really need some basic understanding of a human being.
Shut the f up. Sultan Ahmet wasn't weak, he was literally a kid (14yo) when he ascended to the throne. Lost his mother and his most loyal pasha in span of a year.. safiye was sent to old palace he literally had no one from his own blood in the palace.
Unfortunately he died young, or he would've been a great ruler. He literally was so kind ffs.
@@kimberlyanton955 Amen!! It was a difficult task to rule with Love and justice and not abuse power with so many hardships making people unhealed, losing their mind and deceiving their hearts.. It's not a sign of weakness, but of strenght to stay true to yourself in the midst of all madness..
It takes courage to change a law and live even more in fear because of changing it, because the change was still fresh for everyone around him..
Let's not forget most rulers were ruthless and just enjoyed power..
Iskendar is so Bali bey 😁
The young mostafa is very good
The moment when bulbul met up again with Safiye it touched
Poor Zulfikar. He is such a great pearson. Humasah dies not deserve him but he still loves her
Poor Mustafa is heartbreaking 😢 💔 😞 😔 hi is missing mommy
Kosem is annoying! She’s paranoid too much
Totalllyyyy agreedddddddddd
And unbelievably arrogant and disrespectful
The way kosem smile is the great
I’m starting to dislike Kosem, the way she sent humasah back to her abusive husband just because she didnt let her go out and do what she wants, also she’s so disrespectful to people above her, but she demands respect from iskender when he said nothing.
She doesn’t want friends, she want puppets.
Really..? She kidnapped kosem and used this game to get her evil mother out of that tower... When she knew kosem was pregnant she risked a dynasty member too for her dirty games...
Lol . Kosem was not stupid . She knew humasah intention. Plus she is valide of two princess.she has the right to rule harem and not humasah
I’ll miss little baby Mustafa
He was so cute
Halime 😂😂😂😂 she can read people's BS very easy.😂😂😂 she's no joke

Translation is just passable. Here, it's translated as "merchants and prostitutes".
What she really says is
"Tujjarlar (merchants), kira-khadanlar (kira- women a.k.a female Jewish businesswomen/bankers)"
I know nuances get shuffled in translation, but still businesswomen to prostitutes?🤨
Safiye Sultan needs an Oscar for her performance 😂. I cannot stand Kosem until the later episodes because atp you have to respect her
Never cannot c9mpare to hurrem and suleiman love😢
Ahmed as being sultan is very far to his great grandfather sultan suleiman.he should go on looking for kosem day and night as what suleiman did to hurrem.
But his staying in his room and still mourn.
A sultan should not mourn especially if his beloved sultana is gone in the palace.
Poor cat that always has to travel
Casts keep wearing same dress specially cosem.
Well what should they do ?
U expect them to throw the dress away after they have worn it and in the old days they used to wear the same dresses alot
In this episode, Hümaşah is wearing Hurrem’s dress. Extremely hard-wearing fabrics, to last five generations!
I am waiting to see again that yellow/ Orange dress of Hurrem. It was spectacular but specially because of her hair colour.
@@klaraorosz5338 I really do not know which one you have in mind: there is one in Ep. 57 with her children and Ep. 42 when they get married and she wears the crown, too!
